I’m American and I find it f**king hilarious to watch my fellow Americans freak out about this song. Too bad he didn’t react to “Pussy”.
the fun part is that they tried to make him look like his mother and they where so alike when it was all done hehe.
And here is the prudishness of Americans. I think you can win every fight against America, you just have to lead the soldiers into the field unarmed and without clothes. The women even only need slightly transparent tops. They all sink into the ground in shame and the fight is won. And the head of the reactor almost bursts, it gets so red in the face. 😁
And of course that is not the end of the channel, because the video can be seen on youtube without any problems. Thats just fun. 😁
There is also no shock factor here, because everyone knows what they are getting into with Rammstein and the song and the associated performance have already been performed several times.
But I can say in comparison to others, he still coped with it quite well.

Comon folks, it is 2021. We have left the 1900s behind for a while now. No one needs to nearly faint because of seeing this stuff these days. Seriously.
I remember, I organized New Year's Eve at my house, I invited my friends. None of them listen heavy music, they are more into club music. My husband gave me a live Rammstein concert from Paris for Christmas. Everyone had drunk enough, now I thought is my moment and turned on the Buck Dish. I still remember all the faces, disgust, embarrassment, confusion, hilarious😂
Great reaction to one great act! Fun fact (for me atleast): They performed this song on the "Family Values Tour" back in the days... Not sure how much the other artists and bands on the tour appreciated the act! :)

This song live perfomances get them a few troubles in US. Till and Flake gets arrested at one gig (get out after paying criminal bail), and band don't go to US for a few years, around 11 exactly.
Also US tour provided us with one of their most hilarious live perfomances, St. Paul 1999, where entire band was completly drunk or stoned. And behave on stage in really amusing way, completly butchering some songs.
they didn't go to the US due to the long draining tours you have to do in the US, cruising through the whole country with your tourbus. At least thats what I remember from the Amerika documentary. At least that arrest was not the only reason.

this time it was Richard. In older live performances it was the drummer who did the introduction part.
The fluid was milk in the past but they changed it to water and or alcohol I believe.

I was uncomfortable, but not because I found it offensive or anything like that. I was uncomfortable because I was worried about what might happen to the channel. I know a lot of kids watch this channel....and all it would take is one upset parent to report this video, and I could end up having the channel getting terminated. That's why I was freaking out a little bit. I've been to Amsterdam, Germany, Italy, Prague....nothing really shocks me anymore.

When they did this back in 1999 in Worcester, the keyboardist and Till got arrested and stayed the night in jail.. Yes, SOMEONE can get offended (laws for example), but they've done a great job each time. It's actually some kind of alcohol and for a fan it's an honor to receive it.
And to Gwar and organs and blood: Till did something quite similar on his last solo tour.. Won't tell anything more ;)

In 1999, Till (lead Vocal) and Flake (keyboard) got arrested and charged with "lewd and lascivious behavior" when they performed this song in Massachusetts and were locked up in jail for one night.
They actually do amp crowds up you just dont see as much as camera focus is on till more often then not....example Du Hast when Till is raising his hands for crowd interaction so are Richard and Paul but they are in the background of the video so you dont really see it.
So... i saw this concert in Anaheim in 2012 i think. Two songs later, they played Amerika... and glitter bombed the crowed after already dousing them.
They were nice and used big glitter, but still.
Its was outstanding, especially because i was sitting in the nosebleeds.
I'm always really amused by how prudish Americans are when it comes to sex XD I watched this back in 1999, when I was 12, and wasn't phased. This song slaps and it's always been one of my favourites!

Well, watching and listening to Rammstein you have to be aware that you´re always going to have to deal with some layers of meaning. Even as a native German I need my time to check it out sometimes. This song and performance, shocking as a start for the order of `bend down!´ and have your a** f***ed seems to be an abusive and violent kind of thing at first view. And of course they are provoking. But all their provoking stuff may lead you onward. In this case think of all the people selling their time, personality, character and souls in some wretched kind of jobs, with bad ass principals shoving them around (or beeing such an a**hole type of boss themselves), maybe even licking someones boots to just make their way to money and more money. Well, there you are... bend over! And again! Sell yourself! And don´t believe your boss is interested in you being a human ("Dein Gesicht ist mir egal, bück dich noch einmal!" - I´m not interested in your face. Just bend over again and let me utilize you.) (Sorry if unclear, its not that simple to explain in a foreign language without very much practice.)

Now. *clears thrat* seeing it how you thought the whole spraying thing all over the crowd was awesome and hysterical, I recommend you react to the live performance of their song "Pussy". The canon used for that performance has changed over the years so, at the first live performances of this particular song, let's just say "the actual thing" was on full display. You'll get what I mean once you see the song played live.

What a performance..... the choreography, but then they still do the thing organically by actually playing.
EDIT: Like say that was the show you were going to put on as a band..... it requires either fluid adaptation from people knowing each other so long, or very detailed cues.

It's less shocking. Till (lead vocal) just shoots bubbles instead of viscous white liquid, out of a huge cannon, instead of a tiny rubber phallus. The big surprise is Till sings parts of the song in "English"!
