Thanks for the review! I've had a lot of fun making this project, and it's been wonderful seeing people enjoy it and give feedback.
Just a note, the Verdant song you used in this video is Petals Fall, not Tears Rain.
I'd recommend adding a few npcs. Maybe even a small town, and you could add a new ore too. I think a few npcs in a small town would make it especially interesting.
@@justified6280 I'm personally strongly against new ores, they're a really lazy way to add new content. A small town could work, but I'll say no - especially since animating town npcs is a pain and I'd rather not lol

@@gabehaswon If you add new ores then There will be Armor,Staff,Axe,Pickaxe,Armor ETC.
Then Add Animation To Armor it will be COOL
@@gabehaswon Is there plans for a new pylon for verdant? It would be great to set up a town there and use it as a checkpoint for exploration!
I like the idea of peaceful biomes, they could serve as alternatives that dont have the best loot but are a nice casual aproach if needed

@@gabehaswon perhaps you could expand this mod more with that ideology of making safe places in the world for a relaxed casual experience
for example like a mini hot spring biome in the underground desert where you can stop and regen for a while before going out again and getting wrecked by the enemies xD
@@EnderOksam Interesting idea actually. Will keep it in mind, though not for Verdant.
I think it would be neat if there was a sub-biome like the verdant one that slowly vanished instead of spread around or stay idle, and was twice as susceptible to the viral biomes. If you want to keep it, you'd have to maintain it yourself.
Call me weird or terrible but the idea of a fragile peace makes me cherish it more.
@@neroisntdead3681 I would love if it started shrinking in hardmode or got corrupted so you could contain it and not lose it forever
I greatly appreciate this addition. Maybe I’m just ‘unique’, but I’ve always been a fan of the quieter, more peaceful elements of this game like fishing and building. I’m quite satisfied seeing at least one mod that also appreciates the quieter things in life.

I really like the sprite art, whoever it's doing them he killed it, also I like this concept, definitely open for more content like some weapons, tools and maybe their own pylon.
Maybe the said biome could work well for the dryad or witch doctor too

Currently, there are tools and a pylon - but this isn't the final update, I have plenty of plans.

Love this idea. The overall design reminds me of Celeste Chapter 6: Reflection; which is very peaceful and pretty for the first half

Nice biome, and the idea is nice too, maybe a go to spot for a base. From the items I like the Zip Vine the most depending on when you can get it
Nice atmosphere, honestly a pretty original idea for a game as unforgiving and chaotic as Terraria lol
I hope to see a safe biome that makes you feel and say "WOW" and then sigh of relief whenever you visit it. I think it's a good addition. The shimmer biome almost have that same feeling but it's somewhat bland and lack of decorations

like, brawlers start to run away and bats fly away

Fun fact: I started Verdant before Lush Caves were announced. Weird how similar they are
I think this mod seems like it would work well with other mods because the unique style just helps the biome look more lush which is very cool I would love to just have this mod even in a mostly vanilla playthrough

You know whats missing in this mod? Friendly animals that roam around, maybe co-existing with other plants
The bees in the biome already do some thing like this! But yeah, critters with interesting environmental interactions are something I think I'll be adding a lot more of

It makes me recall a certain Starbound underground biome
this idea is honestly frikkin´ amazing if you ask me. a mod dat is intended to create ike 99% atmosphere. on top of dat-since the DEVs dont have to balance stuff its such a great addition to every content mod!

Gonna make a new world with this and Remnants. My base will be in the verdant biome.
I would like for them to add something like dinosaurs. But have them peaceful unless if you attack the local wildlife. Like defenders of the biome

i've seen this mod in the workshop. i think the added tools are really unique, but i just can't get behind how plastic most of the sprites are. it doesn't look real, or like something that belongs in terraria. i'm sure the dev spent a lot of time on the sprites- tiling is hell. but it really turns me away.
also, i'm not really sure how i feel about the idea of a safe biome. a safe mini-biome or structure, maybe, but not a biome. a biome takes up too much space and i personally get really bored already when i'm exploring biomes that don't have much in the way of enemies. unique enemies are a big part of what makes a biome memorable to me, if there's just the occasional bat, skeleton or slime(or in this case, nothing) it just feels dull and empty.
who knows though- maybe the textures will change, maybe a peaceful biome makes for a nice change of pace, haven't tried the mod yet. i'm waiting for 1.4.4 tmod and 1.4 spirit to release, then i'm planning to try a run with the spirit and spooky mods. maybe i should try this mod out, too.
I've been told the tiling is off in some places, and I just haven't had the willpower to redo them. I'll probably get to them eventually, just not now. Maybe I'll practice my texturing first too.
As for the lack of enemies, the hardmode update is planned to have a lot of cool stuff! I won't spoil yet, but if you enjoy enemies there'll be plenty of them.
