This is for Till Lindemann and Richard Z. Kruspe (lead guitar) one of the most intimate songs due to bad relationships to their mothers. Thats the reason for this crying lead guitar riff.
The green stage lights refer to the album cover (a fetus in formaldehyde) and the song.

Till's father wrote a book under a pseudonym and without the son's consent. the time they spent together at their home in the countryside. at the end they had a fist fight. they never spoke to each other again. Till republished the book because it speaks well of his mother. with whom he gets along very well. the mother topic is not about her bad relationship . his father was a wellknown child writer and his mother a party comunist journalist.

About the song itself:
The lyrics talk about a artificially conceived child which therefore has no mother. It feels both hatred and longing for the mother it never had.
Of course, this being Rammstein, the lyrics should never just be taken for what can be read at first glance. In this instance, I feel like the song generally portrays a bad mother-child relationship where the child feels like the mother hasn‘t been there and may resent her, however there‘s still this longing for her presence and affection, which is just natural for every human.
I‘m sure there‘s much more that can be found when really diving into the lyrics. This is just to give some context and quick information. Have a great day!

Great reaction! The Mutter album (2001) was definitely a turning point in R+'s sound, so there are a lot of really funky "different" things that came out of it. During that period, they were experiencing a lot of friction with each other and trying to figure a lot of things out for themselves regarding their personal lives, individual careers, themselves as artists, and where they wanted to go with the band. They nearly split up a few times during the production of the album. They came through the process with a lot of new approaches, techniques, and a stronger bond with each other. It says a lot that these guys have been around since the early '90s with 6 bandmembers and all original bandmembers with no drop-offs or hiatuses. A lot of the "Making Of" videos they put out give some great insight into their thought processes and production, and they come with English subtitles now, too.
Without understanding the lyrics, we will not be thrilled by the performance. Lets see if I'm wrong.

Always love it when reactors notice the key change or talk about it, because it's my favorite part of the song aswell.
The guitars in the studio version sound more powerful to me. You should give it a try too :) Maybe in private or as a reaction video for the official music video. But there is a good chance it gets blocked.

New to your channel, I like the reviews. The only thing I would add is maybe looking into English song lyrics so you get the full feeling of a song before the listen and review. For me the context goes hand in hand with the experience of a rammstein song. Keep up the good work DH

Basically, this song is sung from the perspective of a man born in a test tube who is both angry and in love with the mother he never had...but mostly anger...in that he wants her dead. As usual...epic tier reaction from you! I love the fact you can actually analyze what is going on musically!
Rammstein are known and loved for their crazy live performances and their insane pyro effects.
This is absolutely OK, but as this song shows, they can be awesome without this. Till has a great voice which is often underrated and they can be intense with a stripped back performance as well.

It´s a sad song of a bad relationship, and no mercy. May´s world is right, Ich will is a great song, please uncut video. Seeing an officer pee into his trousers because of fear, or the dance of dead with a lady later lying on the floor, it´s a deep video with a great song.

Be honest, I didn't like "Paris" as concert movie. Horrific epileptic cuts in some moments, overabundance of effects, butchered sound, and shitstorm after releasing of that movie caused their YT account to just disable entire comments section in every clip. Negative feedback was overwhelming in 2016.
I think that's why they haven't released the music video of "Zeig Dich" from him.
