The only reliable cars on this list is the 86/brz and S2000. For example: The 370Z has issues with a plastic fuel pump, brake master cylinder issues and steering wheel locks. I own one. The GTO has issues with oil dilution and fuel lines causing fires on the trim. Mustang has that shoddy 6 speed trans that is currently under a law suit for being designed to break.
I wanted a RELIABLE "sports car" or something really cool for daily driving and looked all over last month. I ending up going with a nice MKIII Toyota Supra. Not exactly sure why he overlooked Toyota in this list, but I did NOT want to mess around with domestic. It's more of a GT, than sports car, but It's probably more upgradable than most of these he talked about. I'm perfectly fine with my NA model though. It's a fun car and it looks almost like nothing else on the road. The head gasket has been changed so it should be good to go for a very long time.
5th gen camaros are coming down in price and use the same LS3 (if buying manual, L99 if auto) as the C6 corvette. You get that LS durability in a car that's made in 2010-15, so it's kinda new in the grand scheme of things, plus, it's crazy easy to work on if you need to. Have you checked for a g8 Gt idk if it’ll be better but it is a 4 door so might help
@@bransykora4462 no I haven't. The issue with the GTO is that all the parts are imported from Australia so they're very expensive to repair after an accident and a lot of them end up just being totaled because it costs too much to get replacement parts. It's not so much that theyre a rear wheel drive v8 coupe but that they're probably going to have to write off the whole car for a fairly minor collision.

Every s2k for sale in Canada is minimum 30k, I'm honestly getting kind of tired of people saying they can be budget sports cars, every other car on this list I could buy for 10k cheaper at least
It's a shame that rarely do U.S. "budget" lists match the Canadian market. Lots of vehicles are just absurdly overpriced.
Damn guys, this was a really well made video. The structure and delivery of the content was super clean. Liking the way y’all always improving on your vids.
My FR-S was so incredibly reliable, but then it spun a bearing at 92k miles on my way to work. It was very well maintained and rarely beat on. After seeing how common this is, I really don’t think it should’ve made the list.
This happened to me too but it’s covered by the dealership as a manufacturer defect. Not all of them have it luckily and if it happens they will repair it for free

I can't speak for everyone here, but my focus st has been extremely fun and the most reliable vehicle I've ever owned. Coming up on 3 years of ownership without a single problem. My ONLY gripe is the fact that its FWD. Other than that, its an absolutely amazing car that doesn't get the credit it deserves.
My FoST is by far the best car I've owned. Interior and exterior and power is super nice in comparison to alot in its class. I got the pre facelift (13) and I'd honestly never get rid of her. They did ruin the look with the facelift I think though. The catfish grille in 13/14 is aggressive yet hilarious to look at. Can't hate a car you're too busy laughing at 🤷🏽♂️😂
FoSTs are awesome but reliable?!? Those head gaskets are notorious for being one of the worst in the industry
02-06 Acura rsx-s and 04-08 tl of course

My online bud with a 2017 says the same. I went with an 88' Supra myself. His seems like a really nice car and hell we both got Toyotas so not sure why either isn't on this list.
Too bad the cheapest one I found was $10k and it needs work. I'd get one but people are nuts for these things. Not to mention a miata is faster stock vs stock. About 2 seconds faster to 60 actually lol. If the brz dropped to at least like 5k with some minimal work needed it'd be a way more feasible option. Shit I'd almost rather get a dart rallye. The 1.4 turbo can handle a good amount of power. The only problem is the manual transmissions suck ass.
@@jerodwolford2743 Picked up my NA/Auto Supra from $8K recently. That's certainly a lot for one of those but only 115K and it's in excellent shape. They are certainly GT cars, not sports cars, waaay too heavy for that. Unlike the Miata though, you can drop a completely absurd amount of power into a Supra if you want to go that route.
