If I had $1 for everytime Dana says "I don't have _____ part because ____" and then 2 minutes later "I went through my garage and it turns out I do have one". Then I would have enough funds to turbo my H22 😆

No matter which turbo I'm running I always use a -4 feed line with a 1mm restrictor and a -10 drain line. I have always used an air to air intercooler, but I have seen some people (it's kind of odd unless space constraints come into play) run an air to water intercooler and I hate the 2" hot side with 2.5" cold side, my intercooler has all 2.5" piping. I had good luck with a SpeedDaddy turbo kit when I first installed my turbo on my D series and those t3/t4 .63 trim eBay turbos will last a decent amount of time if you keep the boost fairly low for the first few thousand miles to break the bearings in, and they are perfect for a stock internal D series or even a B series, but you HAVE to use the 1mm restrictor on the feed line to keep the seals from blowing out on those cheap turbos. Also, no matter what engine you start with, do a compression test before you boost it to check the condition of the rings and valve seal, change the head gasket, timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, and buy a set of ARP head studs, brand name or decapped LS injectors (hit up Huntertuned.com), a Walbro 255LPH fuel pump, and an aftermarket MAP sensor (like OmniPower, Hondata, etc) if you're planning on running more than 10 psi. Obviously, if your engine is low on compression or burns oil excessively, then it needs torn down, cleaned, and new rings and bearings (as well as possibly some head work ie. Valve seals, seats, etc). Like Dana said, if you're low on cash, the best option for engine management is to get a chipped and socketed P28 and have Chris Harris at Xenocron make you a basemap and he can burn it on a chip for you. You might need to have someone customize the downpipe for you if it doesn't come with the turbo kit, because the generic downpipes on eBay typically don't fit. Get a v-band downpipe if you can. I try to look out for my Honda brethren. My EJ8 has a 508 whp built LSVTEC turbo in it right now and I'm getting it ready to crank it up as soon as the weather gets nicer here near Pittsburgh. Remember, turbo in moderation because once you go turbo in your Honda, it's a deep dark hole from which there is no escape. I have about $12k into my $2500 car...

Agree completely about the manifold to turbo gasket. Forget the gasket. One thing you can do is torch the manifold till it is red hot and impact the bolts, it will warp the manifold to the turbo exhaust housing

@YoungStatic The blowoff Valve is not just for sounding cool, its to protect the turbo from excess air returning and causing the turbo propeller to spin in the opposite direction and damaging the turbo, this excess air (boost) is let off or blow off instead of returning and damaging the turbo.

Remind your viewers. Journal bearing no restrictor, ballbearing yes but don't use a restrictor. You want a steady 40psi of oil going to your ball bearing Turbo. Use the Turbosmart OPR. It will keep the Turbo healthy and you will not blow out those sensitive turbo oil seals and you will have longer turbo life with no puffs if blue smoke.
