- Today we're trying to beat Terraria with only Crimson Loot, or more specifically, only loot that is found in the crimson biome. Hope you enjoy!
Currently away from my normal setup so sorry the mic quality isn't what you're all used to. And of course, apologies for the lack of videos lately. I've been busy but doing well, I hope to get some more videos out for you guys soon :)

That biome is a massive pile of fleshy hive mind. How fuck up would it be if your front lawn was made out of flesh. The trees on the sidewalk have eyes in it, honestly worse than hell which is only hot.
Remember that the Crimson strip created at the start of Hardmode can infect floating islands. Meaning you could've been lucky and had access to Souls of Flight and harpy feathers.

So when I was first being introduced to terraria, I was given full Crimson armor, and I thought that I was overpowered. I even had a stupid catchphrase "I'm crimsoned." (I was like 7). This reminded me of that memory and I love it.
You were kinda right, because Crimson armor has the strongest Regen in the game.

NPCs can live in the crimson if you have enough sunflowers, so wait a bit for it to spread to spawn (you can remove blockage) and then take the littany of sunflowers that usually spawn there and build housing near the edge of the biome for the dryad, who can sell you more flowers, enabling you to have housing literally wherever in the crimson
Or, more convenient: house NPCs 40 to 50 blocks above the crimson. Most locations at this height should still count as biome, but for housing, it's not crimson at all, so it's fair game.

Crimson as a biome is different from crimson as a world generation phenomenon. Spamming sunflowers removes the biome entirely, this is just putting houses in the upper edge of the biome a bit above the normal generation.
@kellamyoshikage286 false, they still say they are in the crimson if you house them using sunflowers and the music and background is still the crimson, even the enemies spawn

What you're describing is that you can use sunflowers such that they make NPCs count their local housing area as pure, but the biome check still registers crimson because it's bigger. Which isn't exactly possible without already getting Dryad. I was describing going up to the edge of the crimson biome, such that the house doesn't see crimson because it's too far away, but your biome check still does. Both of these operate on the same phenomenon of the two checks having different ranges.
...Oh, you mean to complain about my phrasing "removes the biome entirely". They certainly can when you place a bit more. Placing houses some distance above the ground is just easier, though.
Betsy's wing are so underrated. Although it is inferior to Fishron's and EoL's hovering mechanic was a game changer when I learned to use it. Hover's boosted horizontal speed and flight time comes in clutch for my playstyle of flying in circles like a headless chicken

@Meowlegend7 yea, but fishrons can be pre mech if you try, while eol is post plantera and betsy is post golem
so for the point in progression you can get them at, fishron bodies
@Borispocalypse if you get it pre-mech, its the best you have until Post Plantera. Then I'd switch over to Empress wings.

the rule is you can't get items if they're not from the crimson, not that you can't build outside the crimson. you could've built npc houses outside the crimson, had them move in, waited for the crimson to spread over their house and then gotten their items that way! regardless super fun video

Awesome video Gungnir, i started watching from the Gungnir and Bot videos, you are pretty perseverant and the effort you put in your videos its pretty awesome, honestly i prefer crimson over corruption (i dont like the color pallete nor some of the loot, but its great when you are a mage) Could you try to do a Old One's Army equipment/armor/weapons run?

@beastkasim3054actually yeah, the game uses a point system for crimsand/crimstone/to crimson grass adds -1 point to housing validity, and I think at around -400 the housing goes from least possible happiness to invalid.
Sunflowers add +50 or something so if you spam them it negates the effects
I think he means without exploits because I don't think spamming sunflowers to get NPCs to move into corrupted areas is not intentional. Either way, getting the sunflowers while staying in the biome is a whole other issue

Jungle. That would be challenging and very doable. Also hallow but that means starting the world in hardmode
You could build houses out side of the crimson and then use a statue to teleport the into the crimson.
if you need bait with a small supply, making a small pond to fish for trash lopt, the outting it in the extractinator is decently reliable
Gonna be real, Crimson only is probably the best solo biome option in my mind. Crimson just becomes SO good in Hardmode with access to ichor, Prehardmode Crimson Armor is good for the extra healing, Panic Necklace is decent, Crimson Rod is nice additional damage (especially for farming) and allowing for dungeon chests means Vampire Knives which can solo pretty much anything if you use them right. And that's not even mentioning how easy Brain is to farm for money once you've got a decent enough setup.
I feel like a more straightforward challenge would be "you are only allowed armor/accessories/weapons that are 'associated' with the crimson", associated means requires a crafting ingridient that can only be found in the crimson, or can be obtained from native crimson loot (so no stuff from other biomes that just happened to be in the crimson, or old one's army farmed in the crimson, etc.).
On the other hand you're allowed to use NPCs, buff potions, tools, heart crystals, summon items, etc. from outside the crimson.
So at the start of hardmode you can to get a mithril anvil, fight wyverns and craft the devil wings, since they require souls of night. All ichor weapons are fair game.
It would probably be harder but less tedious
