By far the best review I have ever seen. Honest and respectful but pointing out things they need to improve.
I've had the same 24 click damper on my 00 accord.. they are legit! The dampening really works.. riding them for over 2 years
Thank you Static. You always encourage me to work on my CRX
The “teeth” on the shock tower nuts is called serrated, it helps the nuts not to back out. But you are right, it will eat the paint, so it is advised to swap them out to nylon nut with a washer
So sorry for your loss brother hope all is well!! My mother went home to my Lord on 4/27/20! I really enjoy your videos and I hope you continue to show us your love!! God bless you always and your family!!
great videos man u keep me motivated to keep on working on my civic .
Definitely a big difference you see it thru the camera great job love the videos 👍👍👍
I’m so glad you made this video. I think people would probably forget to tighten the damper but. We’re sure this is correct
Great video as always man much love
Crazy how suspension use to be available at a lower priced option all day shit for example F&F type 1s and Tru Harts & a couple other companies were at a 300/400 range a couple years ago and now to find any company under 600/700 is hard. Anything with dampening is 800 and up so Maxeepingzrods is helping the best way the can so keep it up!
..
Im about to install a set of grey maxpeeding coilovers on my 1995 Integra 4 door. Just a beater car while my daily TL is down. Thanks for the video man
Been tracking on these coilovers for 6 events. no issues just need something stiffer as I'm getting more comfortable. 8/10 recommend for something to get you started. Cool to see youre so close by my dude! Love the content! Good vibes from Watsonville CA!!
Did you get that venting sound or that hissing from them on rebound?
@@iiNgONYaMa I did not however because of the price point, quality control may vary. I was gutted so I'm sure Id be hearing something similar to what you were mentioning
Dana, Love the content as usual keep it all coming.
We both see the magic in your attitude return, and know your dad is always watching over you and the family.
The coil overs are good for what they are IMO Definitely budget for sure. I checked their site and the spring rates are as follows
Front: 8kg /mm (448lbs/in), Rear: 5kg/mm(280lbs/in) If you can get a second set of springs to match the front or even more stiffer you might have something decent for the street. Id call them and inquire what is the max spring rate you can push these to? Id be surprised if you can manage a 500lb spring in a budget coilover but ya never know. As far as people knowing where ya live....... I know you aren't far from us but the videos gave it away to us. Take care and hope to meet you soon . I still have that project to attempt when you get the time Best, Paul & Shawna
Hell yeah the guy that wrote that note is right , you are awesome and the videos. Thanks for the content.
Bro those shifts are on point!!!!
Shout out from Manila 🇵🇭
Philippines!!
This video sold me on maxpeeding coilovers just got them delivered the other day and can't wait to get them installed and try them out
Have you installed them yet? How are they? I might pick some up for my CRV.
They are great I really don't have any complaints they are not as stiff or as the skunk 2 and they ride great especially pair with a good camber kit and tires they let you hang a corner at 65 mph and it folks like your riding on smooth ass rails..... Deff with the money just pull the stuff apart and spray everything with a anti corrosion spray to keep anything from seizing later down the road.
This was the day i saw u driving down tully and mclaughlin... nice crx bru
Got a set for my 95 gst eclipse, and I'm impressed with the product for the price
I may buy them for my 97. How was the install?
Definitely getting me a set for the 4th gen prelude
Put them on my integra, pretty good for the price no problems at all after almost a year
Shill
Did you have to run spacers in the back and what size spacers did you run?
Did you tighten the middle nut before installing the one with the damper cuz mine wasn’t all the way tight
Man for the price I like them, if you don't mess with preload and set it properly and go as low as you can they work well for my 99 AWD crv with b18c. I dig the red dampening ones too I got same.
Would have been nice to see both extremes soft and hard on the damper settings in the review drive segment
Mine just arrived today from maxpeeding rods
For the price they are a great deal.. not bad . Its a solid coilover , the fact it has a dampening setting of 25 thats a huge plus. I have them on both my cars. 95 Civic and 99 Rollla.
Yo dana; FRAM's plant made the OEM Honda filters for years and years. Not sure if they still do now, but that's what the OG word is. I'll use most filters anyways; I change my filter every 1000-1500 miles; so cheap ones are fine in my eyes.
I’ve got them on my beater ef hatch. They are waaaay better than I expected. Especially considering how busted Tucson’s roads are.
I bought billet shifter and coilovers used your Code to help on the kickback
I am running them on my Integra.. It takes about 2 weeks for them to settle completely and then I had to re-adjust them a little but they aren't bad for the price.
@nx2overide so they will settle after awhile? I have mine bottomed out on the front and have about an inch or so wheel gap
just installed mine yesterday on ek coupe. Going to raise half inch today have a little rub with 16x7 in wheels..
Helllllllssss yessssss brotherrr mann 💯 let's gooooo efs alll dayyy great work an great care pack 💯💯💯🥳🥳🥳🥳🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘😎😎😎😎
I’ll try this on my crv 1998 proj. Thanks bro.. from Georgia🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭 mabuhay
I got those skunk2 pro on my 2k integra and noticed my ride got stiff and bumpy as hell after I installed mpc lower sub frame brace and new skunk2 lca. I might have to try these coilovers out
I like fram filters have always used them just gotta change your oil regularly that's it
Gonna install my coils tomorrow
In the UK I heard the Honda cars like other manufacturer's have a different setting on the front right hand side ( Drivers here ) To compensate for there always being a driver in the car, After market made be standard on both sides, That right side rattle you mentioned at 17 : 28 Might be because you need to stiffen slightly your left hand side ( Your drivers side ) to compensate for your body weight, It`s similar with the slack needed in a rear motorcycle chain to account for the riders weight
I always wondered about that for proper balancing
I just installed mxprs coils on my del sol and they're straight. Very AFFORDABLE and easy install.
Front coils are lower than rear when maxed out
How do they ride?
@@sentree9857 the description and review by young static are accurate. Theres some seesawing when running soft, but other than that they dampen on pot holes and bumps and hook the tires pretty good when accelerating or taking corners. Cant beat the price. As static mentioned, tighten every thing before installing. Also you can use oem shock bolt and one of the oem shock mount nuts as a fastner because there is no hardware uncluded. Dont homedepot the bolts
Best $$$ I’ve ever spent . I have a set on my 4dr and for the price you Cant Go Wrong my brotha !
Some people likes the stiffness nd some like the softness....but i would not choose maxpeeding rods over skunk2s coilovers period but great upload tho Dana
Hey static ur the best at hondas
Dude, i bet the guy who sent the axles got your address from the number next to your garage door.
or from the end of the last video on another efn crx blog. i gave them a heads up that they should edit it out and they got all pissy with me. but they show his house street and addy on their gps. what pisses me off is they hid the comment and played it off like young static is cool with having his address shown online, and basically called me a thief because i noticed it. what a bunch of tools. those dudes on another efn crx blog lost my respect and subscription.
good job young static on the channel
I had never heard of the crx vlog. Looked up and watched 5 minutes of the last video and ya. Totally see what you mean. Guy zooms in and out showing up and down the street and in his garage.pretty sus. Dana dosen't show all that. You know them impressionable youth and there rap musics...lol
Had them about 1.5 years on my 1988 EF hatch. Had no problems for daily driving. They cost less than Tein S springs and Tokico blues. They are pretty alright for $250. Just tamper your expectations to match the price. Also.....don’t use Fram filters. OEM ftw.
A totally honest review 👍
I got em on my 95 civic coupe for almost a full year and they have been riding perfect since day one. And i had Ksport and these ebay coils ride smoother than those. Fully recommend anyone on buying maxpeedingrod coils for any honda.
Are they still holding up? Really reluctant to buy some...
@@chucknorrin7750 boots are a little crusty and breaking and threads have a little surface rust from normal daily use but still holding up strong. Still recommend them.
Hey static, remember when adjusting dampening on coilovers...to the left is always soft and to the right is always hard...soft is when it's low numbers and hard is when it's high numbers...if the coilovers don't have paperwork with them then u have to turn it all the way to the left and start counting the clicks to the right and once u reach to the end in which it doesn't click anymore then u will know how much dampening the coilovers have...good luck my friend...remember it's the same for all coilovers...
He did exactly what you just described.
Lol
Hmm I might look these up for my tl type s 🤔 need some struts ..nice shifts big dog ...no miss on the 3rd 😎😎😎😎
Listen up I have these and after 6 months they just fall apart. The bushings wear out quick and squeak a ton. One shock of mine is already shot. If all u want is looks? Go for it. But if you do any type of fast driving on track or street, please save ur money and go with something a step up like progress tech or bcracing
And after contacting them they had no desire to help me out. No discount code, didn’t even sympathize.
I used to run skunk2 it was not daily friendly best daily friendly I ran was truhart, truhart feels better than function n form. And I run ff type 2 right now, oh and truhart customer service is top notch, I installed the rear and the fork part where it bolts on to the rear lca snapped and they drove to me to give me replacements same day.
Fram has never failed me
Rough rider😂 that glass was probably cracked under the plastic already and you just couldn't see it
❤ the channel my guy
Man this thing looks fun to drive
ill be picking up a set for the sedan. better than the 150k oem shocks im on
I'm late here but I have the Black ones from about 1.5 yrs ago. Mine are set the the almost hardest setting and it still rides better than my stock 06 Accord v6 (heavy?). They came bolted tight and 2 finger gapped on my 90 hf with hasport help + bushings installed. Cons = no damp instructions or sightings at all. Oh and GSR eng + tranny
I go with wix filters really good for the price
Suspension looked high at first because the wheels go positive camber when you lift the car. It levels back out when you drive.
The teeth on the nuts are there to bite into its mounting surface and get some grab so it won't back out due to vibration, but nylon nuts are always a great choice
Got a set for my cb7. For the price i can't complain, but im still goin to upgrade to to the FF type 2's
I recommend function and form type 2. 800-900 bucks and exactly the same feature and design as BC,k-tuned at half the price plus they have Japanese springs like the swifts offered by other companies for an extra 500.
Oh shit! 2 days in row!!!
My khmer brother doing your thing. Good job and keep it up. What part of Cali you at?
4:55 only real mechanics know he’s still alive after “checking all the hardware “
Maxpeeding fronts are known to not drop as much...got sets for my crx and crv. I used drop forks, but then that kinda kills the budget build. They ride kinda soft..but good for the price.
Nice pull hell yeah
On that right side rattle, have you checked the plastic rack end bushing on that side? It's a plastic sleeve-like bushing inside the rack body that insulates the rack itself from the housing of the rack. I always replace when overhauling a rack. Keep up the greet content Dana.
I have a set of these to put on.. they sent me a gt3582 as well haven't got that on either. They been hounding me to get that review video done but the car is still NA LOLOL Be well brotha!
I bet the Skunk2’s will last longer then those Maxpeeding ones!
Ordered a set of the adjustable damper ones for my sn95 Mustang, haven't had the chance to drive on them yet, but first impression out of the box, was def better than I had expected. There's obviously far better options out there, but for the price point when on a budget, I'd have to say they are pretty hard to beat lol
How they look
@@marcoaarredondo1340 I bought a set of the cheap $250 ones for my civic, they weren't bad with my setup, handling wasn't bad and ride quality was nice compared to other cheap ones, bang for buck on them
I have these on my ls430 and they're really not that bad, especially if you get the adjustable dampening ones.
Got to say bro i love watching your videos got a question can you find me a driver side fender for a 1990 acrua legend need the trim on the fender keep it up bro
The issues I have heard with them is the boot on them doesnt protect the shaft so the seal eventually gets worn out. Also people have reported the internal nut in the shock body coming off.
Exactly what I’ve been told as well.
@@YoungStatic I was doing a lot of research a while back and found these 2 videos informative about the failures. (Hope it's ok to post them here)

Brother FRAM is a major product here is South Africa most cars here use them here ...cos it's made here too lovely quality filters who supply most OEM dealers here too🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦 the factory is under 2 km from my home too
Saludos la crx esta quedando en la madre
Some of the Newer Transit busses have a Driver Recaro seat. Only thing I dislike is the base of the seat doesn’t lean back or forward, only the top half of the seat does.
😂 watched that long advert at the end and seen you "testing" your suspension at the end. The fact that they bounce up and down like that shows that the shocks are not doing what they should do. It should not bounce when you push it like that. I am glad I bought a set of lowering eibach springs instead of these after a bad experience with meister r coilovers. The price for these was good but too many bad reviews. Daily driven so I needed a bit more comfort 😁
That letter in the package was awesome! I think Maxpeedingrods is on to something allowing people with smaller budgets to get good quality parts for cheap. Suspension parts for our little Honda's are so important. Some are too stiff and bouncy, others are overall trash, but this seems good for the person who is trying to have fun without breaking the bank.
I've been running them 3 years now on my da
Gahh damm chirping 3rd and 4th... beast!
Fram oil filters are the next best thing to Honda filters in my book.
Good video on Maxpeeding, any chance of finding a set of brake hose clamps that mount on the front shock body for an Integra?
Un crak broo saludo de aki chile👍
Wagon sitting pretty 💯
I don’t even have a crx lol but I still like watching his videos
Me too
I have the same coilovers on my integra. 1 blew after a month but that’s probably because I flew off a little cliff at GMR 🤦🏻♂️ It’s super soft and probably just good for normal driving but like you said it’s not bad for the price!
yeah soft suspension and GMR is not a good combo!
@@YoungStatic couldn’t agreed more lol
That was cool!!!
Does the fram have a thermostat built in? Look in the hole and compare with gen. If the same use it 😉
That kit seems like it was meant for an integra or su'thing.... do you think the see saw feel is just the need for a lil rake in the stance...idk, im new.
What size is that Nardi? It looks nice and small, it's hard to find anything under 350mm!
Yo how you get your speedo to work..are u still using the cable driven cluster with the cable trans sensor on the k gear box??
My experience was I ordered a set. Shipping was fast but as soon as I opened the box I noticed inside one of the packaging bags had a bunch of oil all over it and the other 3 were fine. I contacted maxpeedingrods and sent them pictures of the product they then said I can pay $30 extra for a rear damper to replace on the one that was leaking I told them I did not want to fix a defective product myself since I paid for a functioning set. After 3 days I convinced them to send me a rear coilover replacement and had to pay $50 for shipping extra. I still haven’t put them on waiting for 10 business days for them to ship to me or give me an update. Maybe they ride good. But bad customer service on my end
Exact same happened to me I’m still in the process
This is exactly what happened to me to my front one is leaking there sending me a replacement damper they really don't want to send people a full replacement
He could make VTEC ASMR hi way drive videos n id still watch
Do an update on them please!!!🙏🏼
I have the Maxpeedingrod coil over. I do like them but I might need readjust the springs because I'm getting weird popping noises. I will gave to see if anything is loose because unlike you iI just unpackaged and installed. They are on my 06 Eclipse.
Called lock rings bro!
Give it a little bit gonna take time for d suspension to settle its gonna come down about 1 1/2" after settling
Does the car lower a bit if put on strait out of the box? I just bot some and love the look of them but haven't put them on
I was wondering what are the torque spec for the fly wheel and pressure plate on the k series can't seem to find it online thanks.
I was jus looking at there website you should try a turbo from them
Another long ass video ! Keep em coming !

Had those skunk2 in my 8th gen so stiff suck for the street
How much would u charge to make gussets for my B 20 all wheel drive trans shift forks
Did you solve the vibration issue?
