That's a mad setup, I particularly love that you've added a raspberry pi into the setup. Gold idea!
Thats a bad ass setup! 👍🏻
I love that setup
You can car camp inside an FJ by using a hammock attached to the front roof rack and looped through the grab handle, with the other end of the hammock attached to the rear roof rack. Using each side and grab handle you can sleep two.
Wow, did not know that. Any pictures of it? Thanks
@@bradberry1083 I don’t have any pictures, but I could take some. My FJ is a bit of a mess right now. Did you want some pics?
Never even thought of doing that, nice solution!
@@desertpunk6705 I would also love to see pics of this! I sleep inside my FJ on a mattress, but this hamock idea sounds intriguing!
Wow man this actually made me change my mind about getting a rooftop tent. This seams WAY more cozy. I mean you even have a fridge and as much storage as a truck camper haha. Really cool!
Glad I could help provide some inspiration!
I’ve also leaned away from the roof top tent, I think being inside is a lot more versatile
Amazing ❤
Great setup!
Nice build
I have a glind heat exchanger in my FJ Mark. Fits under the bonnet easily, more space inside and hot water instantly after driving or in a two or three minutes from cold. Highly recommend for hot showers 👌🏻
My dad has the same glind setup in his FJ, it’s a great idea and something I would love to look into in the future. I would probably have gone this option, had I not won the geyser systems in a raffle.
Sounds like you have your FJ setup dialed in!
Yeah it's pretty well setup, just "need" to get more lithium 😂
Dude. That setup is nice!!!!!! I'm thinnking about getting an FJ Cruiser. Seeng the possibilities on your rig really helps!
Thanks heaps! If you end up getting one, make sure to share what you end up doing with it!
Awesome setup man! I'm looking to expand my solar as well and was wondering how that slide out solar panel rack is built? I was wanting to mount something similar on top of my rack
Thanks heaps!
If you want to see some pics of it as it goes together, feel free to send me a message on instagram @bakedinmycar
Nice work mate. What's does it weigh with all the fruit?
Thanks mate! Last time I weighed it (full of camping gear with full water and fuel tank) it was 2460kg. So not too bad for an FJ.
@@BakedInMyCar yep, always a consideration in the FJ... but hey, we wouldn't want any other vehicle! 😁👍🍻
How do you prevent moisture build up from sleeping?
I usually keep the back window open a few inches in the summer with fan circulating and during the winter I open the drivers and passengers windows a crack. Hasn’t been a huge issue in the 4 years I’ve had the bed setup
Are the back seats removed or are they just laid down flat?
The seat bases are removed, but the backs are laid down flat. The reason for this is so that the front section of the drawer can be removed and the seats replaced easily.
How many miles do you have on that thing? I have an 07 w 140k.
It has around 240,000km on it at the moment, still going strong!
DCS are no good mate
The setup works for me and their after sales support has been stellar.
