Rammstein isn't just another rock band they are entertainers..Till Lindemann isn't just another singer he is an artist..a poet..a lyrical genius( Till also plays the harmonica).. Christian "Flake" Lorenz (keyboardist) said.“Till radiates complete authority in my eyes" “When he sings or says something, you realize that he also means it. That makes the whole song a lot more precious. Especially since there are singers who say or sing just about anything because it sounds good. With Till, you know that he means it.” 😍🤗💕💕💕

Rammstein is best enjoyed live! One of the live bands ever...each song tells a story and each performance is an act in their opera!

Rammstein always leaves room for interpretation, that’s what I love about them. Every song has a (sometimes not so) hidden message in it and the more you hear a song, the more meaning you can find in it.
Till once said that many of their songs are about love - every version and sometimes perversion of love, but still love.
Mutter -> love for a nonexistent mother
Ich tu dir weh -> pain as sexual gratification
Mann gegen Mann -> homosexual love
Spiel mit mir -> love between siblings
Puppe -> a Brother that loves his sister
and many more.

I believe this song could be based on the feankestein story, also the stage and the acting, this one smells like and old feankestein movie... I love it!

As with all Rammstein songs, Mutter is layered and you take from it what you will. It can be seen as a song about a child brought into the world as the result of an experiment. It can also be seen as a song about a child who has never felt maternal love even though they were born naturally. Many people have difficult relationships with their mother , not feeling as though the mother cares for them in the way that they should and some mothers don't. Richard Kruspe has spoken about his difficult relationship with his mother and Till Lindemann wasn't particularly close to his mother either, although both seem to have become closer to their mothers as they've grown older. The four calls of "Mother" always send tingles down my spine and make the hair on the back of my neck stand up. The end lines of "Mother, Mother, give me strength" always make me so sad, I mean, you look to your parents for support, you shouldn't feel the need to almost beg for it. Love watching your Rammstein reactions and, as you say, you always get a stunning performance from the guys.

It is exactly that reason, why I have problems to listen to this song. I grew up, with a father, who is an alcoholic since I am a Baby and a mother I started to protect as I was 12 years old and have known she is pregnant, only to get told 20 years later, that I did nothing for her and my sister. As I remembered her, she looked at me and told me "a boy could have done it better". How can I forgive this? I am still talking to her, but in a different way. I could never get "close" again. I don't care, what others say, there are things, which you can not forget and forgive!
@@andreagruber5813 I can relate to much of what you've said about your mother. If there's one thing it's taught me, it's never to be that sort of person to my own son. I would hate to know that he felt about me the way that I feel about my own mother.
@@fionadowdeswell-simmons4968 Well, I think, I would be the same, but this is the other unfortunate thing. I lost my child. Sometimes I ask myself, why I have sometimes this feeling, that only "bad things" are happening. I know, not all are bad, but there are days, you know. I try to move on, so good I can. Enjoy the rest of your evening.
