Little trick for fishing quests, if you drop the quest fish, you can catch more of them. Meaning you can get a ton of all the quest fish and never have to go seek them out again
When playing multiplayer, me and my friend figured this trick out. We'd send one of us to fish for the quest, drop it, and then fish for each other's quest item so we could double our daily turn-ins for fishing quests without both of us manually fishing for the quests. Or if we did both fish for the quest, if one of us got 2 before the other found theirs we could end the fishing faster.
I always did three at a time. One in the trash slot and one picked up in your inventory and you can pick up the third. Usually that's about the right number anyway. Easy to get in one day and you can work out of two or even one chest for it all.
I appreciate your commitment to the bit. Throwing away pickaxe/axe, refusing to use naturally spawning furnaces, spending a bunch of in-game days just collecting bugs.
@Collisto2435 dude it's literally almost or not possible to beat some of the bosses without the fishron gear. How is he supposed to kill destroyer with the limited available weapons from directly fishing? Also, boss spawn items are hardly against the spirit of the challenge, which is to limit one's equipment to what can be obtained by fishing.
Great video! Fun miserable fact, you can avoid using the pwn hammer to spawn the mech bosses by covering your world in chests except for a small region around an exposed alter and force a meteorite to land on the alter destroying it. Sounds fine until you remember the only way to get the chests is to craft them... using bamboo. Keep up the great content!
its not as bad as it may seem, as chest cover a decent area, and meteors cant spawn in the middle of the world. it works out to around 12 chests needed if done optimally on a small world (assuming my maths is correct). each chest can also be replaced with an npc if you want to reduce it further, and you don't need to cover the dungeon
Using orichalcum armor is relevant to the themes of this playthrough because orichalcum was the metal used for the currency of Atlantis in Plato's writings.
Good support class, though. Been playing on a friend's server recently, decided to go pure fishing. We get a lot of smack talk, but when there's no more Horseshoes and Sandstorm in a Bottles in the world, you don't hear that as much.
This was so impressive, I usually watch challenges like this for Minecraft where all that matters is patience and game knowledge, but you are CRACKED at these boss fights! Great video!
Something I've always found really interesting with Terraria challenge runs, specifically the ones about how far you can go with a weak weapon, is if/when the runner hits a wall with one of the timed bosses. I've seen situations where it was mathematically impossible for them to deal enough damage to the boss to kill it before sunrise, even under the best possible conditions. It's a unique tripping point compared to that kind of challenge in other games, where it can often come down to 'it *is* possible, it's just incredibly tedious and annoying', unless it's a matter of 'there physically isn't enough ammo in this level to achieve this'
@miojo157._. I doubt that it's AI. He makes occasional mistakes that an AI wouldn't, such as the stutter on "goblin" at 18:39 and pronouncing "bottle" as "bokkle" at 2:02. If he sounds robotic, it's probably because he's new to content creation and not familiar with reading off a script.
@TheFiercestCreatureInTheWorld I mean, that could very well be because they typo'd the text input. The mispeakings are often too confident, a telltale sign of ai.
Just finished the video and saw this comment and went back up to check, this dude only has 200 subs and this video only has 2k views rn my goodness, hopefully this video blows up 🙏
For prehardmode blood moon fishing, you can build a box with a floor of platforms at the surface of the water and cast your lure inside a 1-block hole in the side. The box will contain any enemies that you fish up. Build a connected box around yourself to stop zombies and other annoyances. If you have a minion that makes this faster, and if you don't then you can use vampire frogs once you get them. To be as efficient as possible, don't kill the enemies you fish up. Instead, keep fishing up more of them. As long as they're trapped in the box, they won't immediately leave in the morning, so you can fish up a ton of them and then kill them once the blood moon ends. This method is much faster and safer than allowing blood moon enemies to move around and fight back, since their high speed and health can make them slow to kill. This doesn't work in hardmode since some enemies can ignore the box, but for prehardmode it's extremely useful and easy to build. You can also upgrade this setup by using hoiks, if you're familiar with those.
This challenge was never attempted before simply because so many hate fishing in terraria (I think it’s not that bad) however, keep up the good work, I was pretty invested in this video overall and I’m claiming my small channel bragging rights later on, “I was here before it was cool”
seasoned fisherman here , with utmost respect i would like to tell you, brother you are fucking cracked and insane finding your channel was a good catch indeed o7
The quality is amazing, your editing style is on point, commentary is entertaining but not overexadurated to put it short MAN I LOOOVE this vid so much, wish You all the best and cant wait for more ^^
That's how I feel about legendary mode. It's not particularly "hard" just tedious since everything even slimes are so tanky it takes 10x the time to kill.
This is great, like actually. It reminds me of a challenge run I had a couple months ago. A friend and I played a shimmerblock challenge together and we only started with 8 or so ice bricks and a puddle of shimmer. We had to fish for maybe 30 hours of our 46 hour run and this is just pretty fun to watch seeing someone else grind (for a fun little challenge) after our grueling playthrough
Ya know, I have absolutely zero clue about anything to do with this game. But I really enjoy watching you play, ans your voice is quite soothing as well. Maybe one day I'll get the game myself because of you.
This was a great challenge! I'm really impressed by how committed you were to avoiding as many loopholes as possible. And your commentary was very nice
this video was great! some criticism I want to give is to brighten the screen when u fight at night, it’s hard to see the dreadnautalis fight among others. anyways, keep it up :)
I spent the first 15 minutes of hardmode, wondering why you weren't using my favorite weapon in the game, the Crystal Serpent, obtainable by fishing in the Hallow, only to realize that there is no way to obtain fallen stars to create mana crystals, rendering the weapon essentially useless. Fantastic video and a great watch!
@shrimpdan2557 I believe that the shimmer is being treated as a naturally generated feature, just like naturally generated crafting stations, and would therefore be disallowed.
A very fun mod is the Unusacies' Battle Rods, which has its own fishing rods that'll hook into enemies and has an entire class dedicated to it (with armors and accesories). I liked the mod a lot, and did a full playthrough with the mod a while back. Very enjoyable run. Might be a fun idea for a follow-up!
The content was great. I'd just like to mention though, the music in the background sounded really weird. It reminded me of a hotel video, not a terraria gameplau video. Just a comment for the future. Still going to sub
Very well play through, stay true to the title. I often got disappointed with "can you beat... with only..." then 3 seconds in they start using tools, crafting armor. Keep it up. Edit : by the time im done watching this video his sub went from 900 to over 1k. That's a really good sight.
I mean since the shimmer exists you have a lot of flexibility, you can get a lot of potion ingredients including glass and sand, but you still can’t get any wood
@Mobo___ he goes through the trouble to not even get simple items through other means than fishing. Shimmer that would skip most of these grinds is obviously not allowed in his rule set. The items gained from shimmering wouldn’t be obtained by fishing, which would defeat the purpose of his run.
Great video. I’m just “finishing up” my playthrough on master, only 333hp too. I just beat Duke Fishron pre-mech so the playthrough is pretty much over. I’ve collected all of the fishing rods, quest fish, every possible item obtainable from fishing quests, (with the exception of bottomless honey bucket and shimmer bucket), and every single weapon/accessory and crate available. I am now working on collecting all of the fish in the game. Terrasvr says I’ve done 120+ quests. 36 hours
Fishing only: Master Mode edition will be coming soon!
May Moon Lord have mercy on your soul...
Yippe
on journey mode you can use the time control to skip days and reset angler quests, its faster than generating new worlds every time
you mad man 😢
Fishing only GETFIXEDBOI
"I crafted a toilet for the extra fishing power"
The most terraria thing I heard today
Dude i just heard that shit and had to rewind, i hope hes fr. Im doing it rn
@Max-gz8qe I had to check the wiki after that, and yep, it's true
@Max-gz8qe heh funny you get it shit and toilet. nah nevermind il js go
the funny thing is thw fact that it literally works
mmmmmmmm
jmh mmm uuumm

You are actually insane, amazing gameplay and amazing video! Keep up the great work! Can't wait to see more!
when will you play calamity plantera seed master mode, ass twist skeletron hands nasty party girl dryad mode?
Heard your ad on your stream today
WaffleTime when's the challenge run where you beat up all the people who tell you to play harder challenge runs?
Holy shyte it’s waffle
now its your turn
His Fishron fight was basically a fight against a dungeon guardian.
real
but with dodging attack💀
Yeah..
Using the endless water bucket to create obsidian paths in the underworld was actually the biggest brain move I've seen in terraria in a while
Yeah, even with my thousands of hours of playtime, I've never even *considered* that as a possibility.
How to use purification powders to mine curse orbs/hearts from your world instead of bombs

Think I saw a video that mentioned that way before console got to 1.3 (Moonlord Update). That was also before they removed the multi cast exploit
yeah I often set up a chest next to fishing points to allow for that.
Urrrradarratrrtryryrrryüryryrrt😅
I appreciate your commitment to the bit. Throwing away pickaxe/axe, refusing to use naturally spawning furnaces, spending a bunch of in-game days just collecting bugs.
And when I was theorizing how this was possible, I was *sure* he was gonna use the shimmer
And then he caught a Truffle Worm and ruined it all.
@Collisto2435 Truffle worm is bait, he is allowed to catch bait
but he did grab the jungle key so
Great video!

Sounds fine until you remember the only way to get the chests is to craft them... using bamboo.
Keep up the great content!
Or I'm fairly certain he could have avoided them and Plantera entirely by just hoiking into the temple
sisyphus ahh strat
@talwarsrightnut you have to kill plantera for golem to be spawnable though
its not as bad as it may seem, as chest cover a decent area, and meteors cant spawn in the middle of the world. it works out to around 12 chests needed if done optimally on a small world (assuming my maths is correct). each chest can also be replaced with an npc if you want to reduce it further, and you don't need to cover the dungeon
He needed to fight the mech bosses, though. He also didn't need the pwnhammer since he got a better hammer from fishing
Using orichalcum armor is relevant to the themes of this playthrough because orichalcum was the metal used for the currency of Atlantis in Plato's writings.
New terraria class: The Fishing Class. Known as, arguably, the hardest vanilla class.
Good support class, though. Been playing on a friend's server recently, decided to go pure fishing. We get a lot of smack talk, but when there's no more Horseshoes and Sandstorm in a Bottles in the world, you don't hear that as much.
ID say classesless damage only is the hardest but this Ia nothing to sneeze at.
i did this challenge in modded (calamity and thorium) and it was extremely fun
Loved the staff of regrowth multiplication explanation pop up, I think this guys an overthinking king, loved this video, really interesting challenge.
lmao me too, i was looking if someone had mentioned it already
Me three, I bet a few "well akshually" types were ready to go, only to be deflated. Good stuff.
This was so impressive, I usually watch challenges like this for Minecraft where all that matters is patience and game knowledge, but you are CRACKED at these boss fights! Great video!

I like how the video isn't as energetic as other youtubers. Just calm gameplay. Was very fun to watch and i look forward for the master mode run :)
Yeah, I fell asleep to this last night and watched it again this morning. My type of channel and content.
kinda sounds like ai ngl
@licious6033 it is an ai voice
i did feel a bit bothered watching it with how easily i recognized it was an ai
@miojo157._. I doubt that it's AI. He makes occasional mistakes that an AI wouldn't, such as the stutter on "goblin" at 18:39 and pronouncing "bottle" as "bokkle" at 2:02. If he sounds robotic, it's probably because he's new to content creation and not familiar with reading off a script.

A lot of smaller Terraria Ytubers have been popping up lately and I'm all for it. really good quality and pacing i liked the vid!
I was watching and once the video was over, I realized that even with all this quality, you’re a pretty unknown youtuber. Continue, you’ll grow
Just finished the video and saw this comment and went back up to check, this dude only has 200 subs and this video only has 2k views rn my goodness, hopefully this video blows up 🙏
He only has 3 videos tho so if he keeps it up he should grow pretty quick
i mean you could tell immediately by the blue yeti, but yeah good video
@Twelvebeans 4 hours later bro grew 400 subs and 8k views, this dude has a bright future, good luck frostburn! i'm now a fan
We're at 850 and 18k now @Twelvebeans
Subscribed out of respect for the math clarification at 6:51
Same lol
Stats undergrad here. Same.
Same here
Oh my god I was going to say the exact same thing and then I saw this under "timed" comments
same here bro
Other challenges are more technically challenging, but man, this must have been so mentally taxing. It's a phenomenal video. Keep up the work!
a merchant in the jungle will sell a furnace
Deadass?
Yeah but he didn’t use any of the npcs except old man for skeletron and angler for quests

Most peak terraria gameplay ever. Would love to do this challenge with my friends who hate fishing and one of them has ADHD.
I think the devil is your fan
I have ADHD. You scare me.
the music is perfect. One of the most relaxing terraria videos ive seen yet. Very nicely done
Bro is max prestige in patience

This challenge was never attempted before simply because so many hate fishing in terraria (I think it’s not that bad) however, keep up the good work, I was pretty invested in this video overall and I’m claiming my small channel bragging rights later on, “I was here before it was cool”
It's at least not as boring as it is in Minecraft. I started playing Minecraft recently and fishing is so so boring there
@spring_moniyeah but at least there are afk farms for it
But it was done before?
@TulipVoidthis is done to the extreme tho, the actual fishing class. Most challenges you seen allow items outside so it’s a lot easier.
Great idea for a challenge! I also like your style of narration, funny but still straight to the point.
Terraria fisher class
Be like
seasoned fisherman here , with utmost respect i would like to tell you, brother you are fucking cracked and insane finding your channel was a good catch indeed o7
So we are replicating Mud Flaps on the thumbnails now 🥀
on the third duke fight i thought about the cobalt shield
but then i remembered you are not allowed to use anything that you didnt get from fishing
This challenge has me *hooked* the entire way through
No. You need to kill moonlord to beat terraria, and that isn't fishing.
Insanity. Great video!
huge props to you for spending so much time, recording the fishing and editing this all. i really enjoyed this video dude, keep it up
The quality is amazing, your editing style is on point, commentary is entertaining but not overexadurated to put it short MAN I LOOOVE this vid so much, wish You all the best and cant wait for more ^^
WTF, this sounds like a completely different person compared to newer videos.
It's AI voice.... made me question my life
because its an ai voice
Thank you for not screaming every minute
It was such nicely edited and narrated video! I can't wait to see more
Such a great video, my friend :3 So good to see a terraria video in my feed
you’re getting recommended like crazy, this’ll blow up like crazy soon. keep it up man!!
you had some musical bangers in this vid
The real question isn't "can you beat it?" - it's "how long would it take to beat it?"
That's how I feel about legendary mode. It's not particularly "hard" just tedious since everything even slimes are so tanky it takes 10x the time to kill.
The added background music is diabolical
This is great, like actually. It reminds me of a challenge run I had a couple months ago. We had to fish for maybe 30 hours of our 46 hour run and this is just pretty fun to watch seeing someone else grind (for a fun little challenge) after our grueling playthrough
RNG agony, the run.
i tried to use this as background noise due to your calming voice, but i got too invested in the content. great vid, looking forward to more
Incredible Video! Great editing! Great Music! Enjoyable Commentator!!! Good job man
Ya know, I have absolutely zero clue about anything to do with this game. But I really enjoy watching you play, ans your voice is quite soothing as well.
Maybe one day I'll get the game myself because of you.
The wonders finding the shimmer would have done for him early game
cant believe you only have 250 subs. definitely subbing.
Man got TWO unreal broomsticks from all that Jungle Crate farming lmao
Honestly hardy sadle is probably better than superheated blood for his fights underwater, since the shark has limited vertical movement
This was a great challenge! I'm really impressed by how committed you were to avoiding as many loopholes as possible. And your commentary was very nice
You could of gotten upgraded potions by fishing in honey
could have
Should have
would have
Cold half
Though have
Was a great way of getting a better understanding of fishing, thanks
this video was great! some criticism I want to give is to brighten the screen when u fight at night, it’s hard to see the dreadnautalis fight among others. anyways, keep it up :)
You earned yourself a sub, great video ^^
Hey, loved the video, good job, just one tip: I recently learned you can fish a bewitching table in the dungeon so you could have had a second minion
Fishron before Mech bosses is absolutely gigachad. Liked and subbed
Wow, what a commitment! Love your commentary.
You deserve far more recognition man. The editing is great, and the video felt like a video made by a big-name youtuber. You got my sub!
Damn that was impressive to watch.
Awesome video!
Great video! I felt a bit of rage when you didn't use the Chum Caster for the HM Bloodmoon
This video is crazy men , you have my respect for this
cant you shimmer a terraria sundial into a moon dial to also lets you skip a night?
You can, I'm not sure if he disallowed shimmer or just forgot lol
@shrimpdan2557
I believe that the shimmer is being treated as a naturally generated feature, just like naturally generated crafting stations, and would therefore be disallowed.
I just realized I finished the video. Very engaging journey
Palladium armor might actually be the best armor set available in this run thanks to the health regen it provides, highly underrated armor imo!
That was epic, very cool run. I had no idea so many strats could be employed to make something like this possible. Super creative!
I'm surprised that you entirely skipped over fin wings. Surely those would have been helpful for Dreadnautilus?
Flash back to that one crabbar skyblock video where he also miserably fished for life crystal
under 1k subs??? Dude please keep it up this is quality content for a small and growing channel. Good job man!!!
Quality video, keep up the good work
whys the voice ai just puts this vid off
It's absolutely surreal, did he think this sounded like him?
Amazing video man honestly
the steam achievement at 9:04 says something
When he said first quest he really meant it ig
He definitely got forced to do this at gunpoint since he does not like fishing.
@microwavemicofficialpeople who do not have fishing Just got used to the pain and suffering of putting you stick in the water so fishes can bite it
it says that this one does not even do fishing in terraria
I love how chill his videos are. first person I found I can listen to in the background. love the vids and keep up the good work.
Great video, keep up the good work
Awesome video, but you kinda sound like if that one ai voice was an actual human, I’m not sure why
I got the scarab rod.
Me: Wat da flip.
Good video, but the AI voice sounds so ass.
literally yes
You’re absolutely insane, love it
9:42 are we just gonna ignore the coolest looking lake with the big tree??
Yes
great video and great music choice
The content was great. I'd just like to mention though, the music in the background sounded really weird. It reminded me of a hotel video, not a terraria gameplau video. Just a comment for the future. Still going to sub
Great video! Kept entertained the whole way. Subscribed after watching this and then last video.
Very well play through, stay true to the title. I often got disappointed with "can you beat... with only..." then 3 seconds in they start using tools, crafting armor. Keep it up.
Edit : by the time im done watching this video his sub went from 900 to over 1k. That's a really good sight.

@june9914those wouldn’t be obtained by fishing though
@PinkJelly-zb5ggi woulnd say shimmering fished items is bending the rules
@Mobo___ he goes through the trouble to not even get simple items through other means than fishing. Shimmer that would skip most of these grinds is obviously not allowed in his rule set. The items gained from shimmering wouldn’t be obtained by fishing, which would defeat the purpose of his run.
a chill terraria playthrough?! i thought it impossible!
29:51 why couldn’t you do the fights in the water?
Real quality content! Thanks for the upload, really enjoyed this video!!
36 hours
Next patch: jungle key fishing added after plantera beaten
💋💋💋 the next wild lmao 💋💋💋👩❤️💋👨
YO WILD LOVE YOU MAN
@Zachalogian1-ks1hi i love u
@wildlmao 🙏 your content always makes my day
@Zachalogian1-ks1hi 🤧 I appreciate it, My vid comes out tomorrow and I think its juicer and funnier than most 🥺🤧 thanks
bro you are so goated when is the next terraria video the last 2 videos have been really interesting
True OG movements
it is possible to get a furnace if you shimmer your ores into stone.
actually I'm not sure if you can even get gel...
It is a way to get arrows
could you not shimmer lesser healing potions?
@infarededge4393 those involve gel in no way
@Piflle lesser healing potions require gel and mushrooms to make no?
@infarededge4393 Yeah, they do
Excellent video and great job
Do you use ai tts or something to voice the videos, the voice sound so robotic. Just outta curiosity no offense.
He does sound ai
I was distraught when i thought the video was going to end at "no. I can't."
I'm so not used to normal terraria i was confused by the lack of treasure bags lol
He is basically the Angler
