Herberts pre-snap reads are what makes him better than most young QB’s. The quick snap play, he knows the safety is going to blitz. He knows that’s going to leave the middle of the field open. Hits the slant.
The X factor is, Herbert makes 3-4 throws every game that no other QB in the NFL can make. Unreal.

@@xilencered7788 Why is it that nobody has scrutinized Staley until the Chiefs game? It is because he has had this mentality all year and has been winning these games with these fourth down calls. He is sticking to his guns with what has won him games in the past, and that makes him a good coach. They have won far more games than lost by not playing conservative. Compare that to Mike Zimmer who is called overly conservative and blows big leads week in and week out, and the fanbase wants him gone.

@@schaufy21 he always talks about not underestimating/ overestimating the opponent. They overestimated the Chiefs, especially after they manhandled the raiders. The defense can only stop the Chiefs for so long before they become exhausted and start making mistakes hence the chiefs getting easy points at the end. I would not consider going for a field goal conservative after the first three plays failed at the goal line.
