*I CANT BELEIVE HOW HAPPY* it makes me to see you have 121k subscribers on a channel for men's tailoring - WOW I do men's bespoke tailoring 1900 to 1930, so seeing that clothes that FIT is becoming a thing is just amazing to me...!!! THANK YOU for teaching the world.
I love you man 😎 I would like to add the most important advice for every beginner. It is okay to make a mistake in your first work. Sewing comes with practice first, so continue my friend and never stop because of fear. All the best in sewing world 🌸
I don't wear or work with men's clothes, but I'm very happy to see more men in this community. I love your energy and really enjoy your our presentation style which is very entertaining and easy to understand, and I love the little snippets of your life that you include. That freeze prank from the practice video had me subbing immediately.
If my thread colour exactly matches the t shirt material, then I do two rows of zig zag stitches. This allows the material hem to expand a you put on the T-shirt.
Ok, I got a video idea! There's all these pants with extra "seat" room included. Maybe you can explain how to eliminate that baggy seat when the rest of the fit is fine?
OK - this is hard to explain without a drawing. Turn your pants inside out, lay them flat with left and right sides together and front and back opposite each other - the rear seam called the closing seam, it will look somewhere between a "/" and a "J" the point of the /J being at your crotch. OK The closer to a J it is the more you are taking out of the seat. Ie you want it less of a straight line / and more of a J shape. FIRST - get a needle and thread and stitch it in by hand, try it on, keep doing this with big stitches until you get it correct. Hope this helps.
@@piccalillipit9211 Howdy, I have grabbed a pair of chinos to examine and it does kinda make sense to me. So it sounds like it need to put a hook in there. I'll see what I can make of this. Thanks a bunch for the generous instruction! Great place to start and maybe I can start back wearing all these great pants without looking so ridiculous ;)
@@StylishDTailors Correct .. is 100% polyester long sleeve shirt by Columbia. It’s treated with something that has SPF on it so you don’t burn while you are fishing (they also make swim suits, etc ... out of it). I know how to go either from the shoulder or just at the arm hole but I’m terrified it’s going to get wavy on me because it’s 4 way stretch. I was going to try the twin needle but I’ve never done that before. I have learned so much from your channel but I didn’t see anything on this.
I inmediatly learned not to watch the needle because after sewing a tshirt my head was exploding, kinda like motion sickness. So for anyone out there with that problem, don´t focus on the needle and turn all the lights on!

Nothing better than truly fitted clothes - Something I need to practise for myself.

Thank you!
Do you have a video in how to shorten sleeves in fishing spf fabric? It’s 4 way stretch and I’m terrified!
Similar to a workout shirt?

*THE REASON RIGHT PEOPLE LOOK RICH* is not cos their clothes are expensive - its cos their clothes FIT.
Truer words have never been spoken!
Instead of a bedsheet, buy a fabric and try to make a pajama bottom.
Good idea!
