The first pop up tent cost $20k-$25k. It is insane. I would consider getting one under $10k

I can use a good sleeping bag too so no power needed to heat it either

How safe is it? I don’t think very safe. Obvs someone is car-camping, so not safe.
It IS dry n mattress sized so u could go to a campground with it, yeah. That’s it.
Seems to me that it's expensive to have all this in you van. You might as well buy a RV.

N RVs are very unwieldy n gas hogs
Plus no stealth with an RV
The price of these is way out of proportion to their likely cost: I was looking at an Egoe Supertramp Complete with bed and cushions but they’re around £6-£7000 which is ludicrous. Even the “why spend thousands..?” Flip camping box STARTS at around €3000

Imagine putting all that heavy crap inside your suv .. it'll probably ruin your suspension in 2 days. Just fold your backseats and put couple of sleeping pads. only hipster posers would spend money on this crap.
Plus extra fuel use because of weight.
