I knew immediately why you would fight Deerclops first in this run: he doesn't despawn when you die. That fact is burned into my brain, because when my sister fought him for the first time, she died over two dozen times. Her spawn point was within 10 seconds' walking distance of the boss, too, so she couldn't get a break.

i really love this challenge runs, you always find a way to play terraria vastly differently than the normal way. You always bring something new to see and it will always amaze me. Keep up the good content.
ive always thought that all these accessories were pretty under utilized in the game, mostly bc most of them arent that good compared to others at the same point. and for a while now ive wanted to see a challenge run where they were used. limiting what you can do in the game doesnt tend to be too fun and not many of these challenges change how you play the game so i dont tend to do them so its nice to see them done by someone else

Which technically counts as this challenge, and some guy on RUclips managed to beat the game with traps only damage, I forgot his name but if you've watched his video, you know who. Which now deffinetly counts as part of this challenge.

I would really suggest changing the title of this video to "Can you Beat Terraria with only Damage-Dealing Accessories?", as the current title makes me think that you'll just use traps or npcs; which many of us have already seen. This is a really cool video idea, I'm glad you did it!
the Moon lord doesn't have a built in dps check, but instead the leech it launches from it's mouth heals with the debuff it inflicts on the player (moon bite), which can be avoided by either building a teleport setup, or running faster than the leech's traverse speed, or anything really, even the nurse can remove the debuff.
Gungnir is beating Terraria without doing any damage *IN EXPERT MODE* and I'm still stuck here struggling with destroyer, that is some true skill and knowledge.
Destroyer is all about avoiding the head and prioritizing AOE damage, since you want the piercing to hit all of his segments+ you want the AOE to hit the probes so they drop hearts. Ranger likes the classic Daedalus stormbow+holy arrows, Melee likes Excalibur, gungnir, nights edge, or flying knife, Summoner likes the blade staff, and Mage likes the meteor staff or crystal serpent.
On the moonlord, would it be possible to use the contact damage with the hands once the eyes pop to trigger some of your damaging accessories like the star cloak?

Ok I’m SO sorry that you were doing this alongside the hgss entei/raikou hunt. I successfully completed the Raikou one a few years back. I literally was able to soft reset for a specific tid I wanted in platinum before I got it
For getting back to spawn faster, use the sand bed trick. Break a block that forms the room for where you've placed your bed, and then a pillar of blocks above that, place a block of sand on the side of the pillar so it'll fall into place, completing the room, but recall before it lands, then do whatever you need to and recall back.
I mean yeah, you could. But considering he began with Deerclops, the NPCs would've died very quickly. Even the ones with the higher DPS like the arms dealer. And after the Deerclops, he could deal with bosses without the NPCs anyway.
Now you have to do the TRUE pacifist run. No weapons, no direct damage, no indirect damage, no summons, nothing. Even thorns isn't allowed. All you have is fallen stars and some good luck.
Its kind of insane to me how well this method of playing works? It feels like it was more intended than INTENDED weapon builds like throwing or bows or other things. The bosses even have a natural difficulty curve for it, and consistently provide you with new ways to up your power.
Hey you should watch SorbetCafe's accessories only run, it was similar to this and utilised more precise and efficient strategies. Good run either way! Keep it up

Yes but the contact damage is so high and the stars would likely miss the core anyway so it's not worth it
