I'm so glad that 1.4.4 made plantera significantly harder to despawn, because the fact she does even if she's so close to the screen that you can see her tentacles is downright infuriating.
Plantera and Queen Bee have quite a similar reason as of why they attack the player. However for some unknown reason Plantera cares far less than Queen Bee. I'm pretty sure if you're too far away from the bulb when it gets destroyed Plantera won't even spawn.
Reminds me of the bug where the scraggler would despawn when you left and rejoined the game. That got so annoying having to wait like 5 minutes for him to come back so I could buy more ammo for my scragblaster

The wall of flesh fight was really cool, the one on the far right side of the map is more like a timer while you need to defeat the 2 closer ones before it reaches you.
yea and u cant cheese it by just killing the single one on the left to make the other 2 go the same direction coz u will get sandwiched like that, so u hav to kill them both before the far one catches up. i love that
My guess on why Plantera kept despawning is probably not distance related, I imagine theres some sort of Entity limit that was hit and to fix it it "clears" the earliest spawned entities, being the three Planteras

And my reason, aside from the patch, that I think so is that when enemies or projectiles reach the game's spawn cap, it usually prohibits more from spawning, which is how a lot of exploits are carried out with entirely removing the projectile spawns of bosses or stopping enemies like the Dungeon Guardian from spawning
No when the entity limit is reached it doesn't despawn the earliest entities spawned it just doesn't let any more entities spawn in hence why the duck statue glitch worked so well in 1.3. So in this situation it wouldn't despawn the plantera it just won't let more tentacles spawn.

The Box of Flesh war a far better fight. Being trapped between two WoFs made it so you have to carefully manipulate their speeds meanwhile the third one acted as a timer. This is FAR better
Sadly, it did expand too much if you damaged the right one - I think it'd be cool if the left one's speed was determined by the right one + some calculation based on the difference between their health, such that if you damaged the right one too much the left would speed up a LOT so the room closes in

Well, If you summon multiple with the hero's mod. For the most part, the game gets confused and only shows 1bar at a time (unless it's the twins or moon lord).
i think the life drain would’ve been a really good weapon to use thanks to its infinite pierce and sustainability scaling with the amount of enemies hit
That's actually a really cool idea for the Wall...Make it so you have a wall on either side of you, sharing a HP bar, and instead of speeding up they close in on you from either side as they lose HP, and you could have a pretty interesting variation on the boss fight Also, idk if it exists in tModLoader offhand but the Grey Zapinator would *wreck* this Wall fight lmao. edit: holy shit Plantera though

Just from the premise duke fishron sounds like hell. 3 fishrons each throwing 6 tornado spawners each spawning 3 tornadoes each tripling the number of sharkrons. That's 164x the number of sharkrons
The Sharknado/Cthulunado spawners are projectiles, not NPCs So that would only be 3 Sharknadoes or 6 Cthulunadoes, or 54 times the number of Sharkrons. Even if the spawners were NPCs, though, it would actually be 162 times more, not 164.

@@connortg5 yep, it is just destroyable projectiles. its because those kinds of projectiles (chaos spheres, water spheres, fireballs, etc) are handled as NPCs, meaning that they would be tripled like any other enemy. meanwhile the tornado spawners are handled just like weapon projectiles, meaning they (and most projectiles) are unaffected by the mod.
The reason the chest in the dungeon spawned the shield and key is bc you found a wooden chest, which reset the muramasa to a random other chest, because the first chest was a wood chest with a gold key in it.
I think Plantera despawned because you hit the mob cap. Every time a tentacle died, it spawned 3 of them. Plantera herself was the oldest spawned mob, and the tentacle only exists when she does.
that doubled wall of flesh fight honestly seemed really cool!! make both of them share a health bar and balance out the health amount (and lower the hungry amounts LMAO) and i think you have a really fun boss on your hands! pretty much removes being able to cheese it by running super far away since there's, y'know, another wall

I would have loved to see the Old One's Army event tbh. I imagine it being one of the hardest things because of the crowd control required. Once three Betsy spawn, it might become impossible before the crystal breaks tho.

Tip: Deerclops has an attack cycle. It is always forward>forward>around in a loop. As it also has no contact damage, and never do the big ice fling if you are below or on the same (y) level as them, you can just run around it and avoid only the shadow hands, running through it twice and away from it once. Makes the fight so, so much easier, and isnt all that difficult or complex to set up.

I gotta say, the technicalities really added a lot to this challenge. Just having 3x enemy spawns would have been enough. The wall of flesh thing with the box was honestly so cool. And a modified version of that where they have one healthbar and always travel the same speed as each other so they stay close or something would've been the perfect way to make the legendary mode fight actually interesting
If the first chest in the dungeon is a normal chest (a wooden one) then that would’ve been the Muramasa chest. However, as the chest you opened contained a shield, it must’ve been the second or third chest in total in the dungeon. While it was probably the first gold chest, any chest counts towards the total.
The reason the first locked gold chest was a cobalt shield, was because the first chest in the dungeon was above a certain layer, making it a wooden chest instead
I realized very early on that it is likely that the Wall of Flesh will spawn in 4 times. Each time the Guide dies the Wall of Flesh spawns in twice due to the mod, but also because of the mod there will be 2 Guides. That's gonna be interesting, and if I'm right I'm gonna be so proud of myself.

If you’re fighting the destroyer of worlds, I really recommend having a vile thorn because you can use it and as tunneling it’ll just hit every single section that comes across you as long as your vile thorn is out
One time I was in expert mode, and every time I tried to kill EOC I failed. One night, I get the spawn notification, but it wasnt spawning. So, I used my crafted summon. About 5 seconds later, the natural one spawned. And, somehow, I STILL won. The fact that you could defeat the sextuplet triangle was even cooler though.

That Wall of Flesh fight was the scariest fucking thing I've ever seen in Terraria. It truly lived up to the feeling of dread that's supposed to accompany that boss.

bruh alien queens are easy, in general the vortex pillar is strangely easy compared to the other ones lol (I've played all 4 classes on Master Mode so I believe I can have that opinion)

Tip:
Deerclops has an attack cycle. It is always forward>forward>around in a loop.
As it also has no contact damage, and never do the big ice fling if you are below or on the same (y) level as them, you can just run around it and avoid only the shadow hands, running through it twice and away from it once. Makes the fight so, so much easier, and isnt all that difficult or complex to set up.

I gotta say, the technicalities really added a lot to this challenge. Just having 3x enemy spawns would have been enough. But finding out that destructible projectiles also count as enemies, so they're also tripled, AND they spawn from both sides? That's just nightmarish. I respect the courage it must have taken to undergo this challenge. Well played!

The wall of flesh thing with the box was honestly so cool. And a modified version of that where they have one healthbar and always travel the same speed as each other so they stay close or something would've been the perfect way to make the legendary mode fight actually interesting
just to say, the fourth mec fight was 9 total bosses at once, including 6 twin heads, 12 skeletron hands and a whoping 246 destroyer segments
If the first chest in the dungeon is a normal chest (a wooden one) then that would’ve been the Muramasa chest. However, as the chest you opened contained a shield, it must’ve been the second or third chest in total in the dungeon. While it was probably the first gold chest, any chest counts towards the total.
The reason the first locked gold chest was a cobalt shield, was because the first chest in the dungeon was above a certain layer, making it a wooden chest instead

I realized very early on that it is likely that the Wall of Flesh will spawn in 4 times. Each time the Guide dies the Wall of Flesh spawns in twice due to the mod, but also because of the mod there will be 2 Guides. That's gonna be interesting, and if I'm right I'm gonna be so proud of myself.

Dude the golem fight with like 20 heads flying around had me cracking up
something i just realised: im pretty sure droppable hearts count as npcs, meaning those probes in the destrroyer fight were dropping 3x as many hearts
One time I was in expert mode, and every time I tried to kill EOC I failed. One night, I get the spawn notification, but it wasnt spawning. So, I used my crafted summon. About 5 seconds later, the natural one spawned. And, somehow, I STILL won. The fact that you could defeat the sextuplet triangle was even cooler though.
