Auto-x is a blast when you have a decently setup car. Koni yellows with the G.C.'s, the big sway, and the LSD make a world of difference. Fine tuning the corner weighting/ balancing with the proper alignment will improve it even more. I have set up quite a bunch of chassis for track duty and prepped customers/ personal cars as well. LRP and the Glen are my two favorite courses. Nice job on the build bro. Gotta love a single jingle! 😎 I built a D16 EG hatch with a genuine Garrett GT30R, Synapse ramhorn, Hondata, ARP's, Cometic, gas flowed head with some port work, H.D. springs/ Super tech valvetrain IIRC, etc. I put this together for a customer of mine, and it was a blast for a somewhat affordable drivetrain when all was said and done. Put down around 380whp- 370wtq +/- on low boost. Car looked very stock on the outside, and even had a full mandrel 3" exhaust with a Magnaflow and resonator that had just a pipe as the 'tip' coming out the back and it was painted all satin black along with the FMIC that was hidden quite well. The gate was vented to atmosphere but the dump pipe was hidden as well pointing at the ground inside the bay. The only sign the car was even modded was the drop from a set of Tein coilovers and some black Slipstreams with R888's for track duty/ and some HX wheels with T1S' just for rolling around on. That was it for the looks department. Totally a SLEEPER until the hood was popped. The exhaust was definitely quiet for what it was, especially with the Magnaflow, Burns Stainless res, and the compressor itself which obviously acts like a 'muffler' to begin with. It was a very low-key looking ride, until you hit the 2-step or antilag LOLOLOL 😂🤣😂🤣👍👍👍👍👍 Thanks again for posting this vidja my dude!!! Was very entertaining and we'll put together!!😉
@@RustBeltAuto Absolutely... Yeah I hear ya on that bro. The compressor size definitely matters when you're trying to keep it in the powerband to where it's the happiest as far as response goes. The lag factor is a beeotch for sure. I use something like the 3071 especially on 4 cyls because it's very spool happy but not too small where it'll leave you wanting more at WOT on a higher speed course/ highway. That 30R I ran on the one D16Y7 I built was the cats ass. Thanks again for the vidja broski and keep it real!!😎👍👍💪

My dude - love you did the A-to-Z on this build - totally love it. Recently picked up a 93 del sol with a d15b7 in it, a legit grampa owned it find less than 100k on the body no rust but oh lordy going from my ej255 wrx running 300/301 to a d15 is painful. Drove an hr north into the boonies and picked up a d16z6 ... Planning to track down one of the jackson superchargers next ... Can't wait to feel your pain lol.
Go with a Gt25 turbo instead, or even an old t3 50trim from a 80's Volvo. With the JRSC you'll be chasing tip-in detonation issues constantly and struggle to get to 200whp with a fully built head. A gt25 will make more than the stock rods will handle, far more than the JRSC if you send it, and boost will be nearly instant.
This was an awesome video but some things you may hear online are actually worth it. Like upgrading your oil pump allows you to rev higher safely without causing your oil to aerate or cavitate which can happen on a stock pump
Cavitation usually comes from a pump that is out of spec. This was not. Aeration comes from a pump that is "sucking" air from somewhere. This build is running strong. So for so good. Thanks for the input.

Thanks! The turbo I have is too big for auto-x, but open lapping is nice.
@@RustBeltAuto
Absolutely...
Wanted to do a rebuild and a Turbo build on my car and was kinda scared and anxious but after watching this dude build and turbo his Honda it looks kinda fun😂😅
One of the best honda builds on RUclips. I feel these reactions to all the little mishaps in the middle of my soul when working on my car haha.
This guy's accent is hilarious. Straight out of the movie Fargo. Your build looks fun as hell.
I'm from Minnesota. I don't have an accent :P
He’s sooooo raw and like a laser straight to the point and has a simple objective to make power- no matter the cost! I’m loving this!!! 🤘🏼🤙🏼
I've watched this video so many times. Your editing style, humor, and build ethic is very entertaining.
Dude I would watch your commentary on everything. Absolutely perfect
First video I've been able to watch from start to finish for a long time.. 11/10
eBay turbos get so much hate out of ignorance, first video I watched and I already subscribed blew the head gasket on the first day at the track 😂😂
I had to watch this twice, at first I was just confused, the jokes just flying around like nothing, the actual mechanical info (also building turbo D16) and
STUTUTUTUTUTU
this is pure gold man
Seemed to learn newer stuff I didn't know off this video. Then the past 15 years I been watching RUclips videos.
Isn't that enlightening? Thanks for watching!
Sir, I only wish I had 2 percent of your talent. You are an amazing dude. Unfortunately, I have no talent in mechanics. I can't even change my oil. I own a honda civic 2000 and I don't know how to make it operate properly. Thanks for the awesome video.
I must say bro....this is thee best build video I've ever seen!!!Cool sense of humor and GREAT BUILD SKILLS!!
Thank you.
Dude that cheap turbo sounds amazing wtf?!
I've been spraying my hoopties with heavy equipment tractor implement paint, dirt cheap looks awesome, I wait a month and clear coat with some expensive crap works good. Love the video (absolutely hilarious 😂😆) I'm subscribing
That sounds like something I would do.
This video is actually the best honda related video i have even seen! His sense of humour is awesome 👌 OK BYE 👋
So many great things about this vid. You should make a video of doing the cheapest possible engine swap on another civic and then you race that one with the turbo D. See which is faster for the money.
Man is a genius I wish that one day I may acquire as much knowledge as him
This is my first time seeing this guy.....it won't be my last this is gold
Unfortunately, I need more money than god to do something like this again. I think it's a one time shot, and built what I always wanted to do.
@@RustBeltAuto just start working on European cars and you'll be rolling in cash
@@xXEvangelXx i did that for a living, and get more pleasure seeing them dead on the side of the road.
This is now my favorite video on RUclips.
Why have I just now found this. This guy is hilarious 😂😂😂
Bro this video is perfect. Funny, entertaining, shows the stuff you’ll run into, has cleaver tips. 10/10 👏
bro a mechanical and theatrical genius
Fellow tulsan here, love the honda bro!
This guy made his own mugen "twin loop" muffler lo amd it cancels the drone. He fabricated everything keeping the AC amd made it a sleeper lol. 405whp 295 wheel torque wow!
Great video, man you sure tackle a bunch of things and don't procrastinate as much as I do.
Started off like ehhh I don’t know about this guy… dude!!! Loved the video! To the point no fluff! Car turned out great!
Thanks.
"ok bye" thats the best outro ive ever heard
This was an awesome video but some things you may hear online are actually worth it. Like upgrading your oil pump allows you to rev higher safely without causing your oil to aerate or cavitate which can happen on a stock pump
Cavitation usually comes from a pump that is out of spec. This was not. Aeration comes from a pump that is "sucking" air from somewhere. This build is running strong. So for so good. Thanks for the input.
