Been using silken tofu as a super quick easy creamy sauce base. Add some spices, maybe some lemon juice or a vinegar and use a stick blender and you have quick creamy sauce in like 5 minutes. Started using that instead of the more time consuming cashew sauces
I've been making your cashew alfredo sauce for a while now. DELICIOUS I usually add artichokes and peas. Sauce is also great as a white pizza sauce. Thank you for sharing all these great recipes. Gonna make the soft tofu for dinner tonight 😊👍💞
I'm pretty new to this but I just recently added artichokes to my pasta and I can't believe I haven't been doing this my whole life, eating meat or not eating meat it's a great addition to any pasta dish
About 6 years ago when I went vegan your Alfredo sauce recipe helped me so much!! I now have so many different iterations of this! Thank you so much! Really!!
Boiling the cashews for 20 minutes breaks down phytic acid which blocks absorption of phosphorus, so it's a good practice to cook (boil / roast)/ soak roughly 8 hours when it comes to nuts / seeds before eating them, or even if you have a high speed blender that can break down unsoaked raw nuts easily.
I used your recipe for peanut lime sauce and put it into my oatmeal, OMG IT WAS AMAZING! Toasted oats in a small pot, added veggie stock and cooked what the instructions said. Once it was done cooking, I added the peanut lime sauce AND DAMN IT WAS DELICIOUS! So luscious and creamy! I wish I could share photos here lol
I'm loving the Barilla high protein, plant based angel hair pasta. Tastes great, cooks quickly, and I appreciate the high protein if I'm not including a protein source.
Just made the Korean Soft Cold Tofu for a (very) late night dinner. So quick, so easy, so tasty. I have some leftovers marinating in the fridge for tomorrow (err, later today) and already can't wait. Such a perfect recipe; this is definitely going on high rotation in my place!
the thing with ginger is, I will never use a whole ginger root before it goes bad, so now I just keep it in the freezer. you can grate it from frozen and it lasts forever.
@@CheapLazyVegan Yw! I make sour cream all the time. Just cashews lemon and salt and it comes out so so soooo smooth. I do use the small cups though unless ur making a but load of cream lol 😂

@@spicyyyv It's salty unlike most vinegars, but you can add it to salads, dressings or just use it straight on food. I love it on rice, especially with dark sesame oil and if you want it really rich, can add some vegan butter.
@@spicyyyv I use it on sushi that has more bland vegetables like cucumber, or Daikon radish or if you're in a pinch you just cut up regular radishes. In fact the pretty good. Basically I love the taste on vegetables that are raw. But that's me. I got used to The Taste by eating the plum that they came from. And there is a sushi roll that has it in there with mountain potato, there's a Japanese word that I can say LOL little embarrassing. But they the root the plum and I'll leave called shiso it's hosomaki so the seaweed is on the outside and it's so delicious. So the vinegar when I found it went on every salad I make. To the point where I was eating too much salt so it's addicting. You learn overtime.
My teenage son is always sad when I run out of umeboshi vinegar. We're like "why do other people not know about this?!?!" We just add it right to our rice, beans and veggies.
I love these! I can't wait to try them☺️ it's weird to say that the beans are the protein in the Alfredo dish bc the cashews have more protein per cup I believe. At any rate the cashews are also a wonderful source of protein. The beans also are a super great source for fiber in that dish🍻 yum!
I actually like mincing garlic for some reason haha, idk ig guess i am usually also chopping an onion or maybe some other veggies so it doesn't seem like too much extra effort, totally get why many find it annoying tho, and if the cloves are tiny it's so much worse

Sunflower butter. Make sure you're getting your Omega-3s from hemp and pumpkin seeds but it's good. If you have a Trader Joe's the better price. Certainly less expensive than using that much tahini
