I doubt that's true because it seems like they tried to compete by just adding high performance parts for a lower amount but couldn't cause they realize they need to dump more money in to put in higher quality parts as an M. Lexus can't compete with the top 3 by using cheap Toyota parts. They have to build higher quality parts that handle more load and stress to compete with the high quality 3 series alone. Look at the RC-F, it now competes with the M4. Anyways, the e92 m3 is reliable and I know because I own a competition pack M3. Almost 70k miles and it is still on factory original parts.
The M3 is just a better buy in almost every way.
2015 5.0.....435 hp 400tq daily driver with plenty of power and fun. 2nd choice would be a 2008+ c6 corvette with the ls3.....both the mustang and vette being manuals.
2012-2013 Audi TTRS, Stickshift only, 2.5 liter turbo 5 cylinder. Can find them for 25k!
Looks like everyone overlooks the 07-09 Jaguar XKR, fantastic styling, growling V8, well adorned
Me 😬😬😬 the moment Ed said Car Trek 2 is coming soon. 🔥
I'd go with Alex Petrosyan! The aftermarket support for the 2015 Mustang beats all the other choices hands down.
Robert G thanks bro I love my car
Rise and shine it's VinWiki and coffee time!!! Man I can't wait to see that AMG fly!! 😂
The one I went with of course, an E82. 09 BMW 135i, twin turbo, 6 speed manual, rwd. 400whp with a simple tune from your cell phone with a stock bottom end that handles 800hp with proper maintenance.
RS4 and cts v guys got it right. Id have either of those. However, I'm not one to buy cars with high miles or cars that need immediate work. I'd have an audi S4 or S5 with the 4.2L V8 and of course a 6 speed. Currently drive an '06 wrx and unfortunately it is proving to be super reliable so it will probably be a few years before I can buy my audi.
LOVE my 08 cayman S picked up for 22k 75k odo. RELIABLE. Fun. Manual. Practical. (Two trunks) Stands out. (At least in my area) Beautiful. (IMO) EXTREMELY satisfying to drive quickly.
The one I already own....Honda S2000
Correct!
I’ve always wanted to drive one of those. I hear they’re amazing
@@brandondannys-menary3678 YES! It's not my daily, but it's my daily.
15:28 big plus for bugeyed imprezas in background! Such underappreciated front end. With that rumble and front bumper lip such a menacing looking car.
Manual e92 m3 all day!! Perfect all rounder
Thumbs up to Travis Bell that would buy the buick grand national regal. I still have mine. I never think about getting rid of it. Always brings endless smiles to my face on those beautiful days.
Finally one that's reasonable for the average person.
I agree 100% with the last woman’s pic. 98-02 trans Am WS6. There is some undefinable quality about these cars that I just love. I was involved in a wreck that resulted in total vision loss while in one of these vehicles, and I still love them. I am either a true car guy, or an idiot…
16:43 "what, bro what are you talking about?"
5:44 Shawn knows what hes talking about, the 300zx is such an underrated car.
It was futuristic for its time and even now its stunning to look at and can often be found for criminally low numbers.!!
$1000 z32 vert owner here. Manual swap(1k), full suspension (1k), engine work with pulleys, rad, injector swap to tt(1k), still need to do paint but I'm doing that myself so about another 1k. I'm friends with the with the yeti cooler amg, 210hp versus 7something and I still pull on anything that has turns
Maserati: *cries in reliability*
Yeah there's a reason you can buy them for 15-20k a few years old when they were originally 80-100k. They are garbage, go buy a Lexus if you want everlasting quality. ISF was probably the best option on this list
2004-2006 Pontiac GTO was not mentioned.
LS1 or LS2, 6 speed, independent rear, very comfortable seats, and available in showroom new condition for $20k. I bought a supercharged 2005 in the right color in 2015 for $18k
I’d go with an 03-04 cobra, but I might be a little biased
Yes or c5 zo6
Here’s a huge huge vote for this episode’s theme music. I can’t stand the normal VW theme, but I love this theme. It is loud, raw, and has hints of old modern sounds-exactly the sort of mix that goes with the topics at hand.
14:30 tell me where I can find a 2004 SRT10 viper for 25k and sign my name right by it.
Ferreti on something today lol
1lamborghinimercialagoSVfan I’m with you - cheapest I’ve seen that looked somewhat ok was a rebuilt title for like $28k - low-mid 30s seems would be cheapest on the market these days...!
I agree . I see SRT or GTS Vipers for $33 to $38 not $25
There's one in the US for under 25k right now. It also has 10k worth of damage lol
The Audi RS-A4 is probably the top choice!!
The car Ed bought is a Bentley Continental gt 2005/2006 mark my words
Or a pre-2006 S65/CL65.
So glad someone mentioned an RS4
I'll take a C4 ZR1 please!
Very cool choice.
In 2017 I bought a 2013 2SS 1LE camaro with the LS3 V8, 26k miles certified pre owned. 25k. Amazing daily/weekend car for the price!
You should do “what is their dream 3 car garage”
Thanks for letting me add my opinion. I think this was the hardest challenge because so many good cars can be bought for $25,000!
Finally they're doing my budge...... HOLY CRAP IT'S THE IDOL FROM LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE
Would definitely go for the 997 if at all possible. RS4 and 987 Cayman are good alternatives.
E92 all day
Love this series but I would include, regardless of price point 5 years of owner maintenance. Some of these picks will cost as much as the purchase price for repairs!
Do “What’s the best car to buy for a million dollars” that would be a really interesting video
That was already the plan for next week!
VINwiki Great!
Love the variety of answers, allows the range to so wide open
Without watching the video yet 2004 corvette Z06
Enough said.
Javier Vazquez I was going to say a C6 Z06 with 100k miles. The C8 has caused C6Z’s to sell in the 25k-35k range all day.
Joseph LaMonica true true. More power I just like the C5 more. I like that sleek look
2006 S65 AMG guy hit the nail right on the head.
No one mentioned the 03-04 mustang cobra and I’m highly disappointed.
for me it would be the absolute cleanest 97-06 wrangler money can buy. Preferably close to stock so I can add the lift, tires, locker, wheels, sliders, winch, and bumpers of my choice.
Pls do vintage and classics
Poncho FTW! Just sold my 99 WS6 Formula. 1 of 162 built that year. 6 speed, T Tops, Borla exhaust. I miss it already...
I'd buy a Grand National.
I live in southern California and most people here at uncultured an closed minded. They all hate manuals or never give it a chance. I'm so glad all these people say and acknowledge how fun it is
I'd have what I have at the moment, M3 E9X DCT, Audi RS5 and RS6 V10. Maybe an M5 F10.
FYI: For performance, give a sport bike a try. For example, the Kawi ZX14R comes with a 3 year warranty for under $16k new. 9.5 sec -144 MPH for a quarter-mile, plus excellent handling in the corners. Newer designs from most manufacturers can exceed these values.
16:25 I feel ashamed to say that the way she was talking about modifying the trans am, turned me on.
John Ficarra had an Aquabats Super Show poster in the background this guy is amazing
E92 M3
My fav vinwiki episode! Thank you
