About the relationship of the lead singer and the keyboardist: the keyboardist is terrified of flying, so when lighting struck the plane the band was traveling in, the lead singer tried to calm the keyboardist by hugging him. Only he seriously misjudged his own strength and almost suffocated the poor guy.

This is a band that sold out Madison square gardens in less than 20 min. They are one of the best live performances around. American tour 2021, till is also certified pyrotechnition. The European stage for the rest tour takes I believe more than 7 days and 108 trucks they are true performers
65 hours from start to show start. Theirs a time lapse of the stage set up on yt.
Till got certified after an accident at a show where a pieces of the stage prop caught fire

@@sharoonaftab8894 It is hard to believe but he hides behind his stage characters, pyro etc. Ollie is very shy which is why he stands where he does on stage. On the odd occasion that he and Paul swap position on stage he looks really uncomfortable, bless him. He hides behind his masks and outfits as well. Both are softly spoken in interviews as well. The difference between the Rammstein persona and the real person I guess.

What i like about Rammstein is that they never shy away from singing about controversial subjects that other artists wouldn't dare touch..

There are a few links to some older but awesome live performances that I would love to see your reaction to..now 1 of them i had asked other youtubers to react to..not sure if I had asked you? Now the problem is that this particular performance gets blocked.. someone finally found a way to react to it and so far it's still up..he basically had to kinda put a sort of filter to kinda cover the screen where you can't really see the video.. only a little bit..but it was totally fine..i mean I've seen the video myself a bunch of times plus he left a link...i know I'm going off topic but I hate people who watch a reaction channel and complain about oh he's pausing too much.. he's talking too much.. @@Lov3lyskull. yep. Its inspired by a true story in 2001, about Armin Meiwes who eat another guy,Bernd Brandes. All was consensual by both parts. Meiwes posted online that he was looking for someone who would let him cut and eat them and Brend was into that so they meet. You can find more online

There were accidents during this performance. But they happened during the rehearsals. The keyboard player burned his hands when he got out of the pot because Till used the flamethrower much more often during rehearsals. He also reported that he did not get any air because the fire had used up all the oxygen and he was breathing but not getting any oxygen.
Almost right. But Flake was hurt during a workout. And Olli watches over the actions.
Poor Flake, lmao. Till is a liscended pyrotechnician and a master special effects artist. That's how they get away with this (mostly) unharmed.
Everytime I see this live performance, I can't help but go "DAAAMN!" Such power and passion for the craft, all perfectly put together in a show to do what is most important: Entertain the audience. Great reaction!

I actually was at that concert in 2013. In the front rows.
And it is getting hot. Really hot. It’s like you put your face directly into a fireplace for one or two seconds, every time the fire gets off. Sometimes it’s quite hard to bear. But I love it. Can only imagine how hot it gets on stage.
And yes, he did change in about 2 minutes. Here is another song of that concert where you can see for yourself. It’s also a great piece to hear some more of tills voice.

I’ve watched hundreds of reaction videos from different channels and different bands, but THIS reaction is the best one I’ve ever seen. I watch this one a few times a week. The flamethrower part is just sooo fun to watch. Glad you showed it to your wife as well. You are one of the only people who can make me happy for a short while is this miserable world. Thank you.

The Keyboarder told, that he burned his Fingertips while getting out of the glowing Pot after the Exercises with this Trick, after that, he played the complete tour with hurting fingertips. These Guys are crazy and one of the best German Bands i know and listening to :D
The song Seeman has an awesome bass line and Till's vocals are demonstrated beautifully that song has got me through so much. Definitely one to listen to

Love this lol I just discovered Rammstein through my channel as well (never heard of them prior) and they are now one of my favorite bands. Their stage shows are unlike anything I've seen, and THIS performance is pretty "lit" lol Till is a beast!
I saw them live front row in Stockholm 2019, and the metal on my necklace actually got hot from all the fire. Best live show I've ever seen, period. Also had tickets to see them in Gothenburg 2020, but covid happened. This is a band you'll regret not seeing live if they split up I can tell you, I was almost literally blown away
The keyboardist Christian "Flake" Lorenz (pronounced flaka) historically does that stuff because he gets bored with the limited parts in the music, so he gets "killed" fairly often. If you haven't seen Du Hast live in Paris please check it out, you will see where on stage Flake usually is.😁

Till Lindemann is a certified pyrotechnician and all the members are also basically trained in all the pyro stunts.
You said you’re not getting enough of the bas-guitar. But Oliver’s play is extremely noticeable then you listening to it live on a stadium. Everything starts to shake a bit when he does his job on the concert. So you’re not just listening to his play but simply filling it with your whole body.
It’s kind of sad that even “live” video can’t share the whole sound of their performances;(

Loved it 😀 In an interview Flake mentioned that once while he was leaving the pot accidentally touched the rim, not remembering that it's hot. That's how he burnt all his fingers which is not the best thing for a keyboarder on tour...
Small update.
On the 2019 tour, after using the flamethrower and the largest flamethrower, he finally uses some kind of fire cannon. :D

As for the safety issues that you mentioned: in a documentary about them there is a moment when they say about trying out the setup - and in the first test Flake grabbed the edge of the pot and got burned badly, and - as far as I know - he still has blisters on his hands...
Note, how close from the whole setup Paul Landers is - and he even wouldn't care! Kudos to him, when I was a week ago on a concert, standing something like 5 meters from the pot, the heat was INSANE! As for this stage smoke, I was sure that Flake has some oxygen mask hidden - but on the short movie I attached below I don't see any mask...
Tour later this year. Get to their show if you can. I went to the European Stadium Tour in 2019 in Moscow, and they’re bring that show stateside this year.

Mein Teil means my parts or my meat. This true story song is about a personal ad placed by a guy who was seeking someone to volunteer for him to eat. A guy did answer the ad and met up with the solicitor to be eaten. So, the guy ate him alive part by part in front of him.
These guys are awesome to watch.

I went in September to Gillette stadium in Massachusetts and its the best show on the planet.
The lead singer Till Lindemann is a professional pryotechion so yes this is all safe lol. They use a lot of it and get creative with it at times.

@@THEDavidHeretic In 1996 I believe while performing one of their pryo "stunts" if you wanna call it that had some issues and it basically backfired. I can send you the video of it if interested. After this accident, Till went on to get a degree for pryotechion and now their shows are way safer lol.

Yes it happened in Arena, Berlin Germany during Heirate mich..they had a rammstein sign burning over head and it collapsed on the stage..i believe they mentioned that one woman had minor injuries but they paid for everything... very interesting performance to watch and they handled it very professionally..

I reacted the same when I first saw this, too! :o) In their 'Luzhniki Stadium, Moscow 2019' vid, he comes out with a 3rd, even bigger, flame thrower, which is on wheels. And the keyboard player comes out in a silver fireproof suit and helmet. And, a few songs before that, at 33:20 they play 'Puppe', where there's a BIG pram on stage, with a 'Baby' in it, which gets set on fire. Ha!
Yeah, I’ve always thought that, it’s such a powerful language, even angry and intimidating sounding at times, so I think it’s perfect for metal.

It was an awesome show...I don't usually gush like that, but I couldn't help it.
Flake, on keys is an old skool punk, usually down for shock and danger. Yes, they all (esp Til) get burned from time to time. If you look back at the 90s shows, they guys all have their hair slicked back, looking gray...its Desitin, the baby diaper rash cream...also, flame retardant. I was a west coast show handler on their 1st US tour, and had long hair...its impossible to wash out, but if you are close, you lose your hair/eyebrows, lashes...
Oh I'm sure, and probably more if you're not careful.
Im watching the keyboardists face, when they show it and as it gets closer to the middle of the song, and I can see he's like mentally preparing for when Till brings out the the flamethrower. Also Till is not the guy to piss off or get into a big argument with, since he's got access to fire, fireworks,etc.

The channel is 100% viewer request driven, I don't actually pick anything. I take the requests in the order they are received, although I do try to make sure I don't do 4 Pearl Jam songs in a row. But yeah, all the content is 100% selected by viewers from their requests.
I read somewhere that Flake actually had burns on his fingers at the beginning when they first started doing this stunt because they were were still learning how far away Till should stand from the pot and how long to keep the flame thrower on..
Yes, and Flake made the mistake to put his fingers on the edge of the kettle - no pain no gain :)
The singer Til Lindeman is a former pyro technician so he totally knows how to handle the flamethrower and all the other pyro going on on stage

The bravest person in this performance is Paul. Look at him each time Till uses the flamethrower - he keeps in his spot, just faces away a little.

I'm pretty sure the suits that the band wears are fireproof besides that they probably wear a cream or something like that on their skin that's protects against heat for a short amount of time. So it's not really that risky if he forget to duck in the pot. In 30 years of rammstein no one ever get injured because of the pyros, that's because till is a certified pyrotechnican and they have a whole crew of pyrotechnican with them all the time on their tours.

Langauges arent Literarly all the Time, so this has more than only one meaning.
Mein Teil can also mean my Thing, while "Thing" is anything from Bike to House or Tool or whatever you wanna think of

Actually most of the crazy antics that happen to the keyboard player is his idea.. because he said that being a keyboardist isn't very exciting so he wanted to get more info the performance..
Also Till has burned himself.. but he's into pain..like the Mein Hertz Brennt piano version video..the cuts are real.. in Rosenrot...the flogging is real with Till having the worst looking back followed by Richard...in Engel.. the wings weight about 110 lbs.. Subtle thing he throws in that you pick up if you know the language. I remember watching them do ich will in vegas, Till says ich will roofie, most people have no clue what he said but he's cracking himself up

About Rammstein's live performances and their timing, I remember this from a Babymetal interview, let's see what Su-metal had to say about Rammstein live performance:
SU-METAL: I’ve definitely changed a lot. I’ve learned so much from observing the other metal bands we’ve performed with at festivals. Of course, you can do things like listen to metal CDs, but you can’t understand metal just from CDs… I think it’s the same for BABYMETAL… that’s what I think metal is. It’s only in live performances that its strength really shines - it’s music that you need to experience live. That’s why I want to see many metal shows if I’m allowed the opportunity. I absorb metal in my own way by doing that.

SU-METAL: The staff came out and tossed the microphone to the vocalist at just the right time, who took it and went straight to the stage. That kind of teamwork was amazing, and more importantly, I realized that this stage was made possible through such thorough preparation. Normally, it would be dangerous to use fire and other things like that. But they took all of it into consideration, and calculated it all out. I was also impressed with how they used fire as a way to express the music. We use dance to express metal, but Rammstein’s way of expression is just amazing. The show itself is like riding a theme park attraction! Rammstein draws you into their world immediately, and there is a thrill in wondering what’s going to happen next, that makes you feel all kinds of emotions. When the intense music comes on, your heart begins pounding. It wasn’t exactly “total metal entertainment”, but I felt I had seen something amazing. [...]

You should see them live. It's a pelgrimage you HAVE to make. You will never ever forget that experience. They are not at the top but far beyond that. Do you know Till does all the pyro's himself? And Flames travelling over the heads of the audience as well. They get permission for all of that because they are that professional. On stage they build a backdrop that could easily apply for city rights. It is the top of the top of the top.
And when they make a videoclip, they make a Hollywood blockbuster. Watch "adieu" or " Deutschland". Adieu by the way has one of the most beautiful melodies I have ever heard.
But Till is also perfect in small. Watch "mein Herz brennt" , the official piano version. First buy sleeping pills. You'll need them after seeing this video.
