@@pgirl0310 Sorry about that, I thought I replied but I'm not seeing my response here. I got them from Temu at a decent price, good quality too. Amazon also sells them.
Hi deez u might like watching JC Journey on RUclips your way of camping is like theirs they have a great suv build u might like great camping ahead this year for you i think u r brave
those have such good heat in the cold i leave my sorento running all night long it pours thick smoke from the huge tailpipe yours has a huge tailpipe to so cute mine has alot more weight in it the bumper is very close to dragging the ground but those santa fes they say hold more weight you ever leave it running all night
Good to know! I I’ve never left the Santa Fe run all night. Mostly cause it would use a lot of gas but I think leaving it run idle all night may be hard on the engine. I’ve seen folks install diesel heaters to keep warm. I’ve also seen people put small wood burning stoves, vented thru the roof of course. That doesn’t seem as common though.
@@DeezRoads dont hurt to try i love wearing my snow gloves and warming them up from the exhaust warmth from tailpipe if you huddle behind the tailpipe it flows so much warmth if you wanna sit outside and enjoy the veiws same time staying warm and cozy from the tailpipe
Thank you so much for sharing your set up. Since i have the same vehicle, finally now I know how to convert into a camper. What year please is your vehicle? Happy Trails to you and your family.❤
Thanks for your support and question! I purchased the magnetic curtains from Amazon. The curtains over top of them (white and gray) are the ones I made with cheap clearance fabric and an old blackout curtain cut to size. I stapled the fabric and the blackout curtain together, then use binder clips to hang them from the car headliner. 😄 I would love to use those alone but I'm concerned I won't be able to find magnets strong enough to keep them up. So, I just use both the magnetic and the DIY curtains.
Hi! I bought it on Amazon. The one I have seems to always be unavailable 😞 so I included another link to a similar option. Stackable Storage Bin w/ Lid (2nd choice): amzn.to/3Ro3CNJ Stackable Storage Bin w/ Lid (Original): amzn.to/3ZkUETn
Thanks so much! Unfortunately, the storage box always says "currently unavailable" on Amazon. I wanted to buy a 2nd one but it never seems to be in stock. Here is the link, I also included a link to a different but similar storage box. Stackable Storage Bin w/ Lid (2nd choice): amzn.to/3Ro3CNJ Stackable Storage Bin w/ Lid (Original): amzn.to/3ZkUETn
It’s a Hyundai Santa Fe. I know the 2021-2024 models fold flat but not 💯on the prior model years. I hope you find what you want and need! Safe travels!
I tend to travel with the weather so I'm not stuck in the heat. To help when I do get stuck in the heat, I roll my windows down and put mosquito covers over them and use mini fans to circulate the air, get a breeze. This summer, I want to try one of those arctic breeze machines. See if that makes a difference.
Mosquitoes 🦟 ugggggg!! I use window screen covers year round to keep out all bugs. They’re available on Amazon and Temu, for sure. The ones I bought on Amazon are thick, so I had to cut a hole on the inside portion for more air flow. The ones I got from Temu aren’t as thick but you have to be gentle with them. Lol
@@DeezRoads they work though 👍 thank you. I'm usually at the lake or by the River but can only stand it short while..glad I live close lol. I am however going to work an hour away and way to car camp while I'm there so I'm thinking curtain sheers might work 🤨
@@ForKnFifties I recently got a tailgate tent which has a bug screen, too. Used it twice now and definitely love the ability to have more air flow during the day while still keeping bugs out!! I do close and lock my tailgate at night though.

Good idea using the black sheet to blend in.
Thanks, it makes me feel a bit more secure.
Exactly the kind of setup I wanted to see for weekend camping. Thanks!
