Out of all the fighter planes in history whether it be a P-47 Thunderbolt or a P-51 Mustang or an F4U Corsair the most beautiful and the most deadly here we are almost 40 years later and in a dog fight nothing can compare to the F-16 hands down the best!

    • @egooidios5061
      @egooidios5061 8 месяцев назад

      it is moving. Even slightly but its moving. if you ever get to see one up close while its powered up, take a look at its control surfaces. A slight trickle will be seen, as the lfight control system provides constant adjustments of positions. Heck, even in this video, pay attention to the elevator at 01:04 mark, as the pilot brakes to stop the aircraft. It causes the nose gear absorber to compress, and the aircraft to sense a pitch down movement which for the FCS system is un commanded, so it uses the elevators to compensate. These movements never stop, and when up close the whole aircraft feels like a living being, trickling and shivering

    I was blessed enough to witness a flight test at Edwards AFB where they had a F-16 and F-22 do this same maneuver back to back. I can say without exaggerating that the F-22 capability to climb after takeoff made the F-16 look like a propeller plane from WW1. It was anime type stuff like where the big tough guy is effortlessly beaten by the new boss. The difference in capabilities was cartoonish.

    • @harris9784

      A single F-16 engine wouldn't even be able to power the *_fuel pumps_* of a Saturn V moon rocket! 😄😃

    Wonder if that's a regular F-16 or the viper variant of the F-16. I have to agree that any country should be paranoid to come across this fighter jet along the F-22, and obviously, the typhoon.

      This was an unusually fast take-off since the plane didn't have any external load or fuel tanks and thus was very light.

    No fuel bags. No Weapons. Just showing off. P&W Enging like it should be.

    It is a beautiful plane. It was a great platform but its little better than a trainer today. The thing first flew fifty years ago and the prototypes even earlier. I understand its had multiple upgrades but its 300 mph slower than Russian and Chinese modern fighters and speed means alot.

    the aussies are regretting the f18 after finding-out about f16 and f15.? fuel-air mixture for a more consistent thrust-to-weight ratio of rocket.? or use less G or wait for more ground-speed or use mach1-minus-winged-flight(rocket versus plane) for vertical-stability...
