Can't even be mad about the moon lord cheese, the mental fortitude needed to keep fighting him for nearly 2.5 hours is far more impressive than the skill of beating him without it
I think minions could have cut the moon lord fight time down significantly. Wand of Sparking's 1 projectile playthrough proved that minions completely override projectile spots just like beach balls, so you could summon like 995 balls and a few fire imps for constant, >100 dps in addition to volcano.
Minions are always a great passive to have running even if you aren't going summoner. The free one(or two with enchanting table) summons can easily add a small dose of automates damge perfect for any player.
@@Katefisch indeed, and with a summoning potion you even get three! plus one (two with war table) free sentry, it won't follow you around, but whereever you place it, it'll try it's best no reason not to lol

It can actually kill moonlord in 4 hits if all 4 somehow go dream luck. Since gray zapinator only has 40 damage, and moonlord has 270k hp in the video. Each Gray zapinator beam would need to get 10× damage 5 times in a row, about 1 in 300mil odd, for 4 individual shots.
Even if conveyors were banned, one could make a world-spanning HOIK setup for the stars. It's a bit more awkward now than it used to be because stars don't automatically get caught when landing on the HOIK teeth anymore, but this is easily fixed with actuators and a timer (or one can use a more intelligent clock which alternates between a short and a long delay). Conveyers are certainly much nicer to span the world with than sloped blocks, though, so I agree with their use.
@@destructicon844 That's only true of stars which spawn near the end of a night. Any others have time to make it to spawn. That concern matters more with conveyor belts, where it takes several minutes for items to get from the edge of even a small world to its center (in fact, it takes almost exactly 7 minutes for that world size). Both of those items require prehardmode bosses to be beaten which is why they should be good and to help the player handle the wall of flesh and hardmode monsters up to mechanical bosses. The star cannon requires the evil biome boss to be fully defeated to gain access to meteor landing. The evil biome boss need to be partially defeated to enable making things like upgraded pickaxe and the evil biome sword only requires at minimum the eye of cthulhu to be defeated. You can get the night edge ingredients 3 of them with only partially defeating the evil biome boss for the items and either losing to him or recall potion and mirror away then using crafting stations to get those items. The upgraded evil biome pickaxe can mine hellstone which can let you make the volcano. Muramasa requires you to either defeat skeletron or make a drunk world and get the item there, but not the molten gun that totally requires skeletron to be beaten.

The Blue Moon is a flail that can be found in Gold Chests within the Dungeon, or Golden Lock Boxes found in Dungeon and Stockade Crates. When used, it will emit light around it. The Blue Moon is stronger than the Ball O' Hurt or The Meatball, but is weaker than the Sunfury. Its best modifier is Godly or Demonic. Both modifiers increase the average damage output by the same amount.
I tried this challenge pre Master Mode being introduced and banned the star cannon and gravitational potions, and made it to Moon Lord on expert before giving up and using both on him and beating it. Seeing that feat get repeated on master is definitely impressive, even if you basically skipped Moon Lord! Something to note is I feel like you aren't taking Golem seriously, and if you did, he wouldn't be a struggle at all. All you have to do is get on level with him and shoot his fists first with the phoenix blaster until they break individually. It takes quite a while but killing the fists before dealing even a dent to his head makes the fight a breeze. (I think when I did the fight, the Phoenix Blaster wasnt full auto so I used Minishark instead which took aaaaaages, but hey, it worked!) For Destroyer, Star Cannon obviously works but Hellwing Bow loaded with Hellfire Arrows is already more than enough provided your arena is suitable (and I made a fucking huge arena for these bosses!) Oh yeah, wasn't checking in the video to see if you did this, but: healing potions are bad. Use honeyfins instead. They're a 120 heal.

The upgraded evil biome pickaxe can mine hellstone which can let you make the volcano. Muramasa requires you to either defeat skeletron or make a drunk world and get the item there, but not the molten gun that totally requires skeletron to be beaten.
15:21 summons are the best bet
Even though they count as a projectile you can spawn them before using beach balls than throw Tham untill you reach the limit and than stop before de spawning the minions
He should have used the bee mount
Dying to fishron in 4 Hits? Sounds like a normal summoner playthrough to me xd
me, a summoner, with 90 defense:
YOU UNDERESTIMATE MY POWER!
@@deaconaligood which mod u playin? Xd
@@MegaMieb no mods lmao
@@MegaMieb Valhalla Knight Armour: About that...
(Vanilla set with 68 defense and +4 HP/s Regen. It doesn't give minion slots but the defense is high and there's plenty of summoning damage bonuses on it.)
Abigail would probably be absolutely incredible for the moonlord fight
People say he cheesed moon lord but he showed that its impossible to do it with pre hm gear, so its not like its clickbait
Appreciate the growing use of OSOFOG tunnel
Ah yes, i love buying stuff while Cthulhu is watching over me
Hey you can use the shadow crates for life force I think so you can get a infinite supply pre hard mode
i love when you say "the brain is goated i love it"
Those early shield dashes on duke are the bane of my existence.
I am always excited for a new Gungnir video, I’d give up a Klondike bar for it tbh
In my opinion, beating Terraria with such a restriction is a good example of peak Terraria gaming!
You could have maybe used heartreach potions and a grav potion on golem. You can build actuated heart statues right outside the temple and when you get close the hearts will fly to you
I love when you upload but miss the longer uploads. Always hungry for more content!
ah yes the classic OSOGOF-Tunnel. We love to see it.
This is literally the first time someone has ever struggled with golem.
Someone unironicly useing the OGOSOF plantera arena is very cool
This guy Is a mad lad
Star Canon is such a bad ass weapon. I remember when it was arguably the best ranged weapon all the way back in 1.1/1.2 and it has never stopped being incredibly good
I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS CHALLENGE LIKE YESTERDAY WTF
My excuse for using the conveyor belts would’ve been that you can do the same thing with hoiks, so all you are achieving with conveyors is convenience in the building time
Completely forgot this channel but glad i saw it
Frog climbing gear instead amphibian boots leaving space for terraspark boots fairs me pretty well
"The brain is goated, I love it" -Gungnir
De los mejores jugadores de TERRARIA que he visto , sigue asi buen video
It was hilarious to hear Gungnir saying things about Golem that make him sound like a tough fight 😂
I really want to say something like "You poor bastard" regarding this challenge, but you quite literally did it to yourself. Still, fun video, I hope you're doing well.
Its amazing he described golem as "tough"
Finally, another once in a blue moon Gungnir video!
Easy cheese to beat phase 2 retinazer: hide in a house. He can’t hit you
I haven’t seen a 2 and a half hour moonlord fight but I did see the multiple day moonlord fight with only the lawnmower
Ah the timeless Plantera arena classic, the OSOGOF tunnel.
(I think when I did the fight, the Phoenix Blaster wasnt full auto so I used Minishark instead which took aaaaaages, but hey, it worked!)
For Destroyer, Star Cannon obviously works but Hellwing Bow loaded with Hellfire Arrows is already more than enough provided your arena is suitable (and I made a fucking huge arena for these bosses!)
Oh yeah, wasn't checking in the video to see if you did this, but: healing potions are bad. Use honeyfins instead. They're a 120 heal.
