We attempt one of Colorado’s TOUGHEST Trails! | Blanca Peak

- Blanca Peak 4x4 and hiking trail is known to be a brutal and difficult… it was. A stock Jeep Wrangler JL Rubicon and a stock Ford Bronco Badlands Sasquatch take on this trail with a brutal reputation. Jeep VS bronco, will we make to the end? Well, yeah, we’re Mallcrawlers so of course, but we won’t make it unscathed.
Channel Members have access to our filming schedule and I want you to be in the videos! The Black Bear crew gets additional easy to edit videos but offer more up to date info on trails (since guides take a while to put together). The Holy Cross crew gets more say in what videos get edited for the channel (video credits and early looks at Trail Guide edits). / @coloradomallcrawlers

Hey guys, I’m excited for this one as I haven’t seen it. Of note, Drew had 13 hours of footage to sort through and my narration GoPro didn’t record audio. Drew fixed all of that… that’s why he’s the best editor around! Also, unfortunately I’m working 12s every day so I likely won’t be in the live premiere, but Drew should be using the mallcrawlers account. I’ll get to your comments when I get off and after watching myself. Also, I normally don’t do this, but please like, comment, share, watch to the end… all revenue from this going to Drew! Thanks for being great subscribers to this channel!

The dog is the real winner here! Great views and looks like a beautiful trail.
Couldn't agree more!
Our club has sponsored that trail for over 20 years. Drive it with companions, drive the proper equipment, show it the caution it demands, and above all please respect the environment around you as you ascend and descend. Pack in, pack out, stay out of the wetlands. It’s one of the most iconic trails in Colorado, help us keep it open.j
Absolutely! Couldn’t say it better myself. Thank you for all that you do to keep it going. An iconic trail indeed.
You are definitely brave.
Jeep needs to sponsor you.
You make more advertising content than any Jeep commercial that ever watched.
I appreciate the nice comment! I just want Jeep to fight for off-road trails like they use to, instead they’re more concerned about being a luxury brand. I do know Jeep corporate watches the videos tho.
@coloradomallcrawlers I really enjoy watching your videos with my son
Definitely impressed with how well the stock Bronco did! ESpecially as a 4dr.
Great edit… that was rougher than I remember lol
Planning a one month tour of the entire state and I gotta say, your videos have been helping me out a lot with my route planning.
I’m glad they’re helpful!
Dog has the best transmission...nothing stopped him! LOL
He does lol
Yup. I know having three legs helps a lot , so four must be even better.
That dog is playing it pretty close to them vehicles.
I was worried too, but Davon knew his dog well and in reality, they really never got as close as it looks on camera.
Hello from another Rubicon 2 door 3.6 manual owner! Really appreciate this channel, not many of us out there!
Save the manuals!
Well done video! If I may suggest, you can air down way more than you did and it makes a huge difference. I ran 12 psi when I was on 33s and run 9 to 10 on 35s. Non beadlock and I've never lost a bead. Great driving and spotting, keep up the great content!
Thanks! I know I can but I didn’t air down further because I’m running stock protection. I’m upgrading the armor on the JL soon, but if I ever get to making my JL review, you’ll know why. Appreciate it tho!
Neat video BUT it’s not fair competition. It’s 4 door vs 2 door.
True, We considered some of that when we filmed and knew to some degree outside of having a 2dr on 33s and a manual it would still have some differences. The automatic definitely helped the Bronco but the video documents the story of how the trail went for us and the vehicles we had available to us. Zak now after 2 years of waiting finally has his 2dr Bronco so I'm sure it will be in future videos. Thanks for your comment and joining the premier!
I would frame it as what the pro and cons are for the different configurations.
Awesome video guys! Great work editing Drew! This just shows that both the Jeep and Bronco are super capable rigs. You just have to know how to drive a little bit 😂
I tried so hard to get a 4 door Jeep and 2 door bronco to join us as well as Toyotas. Couldn’t get anyone besides my buds, Davon and Drew. As Drew said, Zak now has a 2 door bronco and we’re filming it on Saturday. When this was filmed, there were so few broncos out there.
@@coloradomallcrawlers Oh, I understand. Thanks for trying your best to make as fair as a competition as you can!
Wow, great adventure, gorgeous scenery! very challenging trails, I can imagine how tortuous the way back was!!! The dog walking in front of the Bronco all the time made me nervous...
Thank you! Davon knew his 4 legged pals well… he assured me they were not in danger and they didn’t get hurt while filming!
This was an absolutely amazing video can’t wait to do this trail now, thanks so much for the amazing content
Our pleasure! I can’t wait to go back myself!
All I can say is you guys have some cojones grandes!! Well done!
Thank you!
Thanks for this awesome video and highlighting all the obstacles. I think I'm going to add this trial to my to-do list when I head up to CO in August.
Have fun! It’s a great trail!
Well done to all of you! Thanks for the adventure!
Our pleasure!
What beautiful scenery! Thanks for the vid.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That is a beautiful area. Its rough when the guy in front of you is digging 35" holes.
Lol, Drew cut a lot of that out… but seriously, having those two guys out there made this tough trail a lot of fun! The Bronco definitely impressed me and it’s a shame Jeep won’t put stock 35s on a two door.
Best trail guide you’ve made! Awesome!
Glad you think so!
Wow! Great video! Well done by both rigs. I really enjoyed this one.
Thank you!
I respect the wheeling with the stick! I have a 4 door bronco black diamond and I have a stick too! I keep up with all the rigs! Love this video!!!
Nice! Way to keep the manual alive! It’s much easier with automatics as my liberty is one, but it feels pretty good to accomplish a hard trail with a stick. Thanks for watching!
I can’t wait to visit Colorado next year. Thanks for another great video 👍
Have fun!
@004 Rubicon owner here. Best jeep ever built in my opinion.
They’re definitely great Jeeps!
@@coloradomallcrawlers I'm 68 years t and have owned and driven many 4x4's
Nice work, for sure that was a technical trail but so beautiful. thank you for showing us. Me and my jlu rubi are gonna look at this one next summer.
Hope you enjoy it!
Ok, settled in and waiting! Looking forward to this Dewie and Drew!
Thanks buddy! Just finished it myself and want to go back lol
Love the video. Growing up I did this trail with some uncles and cousins. It was a guys trip and it was definitely a memorable trip. We still talk about this trip to this day and the trip was back in the '80's. At that time we did the trail in K5 blazers. Don't know if I'd attempt it now but it sure looks like a heck of a trail. It's amazing to see and to know that I did that trail. I do know that a 4x4 magazine also did an article on this same trail and rated it as extreme. Great stuff guys!!!!
I get that… I still think about this trip and going back. Thanks for sharing! Very cool story.
you guys blow my mind every video! Well done.
Thank you!
Experienced spotters make a world of difference. Great job, guys!
Thank you!
Fantastic footage. This was your best video yet👏👏.
Glad you enjoyed it and really appreciate the compliment! Drew does great stuff!
I do this trail every July with my dad for a fishing/camping weekend. I'll say Jaws 2.5 has become the hardest part over the last few years. Good to know that Ford and Jeep have factory rigs capable of doing this trail.
That sounds like a great trip!
Great job Drew. Another great video guys! 👍🏼
Thank you!
Sweet campsite! I'd be opening some whiskey after doing that trail. It was crazy
It was!
YESSSSSSSSS !!!!!!!!! A MASSIVE THANK YOU Drew and Dewie , This was DEFINITELY worth the wait !!!!!
Sorry for the long wait buddy!
@@coloradomallcrawlers AWESOME job on that trail !!!!
VERY impressed !!!🤘🤘
I REALLY want to do this trail, (AND black bear pass)But They just scare the SHIT out of me...😳😳😳 !!!!
Black bear isn’t that bad, but that sheriff scares me as I’m certain he is going to try to prevent it from ever reopening.
@@coloradomallcrawlers thats what i hear as well...🤔☹️
I love the style !! Run to the end and Camp. That's what's up !! 👍
We agree… that is the way!
Well done video, bravo. I'm glad to see that Jaws 2 has been make less lethal, kudos to the folks that made that happen.
Couldn't agree more! Thank you!
Blanca is a great trail. I’ve only ever completed it on a 4wheeler/atv. Camped in an electric storm where the rocks where vibrating. Crazy fun times on Blanca
I bet that was wild!
Nice! Those views up top are amazing.
They are!
equally good. They both made it . Looks like so much fun.
I agree!
Awesome video, thanks fellas
Our pleasure!
honestly amazing content! wish more account would upload content like this, no need to have huge rugs to have. good time on the trail.
Thank you! It’s more fun for me to wheel a smaller vehicle… I’m making my TJ on 30.5in MTs my main trail vehicle for most trails. The JL will get a minor build to what Jeep should have done (35s on a two door)… and I’ll use it on trails like Cliffhanger, Holy Cross, Moab Rim, Kane Creek, and my return to Blanca in the future.
Just wanted to say thank you, the production quality is high and I enjoyed experiencing your adventure. Thank you!
Thank you! We are trying… we want them to be cinematic watches while still be useful to you to go out there an do it yourself!
@@coloradomallcrawlers you are succeeding!
Love it man, great video!
Thank buddy!
Wow what a trail! The difference between video and in person I'm sure is very big. There were a few spots that were hard to see why it was so difficult. Can't wait to hit some trails in the summer in the Wrangler now! The list keeps getting longer.
Video never does a trail justice… I just use smaller vehicles to show the size of stuff better.
I am happy that I found your channel, I have a stock two door wrangler rubicon and have only taken it on the sand dunes,it did great greetings from Australia.
Welcome! From what I’ve seen in Australian off-road vids, that stock 2 door should serve you well.
Great video. Out here in the great Southwestern deserts, we have our challenges, but not much like Colorado. I took a FWD Mitsubishi Precis(!) up on the deer trails outside of Leadville in my foolish youth, sneaking into mining sites and exploring old abandoned houses, and even an old zoo up there. You reminded me of how much I miss that place. Maybe one of these summers I'll take a couple weeks to get out there and back again!
Definitely come see the real Colorado!
Love the Xterra. I had a red 2000 Xterra with 3 in lift, 32s, and shrockworks winch bumper. Those were the days. Always better to wheel with a variety of rigs than just Jeeps.
I agree! More fun to film too!
Great video man. Capturing how steep some of those obstacles are is hard and you managed to do it with some of those angles for your shots.
Thank you! Now that I use the drone more, I want to go back and film it again.
Great video, nice dog. Thanks so much. 😁
You’re welcome!
This is why it is great when your group has different wheel bases. When you work as a team you all make it.
Couldn't agree more!
I did that in a 2012 power wagon. When the jaws two was a landslide in 2012. Then on my canam 800. Fun trail.
Awesome!
Pretty impressed with both! Nice vid!
Me too! We thought there was a good chance one or both of us might need help so we had a local rescue vehicle on standby. Thanks for watching!
Love your videos of stock vehicles especially broncos vs jeeps and 2 doors.
Thank you! My new to me stock vehicle is going to make these even better… 30.5in tires, 1st gen TJ wrangler Rubicon. The JL is going to get a very minor build… 35s, upgraded armor and rails. So the JL will be for brutal trails and my daily, the TJ will be for most trails and also dailied, and the liberty will be my tow vehicle full time overlander. The liberty still is a work in progress tho and the TJ needs some maintenance, but it has been a solid wheeler so far.
Awesome trail & video! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
@@coloradomallcrawlers I actually enjoyed this episode more than the latest episode from 4WD24/7 for example :) I like the "keeping it real" aspect of your videos + the trail info as well. And the trail is very challenging, it would've been a challenge on my KTM 690 Enduro let alone a 4x4. Keep it up!
I just watched that after Drew told me about their holy cross experience (we also had an eventful day there). I actually though they’re similar to what I’d like from us… basically a group of guys with different perspectives/personalities wheeling a trail to make something useful to others. So that means a lot that you think so!
Great video. I wheel a manual JL Willys and can sympathize with how much harder it makes the technical stuff.
Absolutely, but it’s so much fun to actually be in control of your vehicle. Sometimes I wish I got the 8 speed to make filming easier as well as the JL’s clutch issues… but then when I go driving, I’m like no way, manuals rule!
Awesome Video Dewie! Impressive
Thanks for the visit buddy!
Looks exhausting for man & machine...
Watching myself, I definitely was exhausted. I’m always exhausted tho, but more so on blanca (work was stressing me out… screwed up my personal leave days like always).
Great video and what an awesome trail. If you think that one was tough Im interested to see the video on Holy Cross. The boys from 4WD 24-7 just did a video on that trail and they turned around before the town site after multiple breakages on rigs running 35 - 37 tires.
Davon (his bronco setup the same as it was here), Drew (xterra but with more mods), and I (still completely stock) filmed Holy Cross last year. It’ll likely be a better video than this one, but Drew and I (the editors) work full time jobs so we are very behind on editing (25 videos to be edited). It was tough once it started raining, but we didn’t have any major breakage (altho I minor one). We’ll get to it, but we’re likely going to film it again and make it a two parter.
The Perfect Counter was....Perfect
Getting my rubicon delivered Saturday then I hit the trails, Can't wait.
You’re gonna love it!
Hahahaha great video. Love the pup running along with you. Scenery is just amazing. Broncos are interesting to watch on trail. Ifs is definitely a hindrance. Jeep Rubicons just need a little more tire. Maybe a km 3 35 inch and running 9lbs in them should make them unstoppable.
Just old Jeep guys two cents. Haha
Thank you! Gonna be putting 35s on it and then take it where the other RUclipsrs say you need 40s lol
The dog was an expert spotter in a previous life.
Lol
I love it thank you.
Thank you too!
Has the Broncos owner I'm a little biased on what my decision would be. The biggest handicap that jeep had was being a manual. In any case if I ever tackle that trail I would love to do it with you guys since you guys probably have not only more experience but definitely more experience on that trail. Great video
Thank you! It’s a fun one!
Great video! Has me wanting to try it....maybe....i think i need to find me a dedicated camera-man....so many good angles and shots!
I filmed this one so poorly… it’s amazing Drew was able to make such a great vid. I want to go back just to film it better lol
This is why I'm going to get a 2 door manual Bronco.
Manual is the way!
When's the next one? I want to come along! My JL is no longer stock though, but, it would be fun to go out with a good group of guys!
We’re gonna start filming again in April. Right now we’re trying to catch up on editing what we’ve filmed. I use to announce trail days on my Facebook, but since a lot of the community doesn’t have facebook, I’m trying to announce trail days on memberships this year. The lowest tier gets those announcements as I didn’t want to make it expensive. Eventually I’ll get a website to remove the pay tier, but since I spend more money on the channel than this channel makes, I can’t justify buying a website now.
@@coloradomallcrawlers I'm part of a couple of the Jeep Facebook groups you're in too, seen you on there. I am not really active on Facebook though. Looking forward to more videos! Looking forward to using "babies first drone" too! I have a DJI Mini 4 Pro coming Monday, excited! Thanks for all the time investment you put into these things!!
Dang! You guys have some... Guts! Awesome video! I've heard rumors about this trail for years.
But sorry, I won't be buying any used vehicles from you. Haha hahaha!
Thank you! Lol, just had my JL evaluated, no real damage 😉. I’ve restored it to brand new status as it’s a mallcrawler… but I’m about to up the protection and take it on even harder trails.
@@coloradomallcrawlers I love the fact you are going old school without spending tens of thousands on upgrades. Nothing wrong with that. But your gang proves it doesn't have to be about the spending. It's about the experience! Cheers!
As.long as you have extra rocks and extra people the jeep does great. Bronco all the way !!!
Lol
Great video. Sad to see all the beetle kill up high.
Agree!
More trail than I would want to do in my rigs current configuration for sure
It really was brutal… I’m pretty sure some of my lower body damage was from Blanca if not all of it. Now just waiting on better skids and rails.
You both made it! But I'd take the Bronco all day. Thanks for the vid.
Of course!
"Perfect' video! Wonder if the results would be similar if both vehicles were either Jeep or Bronco with Wheelbase being the only difference
We got this NO problem
Glad you think so!
On those rocks, you can air down enough so your tires do not slip. Spinning creates a lot of problems. Though, it looks like it was a manual so that didn’t help either.
Yep, manual
What tire pressures were you guys using? Cool video, looks like a heckuva trail.
I think I was 15-20psi in the Jeep, the others were probably 15psi
Great video. I’m sold on the 1st Xterra’s. It hung with the big boys!
? It bailed the 1st obstacle.... Its a fireroader....
Thank you findingabe! Highwayman, Blanca is nasty and it’s a very capable off-roader! He did the iron Mike obstacle while I and a Toyota bailed on doing it.
@@highwayman1218 this was the beginning of my Xterra's involvement in the channel. The main thing I was missing on this trail was skids and sliders otherwise I would have gone further. They're very capable in the right hands, even stock. Future videos will show just how far outside of "fire roads" the Xterra makes it.
@findingabe thank you! Stay tuned, there's lots more adventures with the Xterra in the pipeline. You'll see it in a few other recently Posted videos as well.
That is crazy town....
Lol, we just like to push ourselves and our vehicles.
The Wrangler is a much better 4X4 for a number of reasons but to name one…the solid front axle is a huge advantage!
Well I’m biased and a long time Jeeper. I agree, but only Ford is giving the two door 35s from the factory. No Xtreme recon, no hemi, no diesel… Ford has the ability to surpass Jeep if Jeep doesn’t realize they are NOT a luxury brand.
@@coloradomallcrawlers I get that but the 4-door Rubicon actually is better in a lot of four wheeling situation’s. I had a 2021 two-door Rubicon and now I have a 2024 Rubicon extreme recon. The four-door is actually better climbing the hills in Moab Utah.
Maybe easier, but if you know how to bump properly, a 2 door won’t restrict you. Also having a better breakover and more maneuverability is pretty awesome and why Stan Fuller (stock CJ2A) outwheel everyone on RUclips. If you want to see a master with a SWB, Stan is the man, he’s on RUclips.
@@coloradomallcrawlers YES, is that the name of his channel?
@@coloradomallcrawlers I found him!!! Thx!
Great video! Looks like a fun trail - how long did it take to get to the end where you camped?
Thank you! I think it’d take about 3-4 hours… we were filming so it took a little longer.
Great Video! I should be out in Silverton next August or September I would like to join up with your group especially if you are planning Black Bear/Imogene Pass I'm in a 2023 2dr Rubicon will be on 35s and a Mopar lift by then
I hope black Bear reopens… the San Miguel sheriff prevented it this year when the trail was safe to drive. We are always out there, but my schedule is chaotic.
I've owned 2 JL Rubicons and currently own a Badlands on 37's. I can, with absolute certainty, say the Bronco is the best option for 99% of ppl overall, and the on-road ride comparison skews in favor of the Bronco in a significant manner. It's not even close. I'm very interested to see what they do (wrangler) with the upcoming total redesign.
Good input!
I think you need a 2.5” lift with a little taller tire, but not wider. And a lower 1st gear like the old compound low, in the older trucks had.
Now that I have the stock TJ Rubicon, I may slightly upgrade the JL (35s). Still, I love the challenge of taking a smaller vehicle on challenging trail. Thanks for watching!
U guys are crazy!
Lol
I was impressed with the rock rails on the Bronco. They absolutely saved the doors. Can you share what brand or where you got the sliders?? thanks
I’ve messaged Davon your message… hopefully he’ll respond to you.
The rock rails I have were cheap-o N-fab. They’ve handled the abuse very well and are direct bolt on. No issues at all.
Child's play for the 2dr jeep
Lol, I wish!
I think it's only fair when comparing a stock rubicon to a stock bronco that if the bronco has the sasquatch package the jeep should have the xtreme recon package.
I agree, we tried, but due to the trail’s reputation… only Davon and Drew showed up. Not many will take their stock 50-60k vehicles on this trail and that’s what we did here. We are also not a comparison channel, we make trail guides with stock and modified SUVs and that’s what this was. It was also filmed when there were hardly any Broncos out there (Davon was one of the first to get his) and we had one person who just took delivery of an Xtreme recon. He was coming when it was his modified g wagon, but then backed out when he got the Xtreme recon.
Bronco hands down to me looked like it performed a lot better. Not only performance but it also looked way way more in control. To me it's a clear W for the bronco in this specific situation
Not a bad take!
Own a 4 door jeep wrangler JL with a manual. It would be nice if Jeep added a super low first gear to their manuals
Absolutely in full agreement… would love a true crawler gear!
Bronco appeared to have better traction on a lot of the obstacles. I really thought the swb would make a bigger difference.
He’s a better driver than me 😉. I tug him on a future video… they have very similar traction abilities.
Amazing video guy and It’s always entertaining seeing a Rubicon driver’s fragile ego get hurt when off-roading with a Badlands. It’s ok, Ford did a great job and it’s a brand new vehicle with new technology, it’s gonna be better inside and out, Rubicons are still amazing machines. It would be interesting to see how much better a 2-door Bronco would do with break-over.
You’re wheeling with the wrong people if your buddies with Rubicons have fragile egos.
Blanca legit scares me. It's one I'm not super interested in doing
We try to make seem less intimidating, but it’s definitely better to do in a built rig. The video should be awesome tho… Drew edited it and I haven’t seen it yet because I’m going to watch it when y’all can (Sean said it’s awesome!).
I gave your dog a thumbs up! Great video and you have to take into consideration that a stock 2 door JLR on 33" tires is the true champion here considering that it was outgunned by the Bronco.
Lol, thanks! Jeep should have offered a factory 2 door Jeep on 35s tho 😉
When you upgrade tires eventually, 35's make a huge difference...
I still like the challenge of picking my lines.
Looks like Toyota Landcruiser country. But I admire your courage in taking a Bronco and a Jeep!
I couldn’t get any Toyotas to join us… I tried and I didn’t even require them to be stock. I said bring your built Toyota and I’ll call it the Jeep and bronco recovery vehicle. Heck, I want to go back and film it again, you coming?
смотрю это из плоской москвы и слюни текут
Thanks for watching!
I thought your video was really good but the comparison was a Hmm. If your going to compare the two brands, then at least do it with 2 four doors on the same size tires or 2 two door versions. Only this way can the data not be biased. I've had have 3 Rubicons (2 two doors and now a gladiator), a Toyoda Tacoma four door truck, a 4 door ford half ton, 2 dodge diesels and a couple sws with independent suspension, which all have their ups and downs. Thus, I personally think overall matching lockers versa standard 4wd, especially matching wheel base and tire size to give the best overall comparison. Cheers
You have a very good point. We considered some of that when we filmed and knew to some degree outside of having a 2dr on 33s and a manual it would still have some differences. The automatic definitely helped the Bronco but the video documents the story of how the trail went for us and the vehicles we had available to us. Zak now after 2 years of waiting finally has his 2dr Bronco so I'm sure it will be in future videos.
@@Drew.Hunter.Maker.Artist Great to hear this update. I know you guys were trying to unbiased in your video and thank you for that too. Looking forward to watching another video.
This was filmed when there were hardly any broncos out there. Davon tried recruiting the few broncos out there at the time. I tried recruiting Jeeps. Pretty much all our wheeler friends were scared of this trail. Even a stock yet brand new 392 Xtreme recon who was onboard for a while (also just released). I’m mostly disappointed I couldn’t get another Jeep. Unfortunately this trail has a nasty reputation among Colorado wheelers. Still, almost every channel does apples to oranges comparisons including our local auto reviewers TFL… but we aren’t a comparison channel. We make trail and overland guides (filmed, but not edited yet) so trails are the focus here. However, I’d argue traction is traction and you get to see two stock vehicles, one with solid axles and another with ifs vehicle on a nasty trail. Not many people are willing to take their brand new 60k vehicles somewhere like this.
Do you have skid plates under the jeep? Any damage?
Factory skids and rails. Crossmembers got beat up and the rails flexed into the lower body causing damage. However, I’m not sure where it happened as I wheeled other hard trails after this. No frame or permanent damage and I was able to get body work to restore to factory. I recommend aftermarket rock rails for sure.
Great job. That trail was awesome. Marked it in my Gaia app. Is it doable in June or still snow?? Thanks
Depends… best to check TrailsOffroad before doing so or calling the local ranger district.
So much talk about the Bronco snapping tie rods. Was anything done to the broncos tie rods? Any issues?
I watched the video again in different spots. The Bronco did have upgraded tie rods.
32:13 minute mark. Us Bronco guys always have that thought in the back of our minds. Looking at the title of this video that’s all I was thinking about watching this haha. I wonder what tie rod replacement he has? Did he snap his prior? Either way…Great video. Earned a follow from me.
He just knew he’d be pushing it so he was preemptive. He has since gone to 37s, but no issues that I know of. Unfortunately my other buddy with a stock 2 door Sasquatch has cam phaser failure on his 2.7 and we were just working out wheeling plans. Hopefully he’ll be back up to speed soon tho. Just sucks for him. Welcome to the channel!
I love watching these videos but I can’t see myself doing this
To scared to damage a 50/50k vehicle
Not to mention the voiding out of warranty
Jeep won’t void your warranty if you keep it stock… and they claim it can do the rubicon trail stock. Damage is repairable… the biggest thing is you don’t want to roll it. But having some driver sense helps with that. Thanks for joining us!
Man I just watched a video where this guy flipped his bronco
RUclips channel is bleepinjeep.
Showdown bronco vs jeep.
Respect what you guys do!!
Jaws 3 looks like you were only using BLD and not locked in. That would have made a huge difference.
Pretty sure I was locked in the rear at least. I didn’t lock the front a lot on this trail as I wanted to keep my maneuverability, but it’s possible I wasn’t locked. If so, it wasn’t intentional. I didn’t edit the footage so I’d have to look through it to know. I just know I didn’t expect to struggle on it, expected to struggle on 2.5 tho.
@@coloradomallcrawlers Thanks for the reply. I was seeing the front wheels spinning at different times. The brake locking diff works but not near as good as being fully locked in. When fully locked, when one wheel spins so does the other at exactly the same rate.
You would have diffidently made it easier on that part of the trail fully locked and the stick shift adds a lot of frustration also(great driving btw). Watch at 20:43 and you will see what I am talking about(BLD).
Great rig BTW and I loved the video!
I’ll check it out… I’m beat right now tho as I scouted a trail after work today. Thank you!
