Colin Cowherd is a joke! I don't like the Browns but They're going to be a force this year! Id like to see Cleveland fans finally have a football team they can be proud of. Lebron was the only thing that made that city any good in sports. Now Lebrons a bitch and the new hype in Cleveland Sports will be the Browns. They're winning 10 games this season. Might even win their division ! Its fun to see a historically crappy team come back and finally turn into something. The Browns drafted Qb's 1st round over and over just to find out they SUCK! Baker has the skillset and arm. I don't like him much because hes a bit of a cocky douche but hes got the intangibles.
The guy has immense talent, works incredibly hard, feels the need to be the best, and thrives under pressure. Not sure about 2019 but I bet he will win at least 1 Superbowl in his career
tbh i think the 2019 browns will do exactly as the eagles did in year two with Carson MVP season from baker after putting amazing talent around him that lead to Nick Foles winning the Superbowl but in this case i think baker will still there to Finnish his season
Of course he'll win super bowls. In the NFL super bowl commercial Tom Brady hands baker Mayfield his rings. Stating that he is passing the torch to Mayfield. The browns will be the next dynasty. I'm willing to bet the browns will win multiple super bowls.
As a browns fan this video makes me happy it sound like his flaws come from the fact that he is a rookie. These are tricks of the trade that come with time and experience. I think once baker gets another season or two under his belt he’s going to be a star.
you're right How so? IMO only Myles, Baker, Ward, Bitonio and OBJ are absolute “must keep” talent. Honorable mentions: Chubb, Schobert and Njoku. The rest of the roster should be constantly replaced through the draft or F/A

Great analysis. Dead on. This is how I felt about Baker before the draft; he was worthy of the #1 pick [was hoping he'd fall to the Pats because people thought he was like Manziel]. I noticed in college how quickly he progresses through his reads; it was beyond most veteran QB's. He has an ELITE arm [his touch disguises this at times]: quick release, Brees-like accuracy. But Baker also seems comfortable in chaos and thrives in pressure. His footwork and mechanics were refined. He senses pressure and actually navigates the pocket much like Brady. Love his toughness and leadership. He trusts his arm [he should], but there are times he'll force a throw or be baited by a safety or scheme. Once he [like Brees] learns to move safeties more consistently with his eyes, he'll take another step forward. Most rookies show flashes of veteran plays. Baker showed up immediately and only occasionally looked like a rookie. Cleveland should be excited and their fan base deserves it. Dorsey should be appreciated for knowing Baker was a generational QB [despite the doubters and media bias] and sticking with his guts. It was THIS pick which will be the foundation of the Brown's greatness to come.

I love this analysis, but maybe the expectation for Baker Mayfield, a rookie QB, to change plays at the line is a bit much. I think he will get better at that as time goes on.
Ron Walker yes you can because the goal of any rookie should to be better than drew and brady... who win it comes down to the facts legit are great because of their football and not their athletic ability. Anybody in theory could work hard and be like brady and brees. You cant just wake up and have a rocket like mahomes, or the speed of lamar, or the elusiveness of wilson. But you can learn to check plays, not predetermine where you will throw it before the snap, to hit throws on time, these are learnable and if you learn these and do it consistently you legitimately are now playing at a level of brady and brees. If you really look at the numbers of brady his stats are actually pretty average over the last few years.(now the one year he had elite skill position players he broke every record it seemed and went undefeated) but The main difference is he doesnt turn the ball over unnecessarily and not just interceptions but he doesnt get sacked often, he doesnt almost ever get stripped sacked especially. And he converts 3rd and shorts... for brady to have bad drives its forces outside of his control 90% of the time. For the browns baker is causing the wasted plays, he fixes these things and he is playing at a level like brady and brees where its just do the little things right and you win games.
Great analysis. Baker got better with pre-snap reads towards the end of the season. There was one TD play in particular where you can see him smile because he recognizes the D and changes the play.
I’m gonna push back against this notion that he would REFUSE to change plays pre snap. There’s not many 1st year QBs that have that option to change plays at the line. We also have to factor that he had to adjust to TWO play callers in his rookie season with two slightly different offensive philosophies. Decision making in some situations was questionable for sure but pre snap manipulation is a more recent innovation in the NFL, it was not always expected.
I predict Baker Mayfield will throw 20+ interceptions this season. His flaws aren't simple. Throwing into coverage is not simple to correct. A bad decision maker dosen't just get smart. Baker plays an immature style of football and the players who have played that way never changed. Example: Bret Farve, Jay Cutler and Micheal Vick...Markus Marriota has this problem. They make too many risky throws and they never change. Baker will try to feed OBJ to try to make the "hi-lite reel" play and get picked off. QBs that don't think don't win! And Baker is not a thinker. You can't think when you are scrambling around, he's just hoping a WR comes open when he scrambles. Brady and Brees have ALWAYS known where the ball was going and where their check downs where, from day one (because they STUDY) they don't scramble around. Baker often turns his back to the defense trying to escape (because he held the ball too long) then throws up a rainbow...that don't win in the NFL. BROWNS were 7-9
Harrington Benton if these are his problems you can’t tell me that any QB from this draft is gonna be good; Darnold is a notorious turnover machine doing the same thing. At least Baker has started to put the rest together pretty well
I'm a huge Browns fan and I actually agree with you. And yes, being a rookie definitely comes into factor for the lack of changing plays pre-snap. He showed a little ability of doing so against the Broncos when he changed the play at the line and it turned into a TD on a quick inside slant to Calloway. I think we will see a lot more of that this year.
He’s basically Broly, the legendary super saiyan. He’s all strength and power. His only weakness is there’s no limit to his power and he only has one body. Your only hope is for him to just explode from the inside out or match him score for score and just try to be the last one on the field.
Slim is chillin Let him play 2 more years till we claim he’s a super saiyan lmao, not being a hater I think he’s great. But he had a lot of positives, he got to sit under Alex Smith for a year and learn the offense, and then he jumped into an offense that had tyreek hill, Travis Kelce and Kareem Hunt, not to mention his line and other receivers were pretty good, also let’s add he has Andy Reid as his HC. I would of just liked to see him in a rookie situation like Darnold or mayfield and then see how he would of done but we will never get to see that so it’s irrelevant to bring it up.
Pilotorpheus 862 he always gives his supporting cast and Alex Smith their props. Don’t give Alex too much credit when it comes to Patrick’s success onfield though. Alex taught him how to be a pro and how hard to prepare for games. Taught him that being a professional quarterback is a year round job. But when it comes to his skill players, Alex had the same ones & couldn’t do what Patrick did. He may’ve surprised people that were unfamiliar with him, but that’s how he plays. All the way since high school. His numbers never fell off and his game never changed. He didn’t have Tyreek, Kelce and hunt at tech when he threw for 5k on a college schedule.
Slim is chillin I mean, just because Alex isn’t as good as a QB as he is doesn’t mean he’s not smarter, Alex Smith is very smart he just was never nearly as good as Aaron Rodgers. All I’m saying is people call him a “god” when he’s had one really good season, like I said I think he will be very very good, but don’t expect another 50 TD season.
You should do film analysis on Russell Wilson. He confuses so many fans and defenses and I have seen seldom breakdowns of his game, he’s special and I think it would be REALLY interesting Hope u had time to read this but hopefully you did
Great analysis. One caveat: Callaway is hella impressive, despite a "few" missed opportunities. For a first year player on the same team with an elite receiver such as Landry to lead in TD's is noteworthy, to understate the case. He will be the cherry on top in the upcoming season, thanks to all the attention the rest of the superstars will receive. Super Bowl, Super Browns!
Hey man, thanks for renewing some of my love for football. I really dig watching film with your narration. It makes me want to go play Madden and pick apart some defenses 🏈
The thing you gotta remember about Callaway is that he had been away from football for a year and then was thrust into a starting role after the Josh Gordon trade. He struggled early but definitely came on towards the end of the season
Baker Mayfield reminds me a lot of rookie Andrew Luck, I’m really surprised I don’t hear analysts not ever saying this. Am I off the mark? The arm strength, the physicality, the overeagerness to scramble in situations they don’t need to scramble Edit: I’m a colts guy but I’m pulling for the Browns and love baker Mayfield. Colin cowherd is a real mixed bag for me
I think the reason people dont like to discuss Deshaun is because there isnt much to be said; that hasn't already been said. Great eyes, has great weapons but his arm is not very strong.... his true kryptonite. That's the consensus I hear at least
Ive been going through and sharing all your videos on Twitter and Facebook.. I'll make it my goal to help you get 300k subs by the end of the year!! #YouDeserveIt
Not gonna lie here: you have the eyes and knowledge to either be a quarterbacks coach, or work in the film room for a football team. Your analysis and reasoning are on point, and I respect that.
Man if only people like skip or cowherd did as much research as you do and were as prepared for a knowledgeable discussion before talking on live TV.... wish you had the bigger audience you deserve man. Love your stuff.
Nice evaluation of Baker. As a Browns fan, I’m hoping he can build on his natural skills and abilities. I think he can be elite. He can be a Brees like QB and Browns can build a team around him. The next two years should show a lot of growth.
A pretty fair assessment of BM's 2018 body of work. I don't think I heard you say anything about the fact that he started after missing 2.5 games, and not getting 1st team reps until the 4th game. Plus his coaching staff in the first few games was not putting him into position to succeed. I agree, he has a growth window; I'm pretty confident that he'll become elite in time as he has the work ethic to do so.
Great video man. I like your analysis (very objective). I like Baker too. Seems like the flaws in his game you pointed out are things he can work on and improve. His fundamentals are solid compared to other rookie QB's and I like his mentality overall. Baker has the tools to be an elite QB, he just has to put in the work. Good job.
I love your film breakdowns. As an Atlanta fan, I really wish you would do some analysis of the Falcons. I think their one of the most talented starting rosters in the NFL and no one is talking about them. Their being slept on.
Baker probably didn’t have the authority to make changes to the playcall last year, given the way that team was being run and the fact that he practiced with the second team all preseason in 2018.
He did and they did change plays. THis is why he was the 3rd highest rated RZ QB. Keep in mind they were inventing a new offense and were running suboptimal plays just to see how they'd work, particularly at mid-field.
Like your videos. If you watch closer, towards the end of the year, he was either better or allowed to audible. There's a touchdown to Calloway against Denver that was clearly an audible. Also, Calloway will be better this year. He wasn't even in football shape after missing a full year at Fla. Keep up the good work.
Look at the broncos game, lined up goal line, changed it up and hit callaway on the slant, he showed improvement in this already. His biggest issue for me is not recognizing underneath coverage.
That Raiders game was his first NFL start btw, that’s why he made such a crucial mistake. When you mentioned his inability to change the play call pre snap mostly due to our terrible coach half why through the season (hue jackson). with freddie kitchens as HC our play calls will be very unpredictable and we’ll have a deeper play boom unlike hue’s playbook. Baker is going to take a huge step this year
I agree he has alot to improve. I believe he is the type of player to constantly improve his game which shows his ceiling could be really high with steady improvement
Ok, watched this after your "rebuttal" Baker Mayfield video. Curious if some of your critiques are more team/coaching problem and not a QB problem. Examples: Switching the play when the defense lines up perfectly to stop it (you admit this may have been a coaches decision, but I added it for reference). Receivers not calling out the blitz to help their QB out (An arm up is usually what most teams coach their receivers to do). Would you be willing to do a 32 team review on Coaching? What their teams can do to improve their players performance on the field. If you could do it in a way that it doesn't sound like every other network's "Couch Coaching" it would be great. If not, I understand that too. But if you can spot the same flaws week in and week out that other teams spot, it would be great before the newest season. Your film analysis seems more on point than many of your peers.
Freddie Kitchens really put this poor dude back a whole season development wise. Hopefully with a better play-caller who calls something other than four deep routes every play he'll do well.
I love your analysis, sir. Keep this up, it's really fantastic. I, for one, don't like Baker Mayfield. He'll ensure for years that the Browns are not an automatic win for the Steelers. The Browns actually got a QB pick right.

He’s basically Broly, the legendary super saiyan. He’s all strength and power. His only weakness is there’s no limit to his power and he only has one body. Your only hope is for him to just explode from the inside out or match him score for score and just try to be the last one on the field.
@@slimischillin7753 that's cool with me. I'm a chiefs fan I'm just used to disappointment so I'm trying to not get let down here 😂
Slim is chillin Let him play 2 more years till we claim he’s a super saiyan lmao, not being a hater I think he’s great.
He confuses so many fans and defenses and I have seen seldom breakdowns of his game, he’s special and I think it would be REALLY interesting
Hope u had time to read this but hopefully you did
Great analysis.
The arm strength, the physicality, the overeagerness to scramble in situations they don’t need to scramble
Edit: I’m a colts guy but I’m pulling for the Browns and love baker Mayfield. Colin cowherd is a real mixed bag for me
Pls do deshaun Watson he is very calm and good playng but doesnt get much respect
Sorry for the bad spelling
I am from Portugal
@#TEAM TRUMP and what if you are wrong?
Francisco Davis he’s right, trust me. the texans management sucks
I think the reason people dont like to discuss Deshaun is because there isnt much to be said; that hasn't already been said. Great eyes, has great weapons but his arm is not very strong.... his true kryptonite. That's the consensus I hear at least
Francisco Davis he’s not really wrong things aren’t going good with that organization hopefully your new GM comes in clutch
@@Mr.Marsha11 im a ravens fan but i always liked D Wat. I just dont like predictions like that because it is hard to know
Nice backdrop upgrade! Keep up the work. Love your channel and your analysis~
You have an amazing thing here. You were born to do this and i believe you can make it!
Ive been going through and sharing all your videos on Twitter and Facebook.. I'll make it my goal to help you get 300k subs by the end of the year!! #YouDeserveIt
Can we get an Ezekiel Elliott analysis? I love your videos and would love to see your take on Elliott.
I agree man Eli doesn't throw the ball the same way Baker Mayfield does.
I mean he is 14 years older than baker lol he's not gonna be able to throw the ball like a 24 year old would
Glad to have you back, my guy!
Awesome video, excellent points. I never even considered Baker’s presnap reads until now. Still love him, but I learned a shortcoming.
Just want to say I love your vids. I'm a big Baker fan and I love this analysis. Thank you
I see a QB analysis, I gotta thumbs up. Keep it up brother
I love your analysis’ man keep it up!! Also digging the new set up
thank you!
Good job.
This is real. Great video.
I am rooting for Baker.
I hope he is working on these things.
I love your film breakdowns. As an Atlanta fan, I really wish you would do some analysis of the Falcons. I think their one of the most talented starting rosters in the NFL and no one is talking about them. Their being slept on.
BM is a Texan. There will always be these type QB’s. Bree’s, Foles etc. winners, all from Austin, where they breed QB’s with swagger.
There was alot more than one play in that Oakland game. That strip fumble that got called back was big
Do a film analysis on why Nathan Peterman will be a great qb
Joe 😂😂😂😂 he wouldn’t be a good qb in division 3
@@Powerlifter83 no, he is the GOAT
Raymond Liu yeah good point 😂😂😂
I really would love for you to do a Diggs film analysis (his route running is amazing)
I'm down!
Do a video(s) on some ELITE quarterbacks! Good video, keep it up!
James Jackson he just did
Baker probably didn’t have the authority to make changes to the playcall last year, given the way that team was being run and the fact that he practiced with the second team all preseason in 2018.
He did and they did change plays. THis is why he was the 3rd highest rated RZ QB. Keep in mind they were inventing a new offense and were running suboptimal plays just to see how they'd work, particularly at mid-field.
Great work! Was a pleasure to listen to
Like your videos.
Love the change to the background
Cleveland FINALLY has their guy. It's hard not to be excited for Sundays at 1pm this fall. Maybe some prime time games...?
Absolutely love your videos and knowledge. Keep going bro I can’t wait for you to grow
Baker is going to take a huge step this year
I would love to see analysis from you on some of the great qb's: Marino, Elway, Montana, Tarkenton, Favre. I think it would be interesting to hear.
Subs r going up, LOVE TO SEE IT
Hard work paying off, great video
thank you!
I agree he has alot to improve. I believe he is the type of player to constantly improve his game which shows his ceiling could be really high with steady improvement
Great work as always Zac. Keep strong and stay the road.
NFL coaches should watch this channel
Your film analysis seems more on point than many of your peers.
currently waiting for this channel to blow up
I would honestly like to see you do a qb tier list.
good videos, you sound informed and confident and you enjoy what you do, which makes your audience enjoy it also. keep it up zac. go browns
Hey Zac, love your videos! Do you think you will be doing a Mitch Trubisky 2018 analysis any time before the 2019 season starts?
Very rarely does a rookie QB have the option to audible, unless towards the end of a game, they call 2 plays in the huddle.
Two words: Freddie Kitchens
Good content Zach. Love from the Philippines
I absolutely love your videos man. I see a big future for you
Freddie Kitchens really put this poor dude back a whole season development wise.
Hey bud u realize it took the steelers 25 years to get a decent qb between bradshaw and big ben 🤣
You need a radio show dude. You're great
