Pre hardmode is my favorite part of the game too, but the very beginning of the game is just ... too slow in my opinion this mod, and my mineshaft one help the player actually get started, and obtain a few items and accessories without installing more intrusive qol mods
Me too, it doesn't help that the very fast evil growth and random chance for a demon altar to place a random piece of ebonstone in the world make it even more urgent
It would be indeed, though getting within that range is pretty dangerous as well (especially summoners, who get the least amount of armor of all classes.)

I defintely feel that the terrain generation for Terraria is allgood but definitely could be improved by something like this. it would be cool to see large mountains or even mountain ranges on the overworld will some sort of parameter that makes it difficult to climb or stay up at the top, though that may require a longer world
I'd love giving a try at adding atmospheric biomes in the future, such as pine forests (think minecraft forest with podzol), mountains, better oceans ... :)

Idea: The musroom ring can be combined with charm of the myths, the healing would go from 10 to 30 and each orb recharges 10 seconds of potion sickness
The crowba- er I mean the granite thingy might need some kind of cap on it's damage if you intend for it to stay an early game accessory, otherwise there might be some risky shenanigans going on in hardmode and beyond, with weapons like the sniper rifle or psycho knife.
Frankly, I don't think that's a bad thing! I'm all for creative builds, and 75% damage is less damage than shooting a second time with the sniper rifle for example I could add a cap to it, but ... it seems unnecessary, and just not fun

im not big fan of world generation changes, but accesories are so good and well balanced. As a RoR2 player i would love to see more items implemented as accesories. imagine 57 leaf clover that can be made from pink pearl and i dunno, pirate drops? it would be good but hard to obtain and out of progression tree like emblems or event drops.
This is actually pretty cool, only major criticism is that i dont like the gravity trap as a trap. Feels out of place compared to the others, still is an awesome block though that could be used to get to sky builds
This is something I was aware of when making it, but I didn't really have any other options if I wanted to create it I really like how it's effect turned out, and didn't want to let it on the side because it didn't look like a natural trap The best I could come up with was turning it into a "Gravity Globe" block

Tbh wider caves were needed it looks so cool it kind of reminds me of stickman vs plantera or any time you see a cave in the series it looks so wide and like an actual cave. And like the stuff generating everywhere as if people been there is also genius ofc others were there you can see the paintings scattered around who else would've made them.
I recommend caves that have icicles or stalagmites that might crack and fall down occasionally to hit the player they form somewhat quick. I also recommend a boss rework that doesn't effect them too much but where it's needed lol so it's still related to the fight mostly.

Very cool mod! I especially like that you made granite and marble biomes more useful by adding unique accessories. It's so disappointing that in vanilla Terraria they are only good for being excavated, beacuse of the nice furniture. Also, granite should be pink and white just like in real life (change my mind)

ive been playing this mod for the past week and i think i found a bug of some kind, everytime i walk over the gravity trap i always take fall damage while in the upside down state even if i have a lucky horseshoe
I think "fair" traps are a bad concept. Boulder traps wouldn't be iconic if they didn't 1-shot the player. Unfair traps are what make caving fun. They are the dev's troll weapon, and that makes them hilarious. You get amazing loot underground, it shouldn't be without any risk or work.
I see a lot more people complaining about traps being bullcrap than praising them in any way :/ There is a fine line between "funny" and frustrating, and I have to be careful, especially since I am adding new traps ON TOP OF the existing ones
Hey Verveine, I have a question, how doable is it to add livestock/crop farming in Terraria as a mod? Something similar Stardew Valley or for a better comparison Starbound.
Code wise, it's easy The hart part will be to overhaul terraria's food system in a meaningful manner, spritework for all the crops, and all modded compatibility will likely be thrown out the window unless handled on a case by case basis

It is a pre boss accessory on the same tier as a band of regeneration and cloud in a bottle you heal up to 60 health per minute with it, which is ABSURDLY high The low speed of the projectile is intended to balance it, and actually make it an early game accessory
I actually love how slow early game is and wish late game had the same level of gearing up as pre hardmode and early hardmode.

That's a cool idea, but adding extra healing on top of the sickness reduction sounds extremely strong ... probably too much

yes, disable them in the config before generating the world
this will also remove the traps from worldgen

ive been playing this mod for the past week and i think i found a bug of some kind, everytime i walk over the gravity trap i always take fall damage while in the upside down state even if i have a lucky horseshoe

does this mod work with secret seeds, such as dont dig up, no traps having tons of traps from the mod alongside vanilla traps etc?
It should work just fine, I never got any feedback about it not being the case :)
I think "fair" traps are a bad concept. Boulder traps wouldn't be iconic if they didn't 1-shot the player.
Unfair traps are what make caving fun. They are the dev's troll weapon, and that makes them hilarious.
You get amazing loot underground, it shouldn't be without any risk or work.
I see a lot more people complaining about traps being bullcrap than praising them in any way :/
There is a fine line between "funny" and frustrating, and I have to be careful, especially since I am adding new traps ON TOP OF the existing ones

Hey Verveine, I have a question, how doable is it to add livestock/crop farming in Terraria as a mod?
Something similar Stardew Valley or for a better comparison Starbound.
Code wise, it's easy
The hart part will be to overhaul terraria's food system in a meaningful manner, spritework for all the crops, and all modded compatibility will likely be thrown out the window unless handled on a case by case basis

That would be worth a try, but fishing isn't really entertaining to most players
if anything, it could be a part of a bigger mod
@@VerveineYT for Skyblocks o solo challenges is more than worth and i would love to have options in some biomes as the Corruption/Crimson that have a small amount of items etc,idk we can make it even more worth

so the mushroom ring kinda sucks cuz u have to stay still to get health can you fix it please?
It is a pre boss accessory on the same tier as a band of regeneration and cloud in a bottle
you heal up to 60 health per minute with it, which is ABSURDLY high
The low speed of the projectile is intended to balance it, and actually make it an early game accessory
