Steve's most underrated song, IMO. This is the radio edit. The full song is verse-chorus-verse-chorus. Nicole seemed to have forgotten they were doing the short version: look at her face at 2:45.
One of my favorite songs of all time. I have a million videos for it in my head (okay, slightly less.) I saw Stevie Winwodd at Tanglewood and at the Hartford Civic Center and he was DIVINE. Truly admire his work.
This is the best version of 'Still In The Game' with the fantastic chorus repeating twice after the second verse. The iTunes version has a longer build up but less of the chorus. One of his best songs, along with 'Valerie' from the same album, 'While You See A Chance', and 'The Finer Things'.
I recall a video of this song (maybe this video) back in the early days of MTV. I have remembered it over the years, but I never could find it again until this post on youtube. So - thanks Tofety.
Same here. I saw this on TV just once way back then and I was mesmerized by her beauty! After all these years, I couldn't remember the song or title, but I knew it was Steve Winwood. Then RUclips came along and I still couldn't find this video for a few years until now! Nicole is just as pretty as I remembered! Thanks for posting it!
I remember hearing this sometime in 83....the radio stations seemed to drop it immediately from airplay. I loved it then, and tried hard to find it...love it still!
You could tell by the way she looked at him while they sung together in this song, that Nicole deeply loved Steve Winwood.I'm sorry to hear that they divorced just 2 years after having done this song, she had a very sweet, kind, and very pretty face.I'm saddened to learn of her death, what did she die of?.John M Guinto
I love him! His music truly helped me heal. This video is absolutely precious! Musically a gorgeous duet!❤❤❤
this song got me through some tough times
I love this song since the eighties. The singing harmonies between Nicole and Steve are incredible. Precious.
This was the song that introduced me to Steve Winwood and is still my favorite. What a beautiful celebration of the human spirit!
Banger of a song. Still grabs me by the yarbles!
Absolutely the best track on "Talking Back to the Night" and one of the best of the 80s. Brilliant.
Aboslutely agree with that! What a surprise it was not included on the 'Chronicles' compilation.
Agreed, awesome
Another good track by the man and Nicole. A beautiful lady who is sorely missed
Best song by far that Windwood ever sung.

RIP Nicole. I love the energy in that song.
I Like How Steve Winwood's wife Nicole does backing vocals in the song, and on songs in the album "Talking Back to The Night".
Absolutely loved Steve Winwood in Traffic!

I had no idea that there was a video for this song. One of my favorites by steve winwood!!
I love the drumbeat.
Love it !!!
But is one song that so many people don't seem to know: : (
Thanks for uploading. Haven't heard this since about 1983. Can it really be 30 years?

Heck, now it's June 2024 - and it's still good.
Cheers , Stevie.
Very neat harmonies too , with your Lady Wife ❤+❤=❤
I'm exquisite, thank you!

Till I met my BF the only Winwood I knew was from his 80 hits. The BF made me aware of Traffic, Spencer Davis Project and the like. Who Knew?
Yes, that was Nicole, his wife. They divorced in 1985, I believe. Regrettably, she died in 2005.
yeah, it's Winwood, I know that...blame the cat.
why is this the only vid of this song on youtube oh no don't tell me it's stupid CR again!
who's the chick? His wife? Is her name Nicole?
6 people are out of the game.
Of course they divorced... After him singing about Valerie here Valerie there... :0)
