I wonder how much easier this would be if defence was always zero, regardless of what you had equipped. You could use armor for the damage buffs and set bonuses (beetle armor bonus is damage reduction, no armor), and use accessories that include defence like celestial shell and stuff

there is actually one fairly obscure piece of armor you could have used in the leg slot with your magic set. the Djinn's curse. it allows you to slow fall and is actually a pretty good buff to mobility (you activate the slow fall with the up key, not the jump key)
could of used the wood pants to i mean they do litreally nothing but hey he could get morning wood i guess

does it give any defense tho? Tipsy was barely able to fix the 4 defense from his two armor pieces. any more and he would've had too much for tipsy to cure.

@@kubaGR8a single stack of Sake would last him 5 in-game days, so unless ale lasts longer (and I actually think it’s shorter, only 2m instead of 4m) it’s not that big of an issue

Too underrated
I actually really like the pillar events, since they're the only way to engage with enemies difficult enough to stand up to late game gear. Its refreshing to be challenged by enemy spawns rather than knockback immune, terrain ignoring bosses.
Only thing that comes closest is post plantera dungeon
Eh, they are annoying to be honest. With the number of enemies that spawn, it's just a chore to do - especially that enemies drop nothing unless you play Calamity. The only way Pillars would be fun is via reducing number of enemies appearing AND cutting the lifespan of that pink orb one of Nebula Pillar enemies fires in half. So many projectiles coming from all directions, or enemies spawning on top of you (looking at you, Vortex Pillar) that it's just UGH.

It beautifully encapsulates the human struggle to its basics; suffering, pleasure, faith, despair. The flavor, music and everything can be heard, tasted, seen and felt from a screen. You can really hear the breaths between the music artist, empathizing her love for this rotating chip. Truly what I call modern art. This was the most legendary performance by any piece of chip I have ever watched. The acting was top tier and very life changing. Tip for the brain of cthulhu/eater of worlds: they’re designed to be fought in the chasms, much like how golem is designed to be fought in the lizahrd antechamber. If you can lure the boss outside of the chasm, it becomes much easier.

with the mage emblem, you can use the shimmer to swap it, or there's a loot swap mod where you can switch it with a token that drops in the treasure bag
At first I thought limiting yourself to staves and wands would be hell, but then I realized that melee and ranged are the most reliant on armor bonuses, where magic usually gets mana augments from it's armors. Any magic damage bonuses lost from not having armor can totally be made up with just magic power and the crystal ball so yea def took the sane route. Might just have to try this playthrough myself. Optimizing my dodging should set me up for a future master hardcore playthrough
