Typing this from my Razr+ and I couldn't be happier. For me it's about the outer display and after comparing both the Razr wins hands down. The whole concept of a flip is to be able to have great functionality with it closed so you aren't opening it as much. And the Razr just smoked the z flip in this category. Oh and this is coming from a Samsung guy. Just my two cents. Great video Seth!

The one thing that made me decide to buy the Razr+ over Flip6 is the cover display. With the Razr, I can use it to approve/reject my 2FA app via the notification without opening the app itself. I have the RAZR from last year mostly because I missed getting a RAZR back in the day. Be worned that these phones don't last a full day without changing during I thought maybe because my other phones easily make it from home to back home but not this one.
from some one who own the motorola razr 2020 lasted about 14 months before the main screen when green purchase the samsung z flip 5 February 2024 main screen has a green line on the lenght of the phone , don't know how long it will last but putting out over $900 for a flip phone might not worth it . bottom line these phones don't last as long as the old flip phones they look cool but good luck if you plan on keeping them for a couple of years or longer

Crazy coincidence looking for tech review and come across Seth. Normally watch you for sneakers. I hit the like soon as I seen you. Felt Just like seeing a friend after a while 😂
It's difficult to recommend either... The flip 6 throttled down to 46% within 20mins of gaming. The razr plus throttled down to 54% within 20mins of gaming (and has a weaker SoC), Performance (sustained) is very comparable between the two as a result of poor thermal management. If you run the tests in a refrigerated room, they don't throttle down as far so if you live in a really cold place, these devices run great! 😂
I think most people don’t play those type of games on cellphones, but I think flips would be a bad choice for a two handed game. I got the razr yesterday and it’s my favorite… and I’m typing this on my iPhone pro. I’ve had countless cellphones since the 90s
@strikerbowls791 yeah, it is a phone... did you know that mobile gaming accounted for 49% of the marketshare in 2023? Consoles accounted for 28%, and PC 23%.
I’m looking at the Samsung flip 5 just cause idc about the newest one that came out, but I do really like the razr front screen fills the whole thing. The Samsung flip front screen looks a little odd with the shape with isn’t a big deal. Just a bit of an ocd thing lol
I was in between these phones for 3 days, couldn't make up my mind. I was sold on the Razr, but even though it clams to have 32 mp camera it looks worse than the 12 mp samsung camera IMO. Now that I know that the Samsung can have the apps on the outer side via Good Lock, I think I've made my decision. Thank you. (PS. I think its really weird Motorola knew itrs customers zoomed in more often than ultrawide)
I just got a replacement phone for my zflip 4 in a week or two im going to upgrade to either the zflip 6 or the razr i had to replace my phone because after so many thousands of opening and shutting of the phone the built in screen protector starts to bubble and crack.. im hoping this is something they fixed with these phones
I don't know anyone who keeps a phone for 7 years but I guess it's nice to know that's an option. I'm not really a fan of Samsung because of their heavy UI but it does feel more polished than Motorola's Hello UI. Motorola's Gestures are very handy, especially the chop flashlight. I think it all comes down to what you feel is important in a smartphone. Honestly I'm looking forward to the pixel 9 lol
I just got the razr 2023 on a good deal so I could test drive a folding screen phone before spending 1k or more on one and so far I love it. I'm now trying to decide between flip6 and razr+ 2024.
Currently using the Razr 50, and obviously it is a cool phone with lesser price than the Samsung Flip 6. Of course the Flip 6 is a great phone, but I won't be able to tell the difference if the Flip 6 is better as I haven't used any of the phones myself. I am happy with the Moto Razr, as it has been my dream phone since 2006 when I first experienced it from my friend.
That outer screen looks like a game changer to me. The outer on the Samsung looks almost like they didn't care, compared to the Motorola. Motorola for the win!

What are you doing with the Samsung @3:40 It's like you are just pretending to slide it? Did you mean to edit in movement afterwards or something? You also didn't correctly show which phone had the sound on during the audio test. Did you even watch this before uploading?
I watched this to help me decide and now I really can't decide lol. I know I will never go back to Apple I hate it and I had a razor when I was 21 years old and it was my favorite phone by far that I've ever had. But I do wear polarized sunglasses and I heard that the screen on one of these phones is it visible with polarized sunglasses and I don't remember where I read that and which phone it was but that would be a deal breaker for me. Does anyone know which one is in as visible with polarized sunglasses?
i had the razr+ for about 3 months before i dropped it right on the hinge and now only the external screen works. i am devastated because i loved that phone. switched from iphone and once i got used to it, i could def see myself sticking with it for a long time. unfortunately i didnt have the insurance and now i just decided to add another line with the flip 6. im worried its not going to be as good. anyone have any insight on the s24? i was between the flip and the s24. only thing is that i think im gonna miss having a little foldable phone but i dont want it if its lacking in comparison to the razr
It is almost impossible to pick one over the other, as both come with different compromises. Regarding the camera, you might run in to the limitations at either the Tele end on the samsung or the wide end on the Motorola. The outer screen on the motorola is larger, and when you can make use of all the space, it looks nicer. And if you are looking for a solution for one handed use, the size advantage of the outer screen can make a difference. On the other hand the Samsung has better build quality, with dust protection in the IP classification. The samsung also seems to have more tools for the "laptop" half open mode, I wish there was better standardization for this, as it can be useful. But not only to folds, it is also an alternative for one handed control of any phone, with play controls, or touchpad. And the Android updates will probably come quicker and you will get more of them for the samsung. The number of updates, might not matter, because it is likely the phone will break before that is ever an issue. The motorola is cheaper, and they are better at doing discount campaigns earlier in the lifecycle. What I don't get, is why they don't have selfie cameras under the screen. On a phone like this, you could get away with it, as you are likely to use the outer camera for high quality pictures. Too bad that there is a yearly release cycle of phones like this, because samsung could have probably countered with an equal outer display, in half a year or less, probably putting it on top.
The Razr+ 2024 (named Ultra outside of the US), to the best of my knowledge, is not sold with 512gb in the US. It is only 256gb in the US even though you said the opposite in your video. Outside of the US, the Razr+/Ultra is sold with 512gb.
Now having the Samsung I love it but I don’t know if I’m going to keep it due to the screen being to skinny I like my screens wide. When it comes to PHONES and TVs and monitors. And it does need a bigger cover screen but I like the design style better.
As a RAZR 2023 owner... the HW is amazing, solid, reliable. But I have buyer's remorse. The SW, is a train wreck. Their complete lack of response to marketed key functionality being broken, seemingly permanently, by SW updates is a huge blow to customer satisfaction. Even in the much belated Android update - use of voice assistant with the phone closed, eg - hands free operation - reportedly remains broken for more than seven months. Moto needs to step up their SW game to win me back.
The video quality is clearly superior on the Motorola as it appears lifelike with true colours, the Samsung seems filtered or washed out slightly. I have seen the same on other reviews.
Typing this from my Razr+ and I couldn't be happier. For me it's about the outer display and after comparing both the Razr wins hands down. I went with Razr+ because I prefer Android largely to iOS and Samsung has been churning out overpriced junk for the past 5 years. This Razr+ is the best phone I've ever owned, and Motorola might have just earned loyalty from me.
On Your Camera Demo to me the Motorola looks more realistic were the Samsungs looks filtered ...
The hactics on the Rarz + are wonderful! Is one the reason I went with the Moto.
I have the RAZR from last year mostly because I missed getting a RAZR back in the day. Be worned that these phones don't last a full day without changing during I thought maybe because my other phones easily make it from home to back home but not this one.
Really great vid thanks for sharing... after watching, I decided with the flip 6
That Moto looks good. Kudos to Motorola. But Imma stick to my ancient Z Flip 3. ❤
I had one of the old Motorola flip phones and loved it, I'd buy another in a heartbeat.
from some one who own the motorola razr 2020 lasted about 14 months before the main screen when green purchase the samsung z flip 5 February 2024 main screen has a green line on the lenght of the phone , don't know how long it will last but putting out over $900 for a flip phone might not worth it .
bottom line these phones don't last as long as the old flip phones they look cool but good luck if you plan on keeping them for a couple of years or longer
Depends on which country you trust more, that always determines my purchase habits for phones
The razor video looks brighter and more colorful but the fact the z6 has better hardware makes me want it but I really like the camera looks on the razor.
I'm getting my second Flip because it looks better and feels better (mostly because i am a pro photographer) the Moto looks good too. This review is great because they are both great in different ways. I think the the Samsung is more sophisticated and the Moto is more flashy
if only Motorola give updates diligently, it can compete toe to toe. software updates is what turn a lot of people off with the razrs .
got the base model Razr and its perfect for me. I didnt need anything the plus offered. plus I sorta like the smaller front screen, I have somewhere to grab that isnt screen
The base model has bigger battery to compensate for mediatek SoC being more power hungry than snapdragon. I would love a battery life comparison.
I have an iPhone 14 Pro Max.. I’m sick of it.. is the razr+ worth it?
Crazy coincidence looking for tech review and come across Seth. Normally watch you for sneakers. I hit the like soon as I seen you. Felt Just like seeing a friend after a while 😂
Razr + looks amazing to be honest
I’m choosing the razr because it’s 899 now
It's actually $854.99 at the moment!
@@rellimsevenswhere? I only see 5 percent off on the website!
@@rellimsevens where?
I order my razor yesterday I was going to go with the Samsung but I don’t like how the front look I like the full screen
I will definitely will go for Razr, best looking and performance.
Razr is 300$ more then flip 6 here….😢
To me the video on the flip looks like a filter. I like the realness of the razr
It's difficult to recommend either...
The flip 6 throttled down to 46% within 20mins of gaming.
The razr plus throttled down to 54% within 20mins of gaming (and has a weaker SoC),
Performance (sustained) is very comparable between the two as a result of poor thermal management.
@DiegoPoston you'd be surprised 🙃
Gaming? It's a phone
This is a great video. Thank you so much. Ill go ahead and buy my Motorola
I just payed $350 for a brand new Razr 2024. Hell yeah!
Where at?
Where?
Bro, where?
where? please tell.

I am happy with the Moto Razr, as it has been my dream phone since 2006 when I first experienced it from my friend.
samsung looks like a gameboy advance SP, i’m sold
That outer screen looks like a game changer to me. The outer on the Samsung looks almost like they didn't care, compared to the Motorola.
Motorola for the win!
Do you know the difference between the razor and the razor Plus in these two models?
Ram and screen size I believe.
razr!! im looking for as small as possible smart phone....also, motorola is the best when it comes to phome conversations too...I'll probably get one in January
Does the crease damage the screen over time?
I take lots of pics of my kids / family. How are the day time / night time shots on either phone? Because that's a huge thing for me.
im old man and this is my 2nd phone. Had samsung 22. I miss my flip cell phone.. dont watch internet or alot of videos. Bought it for small size. Comes in a few days and will post review. Got 400 off for taking mid range program. 300 too pay up off phone and my payment will stay same. got mil discount and got a verizon visa ,only time I use the cc. ordered off web site..
Im going towards the Moto!
Any idea when this phone gonna be release in EU? If not might get the 40 ultra.
What about durability? Water, dust, and drop?
Like so many other people in the comments, I have never been happier with a cellphone as I am with this razr… thankfully, it’s a backup phone because I’m going to be super protective with this baby.
What are you doing with the Samsung @3:40
It's like you are just pretending to slide it?
Isn't ***
165hz front screen vs 60hz? the choice is clear. Need that Razr+ ASAP.
How long are updates guaranteed on motorola ?
7 years updade on the fold 6 is a big deal in my book.
Just got a razr 2024 for $200. Cant beat that price. bought it as a second phone to my iphone
i had the razr+ for about 3 months before i dropped it right on the hinge and now only the external screen works. i am devastated because i loved that phone. switched from iphone and once i got used to it, i could def see myself sticking with it for a long time. unfortunately i didnt have the insurance and now i just decided to add another line with the flip 6. im worried its not going to be as good. anyone have any insight on the s24? i was between the flip and the s24. only thing is that i think im gonna miss having a little foldable phone but i dont want it if its lacking in comparison to the razr
Is the razr just as customizable as the Samsung? Like can you customize the display and fonts and apps and choose different themes?
Hi Seth! You make great videos
Will Galaxy z phone cases fit a Motorola razr???🙏
Anyone know when Spectrum will have the Razr+ in stock?
Unrelated to the video.. (peeping the sneakers)do you sell or trade Jordan’s ?
I think a lot of people will probably put a case on it. It's pretty easy to open with the case I have.
You mentioned that both phones are available with 512GB. I sont aee where the Razr come with that option.
I play Pokémon go with my son. How does the screen fold handle touchscreen gaming like that?
Should I get a z fold 5 or z flip 6/razr+
I ended up going with the motorola
Now having the Samsung I love it but I don’t know if I’m going to keep it due to the screen being to skinny I like my screens wide. When it comes to PHONES and TVs and monitors.
And it does need a bigger cover screen but I like the design style better.
... Damn, didnt even recognize the youtuber til i heard the voice, read the channel and was like
"Oh, thats catchy"
i would go with the motorola razer 2024
Does the razor have a music player?
As a RAZR 2023 owner... the HW is amazing, solid, reliable. But I have buyer's remorse. The SW, is a train wreck. Their complete lack of response to marketed key functionality being broken, seemingly permanently, by SW updates is a huge blow to customer satisfaction. Even in the much belated Android update - use of voice assistant with the phone closed, eg - hands free operation - reportedly remains broken for more than seven months. Moto needs to step up their SW game to win me back.
How long does Moto provides android update ? Samsung pushing android updates for 7 years is a very big deal to me.
Thanks which is better
The video quality is clearly superior on the Motorola as it appears lifelike with true colours, the Samsung seems filtered or washed out slightly. I have seen the same on other reviews.
Hoping to have the moto razr soon. Been saving for it
