@@timquick7663 At first Brady was just a game manager who rode his defense to the Super Bowl and that's all he really was up until Moss. With Brady nowadays it's become the defenses allowing him to do what he wants. The Patriot offense is built on dink and dunk, any throw over 15 yards is a rarity and when Brady does go long he's not actually that accurate. If you run a defensive scheme that takes away the short stuff and doesn't worry about the guy going long you'll hold them back pretty well. The Jaguars did that for three and a half quarters in last year's AFC championship game and they were destroying that offense. Then in the final few minutes they developed a fear of the deep ball and started playing soft coverage. The Patriots then proceeded to dink and dunk their way to victory as soft coverage leaves that completely open. The Patriots don't score at the end of the first half or the end of the game because of scheme or player quality. They score because teams are used to going into soft coverage, or get scared into it by the Patriot reputation, and end up allowing Tom Brady to do exactly what he was going to do anyway. I'd love to study film with Peyton. I was pissed he bumped my Bears out the Super Bowl, but have to respect him. Especially when he was in Denver. He got bumped out the Playoffs by Baltimore and sat on that for about 7 months. First game of the season, he torched them for 7 TDs! I like my athletes to be like that. Up to that game, I hated him lol But coming back after neck surgery and then that game, I had to respect dude. He's witty and funny, too. Always like the man, but hated the Colt he was lol
That Bears/Colts game was a win win for me, and I'm a lifelong Bears fan. Liked him with the Colts and really pulled for him with Denver: he handled himself with class.
You were in a no win situation in that game, that Bears team was bad. The Pats would have beat them by double digits. Tough year but hey you got there.
the record breaking TD @ 6:52 just hammers down the earlier "predictatory" route stuff he was talking about earlier... the ball is 15 yards outta Manning's hands before Stokely is even finishing his break back to the post...the added meta of the "smash" signal is even more epic. Awesome analysis. Can't wait for the MNF mega-cast ish this year!
The Harrison/Manning duo was the one that made me like that watching football. We need a tandem of that caliber to emerge, it’s fun for everyone to watch
One of the most cerebral players to ever play the game. Lifelong Cleveland fan despite living in Indy for 29 of my 39 years, but damn I loved watching this guy play. Not a student of the game, Peyton was/is a professor.
BrandonShawN 817 that was a sick Dino route. You should watch the Ryan Tannehill QB camp. He teaches his WR how to run Dino routes because he used to play the position. Fun stuff.
Personally, I don not bother with the greatest of all time argument, as far I am concerned, there is no individual greatest of all time, simply a short list of the greatest QB's to ever play the game. Rule changes, improvements in medical science, the way the game is played, the variables in the quality of coaches and surrounding talent make it impossible to reach a definitive conclusion. Peyton is certainly on that short list though and I find his analysis every bit as brilliant as his playing was. This is a great insight into a small aspect of how the QB position is played.
If not for BB Peyton is the GOAT. Playing in a dome and the warm weather cities hurt him come playoff time. Brady I consider the best cold/bad weather QB and now of course the GOAT #6Rings
@@donsremodeling There are many ways you could define what makes someone the greatest, but all are fallible and all are subjective. Brady has 6 championships, which actually still leaves him one behind Otto Graham.
@@calibrazxr750 This is true. I only look at the SB era. I've watched Bradshaw, Montana, Elway, Marino, Staubach all play their entire careers. Brady is non athletic, really, but his above shoulder knowledge is unrivaled. His competitiveness rivals MJ's. I never thought I'd see any player go to 9 SB's let alone win 6. It's all opinion like you mentioned but his stats along with his hardware are backing up any debate. His 30-10 playoff record is absurd! He has more playoff wins than Manning does appearances 27. He has twice as many playoff wins as any QB not named Montana and will double him up next post season. The numbers are truly mind boggling. Let us not forget he is winning SB's and MVP's in his 40's.
@@donsremodeling But is it him, the coach, the players around him, the system? Don't forget, Matt Cassel led the team to an 11-5 record the year Brady was injured. The year Manning was injured his team went 1-15 without him. Brady has had the same coach his whole career, Manning played for multiple coaches and multiple teams. I regard Superbowls as a team achievement, players have personal stats, but even those are judicated on the talent they had around them at the time. Personally, I regard Marino as the best ever and had he played for the 49ers there is a possibility he wins 6 championships. But he stayed in Miami, carrying the team year in and year out. It is only my opinion which is meaningless to anyone but me.
Peyton you are my favorite football player of all time. From the day you hit the spotlight you have been sincere honest and as straight forward as a person can be! Also you don’t take yourself too seriously. Love and respect from a Browns fan!

You were in a no win situation in that game, that Bears team was bad. The Pats would have beat them by double digits. Tough year but hey you got there.
Me too, Im a lifelong Chiefs fan, and he has cost me a few dollars and one broken TV
IDGAF what y’all think ! This is the greatest QB Ever ! I love Peyton Manning !! Damn I miss him playing !!
The nfl isn't the same without Peyton
Kooda less interceptions?
Juan Rivera you are a sad hater.
Juan Rivera I sense great hate in you. You need to find Tom. Tom is in us all. Tom is love, Tom is life.
100%
the record breaking TD @ 6:52 just hammers down the earlier "predictatory" route stuff he was talking about earlier... the ball is 15 yards outta Manning's hands before Stokely is even finishing his break back to the post...the added meta of the "smash" signal is even more epic.
Awesome analysis. Can't wait for the MNF mega-cast ish this year!
The Harrison/Manning duo was the one that made me like that watching football. We need a tandem of that caliber to emerge, it’s fun for everyone to watch
Nice vid
One of the most cerebral players to ever play the game. Lifelong Cleveland fan despite living in Indy for 29 of my 39 years, but damn I loved watching this guy play. Not a student of the game, Peyton was/is a professor.
Sam King is going
Would love to see Peyton do a “Detail” on Kobe’s best plays. I heard Kobe said it was a no brainer picking Peyton for Detail. 😔 RIP Kobe.
3:26 OMG Marvin Harrison 🤢 that was nasty
Man used to have soooo much sauce man
BrandonShawN 817 that was a sick Dino route. You should watch the Ryan Tannehill QB camp. He teaches his WR how to run Dino routes because he used to play the position. Fun stuff.
omieg89 Tannehill is a good QB. He’s gets a lot of hate.
@@omieg89 I think he's gonna coach after his career is over, he's one of the smartest QBs in the NFL rn
@@omieg89 tannehil garbage
just so much knowledge in just a few minutes. you gotta love it.
I could watch this for hours. It’s so interesting seeing all of the intricacies of a game that’s so simple on paper
Make more of these. This is why I wanted to watch the NFL Network I don't care about the other crap I want people to break down the game tape.
I feel ya. No doubt. More stuff like this is my jam.
I suggest following Baldy on twitter. He does a lot of film breakdown.
i disco True. Baldy is good. I’ve heard it’s an emerging market 😜.
Brett Kollman. He does some good breakdowns
The real goat!😤
@@calibrazxr750 manning laid on the bench the last half of the season he won his last super bowl.
Nice to hear Peyton again. I remember meeting him at Broncos training camp while he was signing autographs with fans.
Peyton you are my favorite football player of all time. From the day you hit the spotlight you have been sincere honest and as straight forward as a person can be! Also you don’t take yourself too seriously. Love and respect from a Browns fan!
How could anyone dislike this?!?! I’m a Dallas fan and loved it!!
What does being a Dallas fan have to do with it?
God I love Peyton I could listen to him talk football forever
I love the way he's not talking to fans or analysts. He's talking to athletes and coaches.
For Cause But he IS talking to fans. This is what happens in every film study between coach and athlete at the college/pro level.
I could listen to him analyze all day, every day.
peyton is so humble and smart. I grew up watching him light up the nfl.
He so comprehensive we even get an Animal House reference
I don’t even watch football unless Eagles are playing. But man after watching this I’m in the mood to go throw a ball 🏈 and run some plays!!
Peyton Manning is Beautiful Breaking Stuff Down.
Make more of these! It's great to learn more about the game from one of the game's best.
Man listening to Peyton break down film is a breathe of fresh air. Use to get headaches trying to comprehend my coaches
