ive been planning to get one for my first car because ive always loved them, would you still say its a viable daily(id be the one working on it all that jazz)
My first car was a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport all wheel drive Limited. It was on 24's with rubber band tires, a body lip kit, wet two tone paint, a 7-inch flip out with two 10in in the headrest custom Sony Xplod in the trunk double woofer, and neon and Lambo doors were being thought about. It had brake problems and an electrical issue because of a shorted out alternator because of a cracked short block that was spurting oil in the bottom of the engine bay. I'm almost Happy it got stolen. But hey it was the coolest car in the high school parking lot next to a gangster 80s Cadillac Brougham Sedan Deville lowrider on Gold Daytons and a riced Honda Civic with this humongous fake bomex body kit and a piss yellow rattle can spray paint job with an angry can of bees.
My first car and favorite mod car still is a 2013-2016 Scion FR-S. Mines a 2013 and the options for mods are so high that you can always find something to work in the car.

But trust me..this is one of the funnest car u will ever drive in your life! Ul be walking around making your fiesta's noises like waaaaap ssssspshhhhh, ssssspshshhhh, pap pap
V6 Camrys and Accords are killer fun though. They're boats but they're still fun to drive (fun as in funny when you reach limits). They're like those early 2000s GM fwd cars with the 3800 engine. Nobody really cares about those cars but for a few people it's a nice reliable car.
This is my first time ever really looking into cars especially because I have to pay for my own first car soon. And I’m not a car person but this channel is the best way to get into becoming a car person. Especially to pick out the best first car for me. thanks so much!
1st car was a 1980 Honda Civic that was in less than ideal condition. It was a load of fun and got me into modifying and fixing cars and without it I wouldn't own my Supra! Everyones gotta start somewhere! You should do a video for best daily drivers too. Also...Hi Alex, see you on Sunday!
My first car was a 1986 Toyota AE86, bought it for $4k, GTS hatch and everything. Damn I miss that car, I'm saving up for another one tho! Wish me luck!
My 1st car is my 2013 scion frs. Bought it on impulse and not once regret it. Its slow af due to its torque dip, but handles so well and the aftermarket parts are endless. Learned manual in that car too. Very smooth light clutch and precise shifting throws.
Perfect first car for just learning basics of everything (driving & mechanical wise) :e36 A non M cheap af and it breaks down frequently enough in the beginning for u to learn how everything works :)
Best first car to own: Manual transmission Honda Accord or Nissan Altima. Learn the basics on a forgiving chassis and car. How to park, drive stick through bumper to bumper traffic/intersections, will never let you down. Feeling spicy a couple years down the road? Tune the engine or try out a turbo. V6 Accords and Altimas are very fast on the highway. The same basics can apply to the manual Honda Civic Si, Toyota Celica, and Acura RSX, but these three are actually much more capable cars that can easily get out of hand for first time car drivers. A Cobalt SS/PontiacSaturn Ion and Neon srt4 is fine, but they are very typical gm/dodgey quality. Non-STi Imprezas and Mitsubishi Eclipse/Lancers are great but you gotta make sure you do the proper engine maintenance. Miata is fine if you’re short and have one with no rust for cheap. 350z’s, Genesis Coupe, and G35’s definitely need drivers with more self control, those RWD things can be wild out on the streets. They aren’t as unforgiving as a Mustang or MR2 but can still initiate great drifts breaking loose with skilled drivers.
My first car was a brz, highly modifiable, and it's been reliable. Since I've bought it nothing has ever broken and it's a great driver car and not crazy horsepower
My first first car is an accord 2002 and it honestly is a really nice car for my basic driving and learning and getting my experience, but I’m saving up for a g37 coupe
I'd say just get the cheapest mode of transportation you can get, disregard everything but price, and survive with a cheap craigslist car for a few years until you can buy something you actually like. Which in my case would be more or less limited to just Lotuses.
I'm 20 and have a WRX STi and a Miata and let me tell you insurance is disgusting for my WRX, $6000 a year (Canadian) and my Miata....well...it's $94 a YEAR. Expensive car, expensive insurance. Just get a cheap car...

My first car was also a 2001 Corolla, probably the best car i would ever own, that car never broke down on me, it has around 350k miles
@@PEPE7550 Corollas literally last forever as long as you keep up with oil changes. Haha I sold my corolla to my gf's brother and he's still driving it to this day.
8:35, just a reminder for me. Just subbed man ! I'm 15 and your helping me a lot with what car I want
My first car was a Chrysler Sebring that was a mistake to buy but now I happily own not 1 but 2 cars a Honda s2000 and a Honda civic
That’s why I am going to get a mx 5 as my first car soon. I want a fun car as my first car.
good man
You guys should totally do a “best second car to buy” little bit higher difficulty, more complex etc.

Unfortunatly I don't have the ST but I love my little mk5 1.6
These seriously the first cars people get in the us?????? In England, it’s either a fiesta, polo or a corsa
@Frank Olivieri But a Polo is not a Golf. They are 2 complete different models by VW.
I bought a v6 mustang as my first and current car
DarkestKnight2424 alright then, if u did that in the uk you’ll at least be paying 10k insurance for first year
@@tagapiouplayz3737 That's a lot for just insurance.
C h a i yeah it is, that’s why we in the uk are screwed to buying 1 litre cars
My first (and current) car is a Mk4 Jetta 1.8t. It's a fun little car to whip around and they can last for a long time.
Fiesta ST hell yes. Looking forward to your " So you want a..." on it!
My first car was an 02 RSX 5 speed with 252k miles. It was a phenomenal first car and I truly enjoyed every second in it. Sadly, the clutch died and repairs started to add up so I got rid of it and got an 04 Civic with 163k miles. That car is awesome and I love it so much.
"Honda Civics are incapable of dying!"
Head Gasket:
"YOU SURE ABOUT THAT?"
Ive seen one with a cracked head. Still ran. But was puking oil everywhere
I like my 01 IS300, pretty cool car. U can have a manual five speed RWD sedan for a reasonable price. And u get the super reliable NA 2jz.
Should have had LS400 in the list. I love mine. Reliable enough to easily see 500k, good gas mileage, plenty of V8 power, rwd, timeless looks, 4 doors for more FRIENDS, easily modifiable with wheels, exhaust, suspension, and hella VIP exterior mods.
Sam Bonney fuck yeah someone said it ! The 1uz are amazing engines
lol watching this after buying a Forester as my first project car two weeks ago
First car - 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer ES. Whopping 70hp at the wheels probably. Second car: 2019 WRX Sport :D
vDymatize So you are going on the wrong direction...

My first car was a 1998 328i. It was fun to drive and modify, and i'm hoping to get another soon.
ive been planning to get one for my first car because ive always loved them, would you still say its a viable daily(id be the one working on it all that jazz)
My first car is a 94' sc300 and I love it 💝
My first car was a 1999 Mitsubishi Montero Sport all wheel drive Limited.
Just bought a 2005 Subaru Legacy GT. This thing is such a sleeper!
My first car and favorite mod car still is a 2013-2016 Scion FR-S. Mines a 2013 and the options for mods are so high that you can always find something to work in the car.
First car was a 2019 fiesta st. And i must say..it became my dream car. Fiesta boys are a breed of their own haha iv become a weirdo in traffic myself. But trust me..this is one of the funnest car u will ever drive in your life! Ul be walking around making your fiesta's noises like waaaaap ssssspshhhhh, ssssspshshhhh, pap pap

Best cars to buy is Toyota camry Toyota Corolla, and Honda Accord Honda Civic
Point A to Point B cars.. Has no spirit whatsoever
I agree with the Honda Accord
I got a v6 accord for cheap in almost perfect condition besides paint for 1400 and its pretty dope and fast for a "first" car
V6 Camrys and Accords are killer fun though. They're boats but they're still fun to drive (fun as in funny when you reach limits).
They're like those early 2000s GM fwd cars with the 3800 engine. Nobody really cares about those cars but for a few people it's a nice reliable car.
I got a 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse GS as my first car. Got a great deal and it's a nice looking car imo
This is my first time ever really looking into cars especially because I have to pay for my own first car soon. And I’m not a car person but this channel is the best way to get into becoming a car person. Especially to pick out the best first car for me. thanks so much!
this video is for people who are looking into sport cars. If u want a sports car. great for u
Just bought my first car, 2017 Mazda 3 Hatchback. Super happy with it!
Vince Haddan I love those cars man theyre hella dope
Congratulations 🙏
1st car was a 1980 Honda Civic that was in less than ideal condition. It was a load of fun and got me into modifying and fixing cars and without it I wouldn't own my Supra! Everyones gotta start somewhere! You should do a video for best daily drivers too. Also...Hi Alex, see you on Sunday!
"It won't be a Porsche"
The entire 924 line: Am I a joke to you?
My first car was a 1986 Toyota AE86, bought it for $4k, GTS hatch and everything. Damn I miss that car, I'm saving up for another one tho! Wish me luck!
Do you have a new one and if you do what did it cost
My 1st car is my 2013 scion frs. Bought it on impulse and not once regret it. Its slow af due to its torque dip, but handles so well and the aftermarket parts are endless. Learned manual in that car too. Very smooth light clutch and precise shifting throws.
Same I bought a 2013 FR-S 6MT a few weeks ago as my first car and it's a great car that many people overlook as a choice for their first vehicle.

It's a pet peeve of mine when people put Type R badges on their Type S RSX's. Or Skyline badge on their G35.
Well the g35s are technically skylines, but yeah I agree about the type r badges
Or M3 badges on 320is or GTI badges on a polo bluemotion.
I'd say just get the cheapest mode of transportation you can get, disregard everything but price, and survive with a cheap craigslist car for a few years until you can buy something you actually like. Which in my case would be more or less limited to just Lotuses.
my first car was a 91 miata that my friend crashed into his own car with 2 months ago

@@SHANELMUSIC Lmaooooo what a pathetic fucking comment. You're clearly trying to be all edgy and cool but that may be hands down one of the dumbest things someone has ever said to me
Kyezie131 did you know in Australia it’s not mandatory to get insurance? Some people live in different countrys’ and have different laws. I live in Canada, and I also live in Australia as well. Mk4 golf gti 1.8t or the vr6 even the 2.0 can be fun
Ethan Lundeen nah. They’re too involved man. I’m a first time owner and I’ve got a mk4 gli 1.8t In manual. Rear main seal blew, every damn engine related sensor went out. Spark plugs foul and cause misfires fast as fuck. Only works out if you can work on your own shit, the 2.0 is a better bet for reliability, not fun, I love my 1.8t but shes been trouble for sure.
Mk4 gti was my first car 1.8t to be specific but fortunately I had some good luck with it but you have to be a lil more aware on general maintenance on these plus they have some wierd electric issues

I kinda wanted a vr6 but ended up getting a super clean mk5 GTI with a 6spd manual and oh man it's fun.
