An interesting fact and some tips for everyone: Teflon doesn't do the sealing, it's job is actually be a lubricant so the threads can go in completely and seal properly tight up against the taper. For inexpensive complete engine rebuild kits, If I don't use OEM, I use JIS or Evergreen kits. They come with rings, bearings and everything. The evergreen kit even came with VTEC solenoid gaskets to rebuild it. They used to be VERY complete kits.... and haven't failed me yet. For the LS-VTEC plug; fill the gaps on the tap with grease. it will catch all of the chips in the grease while tapping the hole ;) A good trick for doing valves: Find a set of "go/nogo" feeler gauges. They have a second size built in to the single feeler that you can feel the ramp of and know how close they are. For doing cylinder one, set Cylinder #1 at TDC, and you can adjust the valves on both intake and exhaust. Leave the motor at TDC, and adjust only the #2 intake, and #3 Exhaust valves (they are in the correct position). Now notice how you just adjusted half the valves, So now you turn the engine so that #4 is at TDC (two turns). Adjust intake and exhaust on #4, and only intake on #3, and Exhaust on #2. Now all the valves are done without putting the engine at TDC each time. Hondata be pissing off a lot of people now; Can't tune your ecu/connect without an internet connection... so just a big heads up on that recent change of theirs. I still have lots of gripes with them because they stole our rom code, and sued us all because we were competitors. Only think i'd recommend is kpro; just because they have that part of the market pretty much cornered.... but HTS is on with all the canbus stuff (08+ for the most part); more rom definitions every day, and even a few custom changes as well. Keep up the good work dude. -JK

The notch in the water pump housing is an indicator for when your water pump is failing. What happens is when it starts going bad, a slow drizzle or drip will follow the path in the housing and a very slow drop comes out of that notch. Dont full it with rtv. Its supposed to be there.
