Quite a few new tricks to add to my arsenal, thank you :) Regarding the Graveyard biome, I'd like to add 2 things: - You need Ectomist to craft one of the best early game tools ever: The Gravedigger Shovel. Especially if you're playing a For The Worthy or Legendary seed, it's amazing, since they dig up 'soft' blocks in one scoop in a 3x3 area - In order for Abigails flower to spawn, you just need a the gravestones (no biome needed), and grass blocks within 10 (5? I forget the exact number) blocks of it. So you can place gravestones and make like a 10x10 grass stripes around it to increase your chances of it growing Another unrelated overlooked strategy: - Worm-type enemies (including regular worms, sandworms, and Wyverns) can not spawn if you are standing in front of player-placed backgrounds. So if you get harassed by wyverns when fishing in the sky, just place background walls in a area behind you, and you're good to go Edit: This is also the reason, that when you go down into a Desert Pyramid, you're never harassed by worms while inside, since pyramid walls naturally count as player-placed background walls. (You can just make houses in there, but the NPC spawn rate on pyramid background is drastically reduced)
Another tip for eater of worlds is to get spike balls from the goblin tinkerer or goblin invasion. Toss them around the arena and you can shred the eater of worlds in less than a minute.
my personal fav is Ball o' Hurt, then grapple down and just hold your mouse. you can still die if ur survivability is bad, but if you have 300+ hp and 15+ defense, you'll be fine.
A useful thing that I always craft in the graveyard biome is the Gravedigger's Shovel, very useful early game for digging sand, dirt, mud, silt, slush, etc. You can dig through the jungle and mushroom biomes very fast. Also not bad in damage, I find totally worth it!
holy, there's a lot in this video that i REALLY wish people knew, but i still miss you pointing out that you can get water candles before skeletron, which can be great for farming in the early-game
Gotta say this was great. Love to see people talking about hardcore in tips and tricks videos but just a quick side note: npcs only drop graves when there is a hardcore player in the world and the old ones army accessories don’t stack so damage increase is maxed out at 1 of them
I hate how so many people hate the old one's army. The loot is good, the weapons are gimmicky and some seriously needs a rework to be good. But the accessories are great for a summoner. The scarf is a MUST for the visual part alone, goes perfectly with the moon necklace as a werewolf. And the armors are actually good as you showed. You get additional sentries and with the set bonus for sentries, it makes them actually rather good. The mage makes the flameburst's range 50% longer and 40% faster projectiles. The lightning armor bonus is good for the lightning but even just the lightning alone is good. Place a few high platforms and place them there and they cover the entire area around them. Dealing constant damage to any flying boss you encounter. And the second set of armors has the dark mage set which has one of the coolest hats in the game, a tilted top hat!. Even has a little blue spirit flame. What's not to love?
In a graveyard biome, you can also craft a panic necklace with a band of star power and a life crystal or craft a band of star power with a panic necklace and mana crystal. (Both recipes require ecto mist and tinkerers workshop)
The part about OOA is legit what I've experienced just recently. I've forgotten about this event being even a thing during my no craft legendary mode playhtough. In short I ain't skipping this event anymore. This was a lifesaver. Legit. Crystal Assassin armor compared to Squire one is not even close. It was also the only reason how I actually killed Plantera.
@@notmetagamingthis is exactly proving the point, people overlook it because they think sentries aren’t good, but if you actually have a sentry based loadout they are insane
@@bobosaurus331 oh I was new when I wrote that lol I actually always fight deerclops early to get his little sentry, it's not the best but the extra dps always helps no matter what

I can confidently say these are the most unique and still helpful tips I’ve never heard before. Super big props to make a full video of tips that haven’t been done a million times.
6:00 as someone who played summoner for a long time and is used to that low def lifestyle, I will always choose cactus armor for early game because 15-45 dmg is insane. Also, I want to note that my brother also preferred cactus armor over other options available to him.
you also only need an axe to mine it, so as long as you have a decent weapon, say a revolver or the rifle version, which you get for free in the evil biome, you can make some decent armor and weapons from it
"And now you will notice that the grilled squirrel actually sells for 22 silver, _four times_ the amount for the same exact item" This truly is a Das Kapital moment.
3:40 Personally, i think the jungle is the best place to go IF you are good enough not to die. Getting access to the blade of grass, boomstick, and other jungle stuff eatly on will really aidin you exploration of things like the snow biome, and corruption/crimson. Going to the jungle early game is high risk, high reward, both worth it if you can manage to survive (you just need patience to survive the jungle really) but snow biome is definitely my second destination for sure
I’d say in higher difficulties it’s not feasible to rush Jungle without prep to a degree. I rush crimson, get the gun, rush jungle, take the boomstick, and it’s smooth sailing from there.
The t3 tavern armor is amazing for endgame, especially the melee one That got me through all of Master mode, and helped me kill Empress during the day before even starting moon lord
Lots of things here I already knew, but also a lot that I didn't! Like for example the string; I knew I could craft them for easy reforges but it didn't occur to me to dye them. And I knew animals were easy money but it never occurred to me to cook them first. Very nice tips!
Reminder that the Gravedigger's Shovel works on mud and snow, which makes early-game jungle and snow biome way easier, and For The Worthy makes the gravedigger's shovel mine said blocks in one swing
this guy is like the only likeable and entertaining terraria creator I have seen, most of them are just only informational and unfunny at the jokes they crack, but this guy is giving informations whilst being funny. I love it!
Something cool I learned recently about graveyards: If the Dryad is in the biome, she sells seeds for the world evil not native to your world. You can use this to make a world with both world evils, and can allow you to completely regulate its growth since you can choose where to put it.
Ok for the gladiator armor part, I have a early game way to farm them and literally any other enemy drop in the game: Find a gladiator statue, fairly rare, but I’ve been lucky with them using spelunker potions. Place a lava box, with the bottom of the statue touching a disarmed trap. Now place 2 Minecart tracks with bumpers sandwiching a pressure plate track, and boom you have an AFK mob farm pre boss. Even with the 1/150 drop chance for the gear from the statue, I got a full set in like 20 minutes of grind plus some Javelins for some early game DPS.
Here's a tip I think literally no one uses aside of me The Staff of Regrowth gives you multiplied drops of herbs with a chance, which is useful for farming them in harder difficulties where you _need_ potions. It can give you up to 2 herbs and 5 seeds this way But the best thing about it? You can harvest a herb that isn't blooming and still get full drops, both the herb with the same multiplier and the seeds, with the same multiplier as well. Though it does require you to plant your herbs on just blocks instead of planter boxes, it's very much worth it. Plus, it looks much nicer. So stop using planter boxes and pots if you have a Staff of Regrowth, plant your herbs on blocks, and harvest them earlier when they're not blooming yet. This makes it so: - You don't need to wait for day for Dayblooms or night for Moonglows - The Shiverthorns are harvestable much earlier (normally they just bloom after a long time they've matured, essentially just being additional grow time) - You don't need to die of old age while waiting for it to rain to harvest Waterleaves - You don't need to wait until the Blinkroots randomly bloom (because they literally randomly bloom) - You don't need to wait for the short period of time that Fireblossoms bloom - And best of all, you don't need to have a Full or Blood Moon to get seeds from your Deathweeds
Another tip relating to doors during a Blood Moon/Hardmode/in the Dungeon when any ole schmuck can kick em open. Enemies can only open doors away from them, never towards them. Therefore, if you place a torch on the inside of the door, enemies can't open it. Doesn't work on Tall Gates but other than that, it can help out if you're being overrun. Best part is, if a player attempts to open a door when it's blocked on one side, since 1.4 it opens towards the player regardless of which way they're facing, so it's not an inconvenience.
For the boss heart strat I actually use King Slime since he teleports to you and can be summoned at any time, so if I run out of pre-placed hearts I can do it mid-combat. Slime Crowns are also less obnoxious to obtain if you have ruby gemcorns already, and once you leave pre-hardmode gold and platinum isn't useful for a lot else anyway.
I'm glad you talked about gladiator armor. I'm a newish player and when I start a new world I always find a marble biome and farm the armor and javelins. In classic I did an entire playthrough in pre hard mode with just that and a legendary gladius lol it was very fun
Dude I’m doing a legendary mode playthough and I’ve been hard stuck on skeleton. I think you’ve just saved my life with the beach tip my guy. Thank you so much
Terraria tech has evolved so much it's like a whole new game. Probably helps I also forgot most of the tech from years ago. Brain injuries do be like that.
so you would rather Grind for hours to get gladiator armor than going straight for the gold armor using random splunker from pots , And you would rather fish for also Hours to get the turtle mount that no one even uses and lead skeletron with a minecart track , then why not just build the Minecart loop instead since it doesnt require Rng and just getting enough rails
Another problem is just how dangerous the dungeon is in early game. If the only boss you've beaten is Skeletron, you'll most likely be *severely* underprepared, and the video suggests that this strategy is for hardcore...
Dungeon Defenders was one of my favorite games (hard to find people to play with these days). I love that Terraria has included a giant shout-out to DD
Here’s another bit on help with the snow biome, the snow can make snowballs (15 of them) meaning it’s really good if you just spawned in and needed a long range weapon
Imagine telling people to do OOA lmao Also was funny seeing you mention selling cooked critters for money only for the next talking point to be about eating a food item for movement speed.
Oddly enough, I somehow naturally came across the critter cooking money method, since I wondered how much they gave alive, and how much they gave cooked.
This is the first video I've watched from you and I have to say your editing is crazy good. makes me really engaged with the content while also giving useful information to boot. I've been playing terraria for like 10 years now and you still learn something new every day.
It really doesn't take that long when you have an actually good setup for dealing with hoplites where you can use normal melee weapons to kill them, especially since the javelins and gladius they drop are plenty strong enough for hoplites themselves. You're looking at a par of around 40 hoplite kills to get the full set. The bigger problem is just that you have to find a marble biome before you get gold or platinum armor anyways.
For 14:15 I use a single block hoik platform with a pressure plate and a hook. You point the hoik platform towards the pressure plate one block apart and hook yourself roughly below the platform. You'll start going back and forth really fast and activating the pressure plate. And if you wanna farm enemies you can use a flail (flaming mace is really easy to get) or summon to rapidly kill them. It doesn't require shimmer nor finding a specific type of trap and the "hardest" part is knowing how to set up a single block hoik platform which doesn't take you more than a 1min google search.
A tip I use a ton, even if it isn't mechanically related: Host a private, no one allowed multiplayer game for AFKing. My game freezes on focus loss, leading me to real quick tap out to change a video, only to tap back in. Multiplayer runs all the time, regardless of focus status.
4:00 an other bonus sneaky tip for early game, collect every pressureplate and trap and sell them. they sell for like a 10 silver its still good early early game money :)

I actually like this method for killing wyverns. Meanwhile, I've been using the Night's Edge (and similar circular hitbox weapons) with the Slime Mount to just jump on its back repeatedly while slicing at it.
10:36 , poison staff, great for single target dps and the recluses are easy to kill with a water bolt because they just get stunlocked. Or hell just go for a full set of spider gear before you even break a single altar because you can make that stuff with an iron anvil

Bro mentioned all tricks he learnt through all of his challenges and videos he made before What a long journey, every day we learn something new and it keeps going with Terraria
Also for anyone playing during the Halloween time, pumpkin armor set bonus is something like 20% increased damage. Pretty sure just grinding that up before going below the surface or facing a boss is more appealing than grinding out ore armor
About spider biomes spawning more often in ice caves, I couldn't find anything that explicitly says that however, there may be a few reasons for this being the case. 1. Wall placement in the ice biome and the spider biome's spawn conditions overlap well 2. The ice caves generate large cavern-like structures which resemble large open areas that the spider biome needs to spawn 3. Terraria's world generation process tends to overlap or layer some biomes when conditions are right and -as previously mentioned in point two- it just happens that a lot of the requirements and generation criteria overlap. I've only minimally looked into the code for Terraria's biome generation and I haven't done extensive testing so I could be wrong, but this is what I saw from taking a glance at it.

my personal fav is Ball o' Hurt, then grapple down and just hold your mouse. you can still die if ur survivability is bad, but if you have 300+ hp and 15+ defense, you'll be fine.

A useful thing that I always craft in the graveyard biome is the Gravedigger's Shovel, very useful early game for digging sand, dirt, mud, silt, slush, etc. You can dig through the jungle and mushroom biomes very fast. Also not bad in damage, I find totally worth it!
WHAT? Theyre not called "SILVERTHORN"??? Ive been playing since 2014. Ive been living a lie. My whole world is shattered

Gotta say this was great. Love to see people talking about hardcore in tips and tricks videos but just a quick side note: npcs only drop graves when there is a hardcore player in the world and the old ones army accessories don’t stack so damage increase is maxed out at 1 of them
and the old one's army armor sets showed off are post golem since that is when the tavernkeep sells them, despite him saying that its post WoF
@@axon844 the first set of armors are after 1 mech is defeated the second set of armor is when golem is defeated so the squire set is early hardmode
The quality of these newer videos are great. Plus it's got original and helpful ideas. I think the future is bright for this channel

6:00 as someone who played summoner for a long time and is used to that low def lifestyle, I will always choose cactus armor for early game because 15-45 dmg is insane. Also, I want to note that my brother also preferred cactus armor over other options available to him.
you also only need an axe to mine it, so as long as you have a decent weapon, say a revolver or the rifle version, which you get for free in the evil biome, you can make some decent armor and weapons from it
"And now you will notice that the grilled squirrel actually sells for 22 silver, _four times_ the amount for the same exact item"
This truly is a Das Kapital moment.
3:40 Personally, i think the jungle is the best place to go IF you are good enough not to die. Getting access to the blade of grass, boomstick, and other jungle stuff eatly on will really aidin you exploration of things like the snow biome, and corruption/crimson. Going to the jungle early game is high risk, high reward, both worth it if you can manage to survive (you just need patience to survive the jungle really) but snow biome is definitely my second destination for sure
thorn chakram and snapthorn too
I’d say in higher difficulties it’s not feasible to rush Jungle without prep to a degree. I rush crimson, get the gun, rush jungle, take the boomstick, and it’s smooth sailing from there.
@Inmortuae2233 i wouldnt even think about rushing to the jungle in master mode lmao
As a summoner main, I really like the tavernkeeper seling the cracked armor and sentry, they help me so much throughout the game alone
yea that's the whole point of that npc/event in the first place
I like how the unbalanced armors from OOA actually balance the event because no one ever wants to do it
@@darkdragonpl92293 hours to become overpowered for mech instead of getting ready to fight plantera is maybe worth it depending on situation
Sad the accessories don't stack extra sentries
ive never heard of that, they sell armor sets like the knight or monk set though
Using a tavernkeeper armor while being mage or range is really good since you can put lots of turrets, use a summon, and a main weapon all at once
The t3 tavern armor is amazing for endgame, especially the melee one

Something cool I learned recently about graveyards: If the Dryad is in the biome, she sells seeds for the world evil not native to your world. You can use this to make a world with both world evils, and can allow you to completely regulate its growth since you can choose where to put it.
I’M NOT THE ONLY ONE!
I swear to god, spider caves spawn in the Ice biome so concerningly often it’s scary. It’s a fecking infestation.
As a summoner main, I appreciate the mention of Old One's Army armor. I am disappointed in myself that I haven't been using this.
"Forward facing Wild lmao isn't real, it can't hurt you"
Forward facing Wild lmao:
Ok for the gladiator armor part, I have a early game way to farm them and literally any other enemy drop in the game:
Find a gladiator statue, fairly rare, but I’ve been lucky with them using spelunker potions.
Whoever made this thumbnail art is cookin' 🔥
Here's a tip I think literally no one uses aside of me
The Staff of Regrowth gives you multiplied drops of herbs with a chance, which is useful for farming them in harder difficulties where you _need_ potions. It can give you up to 2 herbs and 5 seeds this way
But the best thing about it? You can harvest a herb that isn't blooming and still get full drops, both the herb with the same multiplier and the seeds, with the same multiplier as well. Though it does require you to plant your herbs on just blocks instead of planter boxes, it's very much worth it. Plus, it looks much nicer. So stop using planter boxes and pots if you have a Staff of Regrowth, plant your herbs on blocks, and harvest them earlier when they're not blooming yet. This makes it so:
- You don't need to wait for day for Dayblooms or night for Moonglows
- The Shiverthorns are harvestable much earlier (normally they just bloom after a long time they've matured, essentially just being additional grow time)
- You don't need to die of old age while waiting for it to rain to harvest Waterleaves
- You don't need to wait until the Blinkroots randomly bloom (because they literally randomly bloom)
- You don't need to wait for the short period of time that Fireblossoms bloom
- And best of all, you don't need to have a Full or Blood Moon to get seeds from your Deathweeds
Certified WildLmao classic
Great video with a bunch of useful tips, also love the occasional spelunky background music :))

I'm still going to fight wyverns the inefficient way I don't got time to get a star cannon.
The edit on his videos is insane
Finally, some new tips and tricks you haven't heard 10 times already with some comedy sprinkled in 😅
so you would rather Grind for hours to get gladiator armor than going straight for the gold armor using random splunker from pots , And you would rather fish for also Hours to get the turtle mount that no one even uses and lead skeletron with a minecart track , then why not just build the Minecart loop instead since it doesnt require Rng and just getting enough rails
Another problem is just how dangerous the dungeon is in early game. If the only boss you've beaten is Skeletron, you'll most likely be *severely* underprepared, and the video suggests that this strategy is for hardcore...
12:22: the dryad sells seeds for the evil biome not in your world letting you fight the biome's boss.
2:43 actual goated transition
Came here to comment that
Dungeon Defenders was one of my favorite games (hard to find people to play with these days). I love that Terraria has included a giant shout-out to DD
Here’s another bit on help with the snow biome, the snow can make snowballs (15 of them) meaning it’s really good if you just spawned in and needed a long range weapon
Imagine telling people to do OOA lmao
Also was funny seeing you mention selling cooked critters for money only for the next talking point to be about eating a food item for movement speed.
I knew most of these already, I just chose to ignore them
I have so many hours in Terraria and still some strategies suprised me nice video man!
Something I would like to add:
Fish in the desert (oasis) early game.
The rock lobsters and flounders give a really good food buff early on.
My mind unironically has been blown. The heart stacking strategy by killing a bunch of EoC before a harder boss is so smart
Oddly enough, I somehow naturally came across the critter cooking money method, since I wondered how much they gave alive, and how much they gave cooked.
Terrarian with that 400% markup
This is the first video I've watched from you and I have to say your editing is crazy good. makes me really engaged with the content while also giving useful information to boot. I've been playing terraria for like 10 years now and you still learn something new every day.
Suggesting people grind for hours to get gladiator armor instead of spending 20 minutes mining for iron armor is clinically insane
It really doesn't take that long when you have an actually good setup for dealing with hoplites where you can use normal melee weapons to kill them, especially since the javelins and gladius they drop are plenty strong enough for hoplites themselves. You're looking at a par of around 40 hoplite kills to get the full set. The bigger problem is just that you have to find a marble biome before you get gold or platinum armor anyways.
ew. you need a lot of iron for mechanical boss summons, its better to go for jungle armor after cactus armor
4:12 yeah its actually true.
A tip I use a ton, even if it isn't mechanically related:
Host a private, no one allowed multiplayer game for AFKing. My game freezes on focus loss, leading me to real quick tap out to change a video, only to tap back in. Multiplayer runs all the time, regardless of focus status.
I ain't sure about making a cooking pot out of lead, chief, lmao
i recently discovered your channel, and i have to say that is dope bro, keep the good work 👌
7:02 WTF ILY
4:00 an other bonus sneaky tip for early game, collect every pressureplate and trap and sell them. they sell for like a 10 silver its still good early early game money :)
You can actually reset heart statue drops by breaking them and re-placing them.

Here's another trick, you can rush to the evil biome and If you don't get bombs from pots you can use hoik mechanics to pass through blocks.
There is nothing simple about Terraria. From the second you make a new character and start a new world you are going to die if you don't know what you are doing.

You are legit so underrated. By far you have the best commentary/editing compared to the other terraria channels .
About spider biomes spawning more often in ice caves, I couldn't find anything that explicitly says that however, there may be a few reasons for this being the case.
1. Wall placement in the ice biome and the spider biome's spawn conditions overlap well
2. The ice caves generate large cavern-like structures which resemble large open areas that the spider biome needs to spawn
