Regarding tension, I like to say that unless you're using a different thread in your needle to your bobbin, then the default setting of 4 or 5 is fine for most all situations (there are even some machines with an 'auto' setting that actually just sets the tension to the same value as the 4, and I think that feels like a scam because it pretends to be like much higher quality machines without actually doing anything). Usually adjusting the tension is only for when you use imbalanced or super heavy/light threads and fabrics.
Also unless the dial is on 0 or 9, if there are loops of loose thread in the stitching or thread breakages, then it may be something other than the tension setting that is the root of the problem.

I just watched the "Keep doing dyi tailoring" or something and wanted to say that, even though my opinion does not matter, i respect and thank you for your videos, i did pick up a sewing machine and tailored some pieces and i do feel amazing on them, not just because they look awesome but also because they feel great "on me", this being said i do find it hard after a couple dozen videos to wanna watch every single new video that you put out, and yes i know this has been address just excusing myself, xD, but maybe some diferent also man's style/fashion related topics would be cool and a way to venture out into diversification, i for one really enjoyed the "teeth whitener / cleaning" video a good while back. Anyway keep at it much love from Portugal man

What about thread storage ideas, I have a large index card box but now after your videos I'm doing more and need to expand. Does anyone sew socks anymore years ago I used my Mom's maraca thing but I don't see them anywhere.

So weird seeing brands you only know from a different type of product (brother = printers) make something else entirely. Like Yamaha motorcycles but also e keyboards, or the peugeot pepper mills.

Can't remember what it's called but how do you feel about backstitch vs my machine has a locking stitch feature? I always have trouble choosing one over the other
If your machine has a locking stitch than that's perfect and will absolutely suffice. I'm sure they're the same thing with different names.
