Motivation always fizzles out. Habitual behaviour is the key. Make a decision first based on a goal, next make a plan, execute that plan repeatedly. At first it will be hard but will become habit with persistence. As an ex personal trainer, this works when motivation fails- every time!

I was too but I found fun ways to cook and eat vegan meals and I love it now! I’ve been vegan for 6 months now but probably practiced for another 6 months before that so give yourself time to adjust! It doesn’t have to be all or nothing!
I just made the quinoa salad! OMG!!! I thought I would have to add olive oil for extra flavor, but NO it's delicious as is. There is nothing 'bad' in it, all healthy and so tasty. I'm so excited to add this to my easy, go to recipes. Thank you Rose!!! 💖
Still not looking for low calorie meals but simultaneously, I love your videos too much not to watch this one :D Plus, this actually inspired me to experiment with using lentils as a scramble base...I have done pancakes based on lentils and they were great so maybe it is time to test this idea too! . Just had an idea. May I suggest for the Veggies that are Wet Like cucumber & Tomatoes. . If the meal was portioned out but instead of including the Tomatoes & Cucumber put them a whole veggies on top of the meal. They could then be cut up& included into the meal at that stage …….As for the Avocado Pear ……..if one was cut up or cut into 3 or 4 & plenty of lemon juice put over it. Leave it for an hour or so then pour the lemon juice where ever but not to leave The Avocado Pear in the Lemon for days. It maybe to much liquid to leave it in. . You will know better. Well. i dont eat any priducts accept im eating some hummus frim the store and trying some caned fiid and its really mayd me feel less good even tho it is giving me more variety but going from scratch is super important ,,tho i know u have been exploring wahtz available from people and i have not but i value yur insight u have from yur exploring💗💕🌈
maybe try frozen veggies to get more variety? You can easily pour some from the bag into your bowl, and microwave them until heated through, and it's ready to eat. You can bake things like broccoli to give them a nice roasty flavor, too.
Most meals will last okay 3 days in the fridge, depending on the vegetables used. Another option, is chopping the veggies that go 'soggy" day of, instead of in advance, or placing them into a separate compartment or container, away from acids, to be mixed in day of.
Can anyone explain why my Japanese sweet potato cubes discolor when I steam them? - - and I'm talking that they are mottled with an unappetizing gray/black hue (not solid discoloration).
Could it be a reaction to the metal of the pan/steamer you're cooking them in? I've had that happen once when I used a metal steamer basket instead of the bamboo one I have now.
@@missragsdale Dunno. Same method didn't discolor garnet yams cooked same pot/same time. But I don't have any whites to test. When I get more, I'll try steaming them in ceramic. Thanks.
Theres a fab kiwi chick called Chelsea Mae and she LOVES sweet potatoes. i only ever had the orange sweet potatoes so i dont know for sure but i think hers might be japanese sweet potatoes? shes always steaming or baking them and showing us the end product and they always look grey kinda mottled and unappetising to someone whos only ever had pretty orange ones but watching the way she and her kids hook into them, they must taste AMAZING.

I’m not an expert on using lids in cooking, but aren’t they usually used to cook liquid based meals. If you don’t want a dish to be too moist or liquidy, don’t use a lid. The steam hits the lid and forms water then drops down into the food.
Its fats and barcodes. while u r wanting to lose weight, cut out oils, fats and processed foods ...thats stuff with barcodes on it...then u can still eat lovely big meals of starches (like rice and spuds and oats) with veges and chickpeas/beans and loads of fruit) youll be full and the excess weight will drop off! its called THE STARCH SOLUTION.

My partner hates it too. Says it tastes like soap. I use other herbs in it's place, like basil etc. If that is too much for them, sometimes I just add a handful of shredded lettuce or cabbage for a little pop of freshness.
