Very unique.
Its from the same library mod the confection rebirth uses, AltLibrary, It even allows you to pick the ores in your world.
I think it can work with advanced worldgen mod but so far, each one I've tried to generate has crashed due to not meeting calamity's standards (at least thats what I get from the error message)
Might have to try disabling calamity in a world and see if that works.
Seeing such a historical and beautiful mod still alive is just beautiful man. It make me rembember good old days and how I first met modded terraria with Baum's videos and wait for necro + other series videos in that time. Man in order to complete pillar men we also need another gigachad to awaken the necro mod and do 1.4 port.

I was 100 percent sure that the wall of steel was in concept hell. To see it in real time makes me smile (I used to look at mod ideas from this one terraria fandom and to see it in action is just wow)

Oh wow this is quite a surprise! I really love the new game mechanics it offers. The new biomes look really cool and seems fun to explore. I really like the nostalgia for mods back then. This mod seems pretty fun to play. I do have some criticism with the bosses tho, I think they could definitely have improvements with their attacks and AI. I understand the old school style of the bosses, so King Sting as an example is pretty good, but Bacterium is a clone of BoC so if it was just more different it would be great!
An easier clone if anything. Which I disliked but then again this was made in the 1.1-1.2 era of modding. I'm sure with time many things will be improved.

Oh wow, this is sick to see! I wasn’t around for when this mod was originally popular, but I’ve heard about it (mostly through references from other terraria mods), it’s always cool when something this old manages to stick around.
The bosses are very… 1.2, which makes sense, but given that the comments say that everyone’s getting a rework, I have high hopes for the final 1.4 release, because they all have interesting concepts, and everything else looks really solid as well!
This was also a really good showcase video, so props to you too!
unfortunate that the bosses are nearly clones of pre existing bosses, but i think the goal is to feel like an alternate version, so that's cool
Tbf, some of these bosses are actually older than their vanilla counterparts. King Sting was actually added before Queen Bee came into the base game.

Been loosely keeping track of this mod's progress for a while, so cool to see it finally starting to reach a fully playable state and I am super excited for bosses like Oblivion and Ultra Oblivion to be added back

I played this legendary mod not too long ago and it was a blast. Knowing such an impactful and overall important terraria mod is still being worked on is just absolutely fantastic.
i remember how excited I was to try this mod for the first time so many years ago, and to see it’s still alive and being worked on makes me happy. I will say after playing Calamity for so long, it’s clear this mod could use some updated sprites, new boss AI and some additional content, but aside from that this mod is amazing!
man, sometimes i forget just how much Avalon inspired and, in a way, set the standard for today's big content mods like Thorium and Calamity

It was really nostalgic back then also good things the mod is porting to 1.4.4 and my god the stream in discord i saw were abyssmaly good like the new ai of bacterium, the resprites of the enemies in the contagment biome, and the vertex of excalibur's rework to become the true melee weapon it was

@The Chicken Studio well if you like cross mods then I feel like it will not quite work out since the structures can overlay the other mods structures

No way this mod is still alive, that makes me so happy. When I first started playing this game, exxo avalon was my introduction to terraria mods. I hadn't tried modded yet but I saw the playthrough by baumproductions and thought the armageddon slime was actually the coolest shit of all time. To see that this mod is actually still being worked is a beautiful thing. I honestly thought it died out after 1.3 rolled around. Such a classic gem of a mod.

Unironically on par with calamity or thorium. Thorium is for a vanilla feel, while calamity is for a really modded feel, & Exxo Avalon is for a modded feel but still is very vanilla feeling
I remember once seeing a greenish evil biome, and I think I found it. I never played 1.4 tmod so far but with all the awesome things comming I´m happy to do so at one point

there are two things i would change and those are switch bacterium prime with desert beak (who got a rework) and switch armageddon slime with oblivion (who also got a rework)

And once more a king rises from their slumber! Mods like Exxo Avalon lit the way for newer power houses, but even now Exxo Avalon proves it can still be a juggernaut after all these years like some sort of ancient machine sealed away only to reawaken and show it's still capable of amazing feats. The Terraria modding community is a world of wonder sometimes!

First terraria mod I ever played
Split mod also has armor reforges
Avalon's Armor Reforges have this feature since 1.2 so that means it's first mod (so far) that provide armor reforges
HOLY SHIT THIS SOUNDTRACK SLAPS!!!!! 🔥🔥🔥
This mod definitely has amazing new mechanics but I hope the devs continue to develop this mod into bigger mods like split or in the tier of spirit mod is good enough. This mods lacks sprite work, boss AI, and just obviously a little more content, plus the hardmode after wall of steel needs new boss attacks instead of 2x HP and damage which is just so bland but the biome ideas are FRICKING AMAZING. I love the biome ideas but I'll rather want the contagion biome to be less of a giant hole that leads to the the underground like the corruption. The best thing from this mod is the stamina system but the true best is DASHING.
They seem to be crescent caverns, which is cool. You can see these gross organic funnels in the background which they should incorporate into the foreground: raise the openings above the ground, maybe add some vapours or liquids inside them that poison rather than buurn.

I really hope it gets ported to the latest version of t mod loader. It looks really fun!
You know one thing that holds modded back is the fact the game keeps getting updates if the next update is officially the final one then mods will finally be able to officially balance things and not have to worry about new systems or weapons messing with the balance

Both add new gems, and some are the same. The problem is there will be 2 onyx, one Pre-Hardmode, And the other Superhardmode
