I had a z flip 5 and it lasted me a year with no issues but i was dissapointed with the battery life. But everything else was perfect. Watching this from my flip 6 hope it lasts better. Already battery is heaps better

Using it for a year now. Had it repaired for FREE(c/o Samsung Care+) because a black spot appeared on the crease and a line then appeared later. Now using it for more than a year, battery health is normal but drains gradually even though I use dark mode and power saving. A little bit of lag as I've noticed on every samsung phones when used over time. Now I also dont fold my phone very much because I'm scared the black spot and line would re-appear. Probably won't buy the flip or fold again tho. But I'm still a Samsung girlie and will prolly buy the S series in the future.
the z flip 6 notice u😂, I don't know why, but the Z Flip 6 seems to improve the shortcomings you mentioned, hot? vapor chamber give it in z flip 6, battery? they increased it to 4000mah, peak brightness? they increased it also to 2600 nits, main display and cover display, then i hope with the new soc snap8gen3 make the battery live longer and it becomes cooler without any heat on the smartphone, especially since a vapor chamber has been added,Oh yes and also, the main camera of the Z Flip 6 takes the exact same camera as on the Samsung Galaxy S24 series which makes the camera upgrade really really good
I was curious to see how the 6 came out in this part, and I saw from some creators that even with this upgrade the phone still warms up a little bit, so for some things it shouldn't heat up as much while for heavier use it will still heat up a lot.
I used flip 3 for 3 years & upgraded it to flip 5. I enjoy using my flip 3 so much & I was using it half-flip to watch youtube all the time. I also like to put it in my pocket and I’m a heavy user + phone gamer. I can’t imagine stopping using a non flip phone. The minus was green saber. It’s like most of the samsung screen problem & the battery sucks. But I’m glad flip 5 is better. My fiance said to upgrade it to s24, but it’s too huge for me.
I still love my flip 5. The fact that I can use this phone one-handed still is a killer feature for me personally. I would say the battery is not the best. I don't care about phone cameras, they all suck IMHO. What I don't like is how Samsung is removing features via updates. Example: I configure an app to be started using a double tap on one of the buttons. That worked perfectly. Unitl a few weeks ago, after an update, it will now require me to open the phone. Same is for opening pdfs; at least for this one I have found a workaround (google files allows you to open pdfs on the cover screen). Also I still wish there was an easy way to disable cover screen timeout. The hardware is great, but Samsung just doesn't do much for the flip 5 owners IMHO. At least Deezer improved their UI so their app is now really nicely usable via cover screen.
I broke mine in just 2 weeks. But that was my fault as I used a case with bad hinge cover. Samsung immediately fixed it and I got the phone after three days. I still use it as a second phone side by side with an iPhone.
If anybody is still here put your flip 5 on light mode, it will keep it from overheating and it wont close out your background apps or effect game performance
I'm thinking about getting the flip 6 and I'm not worried about dropping it. The 2 other phones I've had plus the one have received probably less than 30 drops total

Bad choice my flip has factory malfunction .the fold gets bigger crease and now it's leaking black film covering my screen I bought cover screen to protect it and plastic protector not helped.yes it gets hot 🔥. I bought it ATT and it's been almost 2 years my warranty expired. ATT or Samsung may have not informed consumer that it's a factory defect.
I'm about to complete a year with my Z Flip 5 too and I agree with you! It's a great and practical device. Unfortunately, the battery is no big deal, but in addition, they could make better use of the external screen, because in addition to losing visibility of content in some apps, many are not even functional, Samsung could work harder so that it is not necessary to open it. I see that this is also a problem in Z Flip 6, so I really hope that there will be some updates that focus on improving usability, although I still think that while Apple does not produce foldable smartphones, many apps will still be little adaptable to this screen size. 🥲 I loved the video, also the shirt and the color of your Z Flip 5 of course (hahaha), mine is Pink/Lavender. 😄✌🏻
