Sorry to any GT fanboys😬😂 That car's grown on me a lot in the last half a year but I just couldn't get myself to have it be the top official one here with that price
yeah, agreed...gt's utilize 32 valve dohc engines and this puts them at an advantage over ohv SS's, and scatpacks..they have more torque top end, and this is what put crowds at risk when a driver is inexperienced since you cannot gun them alot of times like you could a 392 or 6.2 ss and not suffer the repercussions.....the mustang gt's engine design is a winner if you're willing to break the bank, and also willing to spend money on gas...same time tho, a cheap 12-14 genesis 5.0 is an utter beast and also is 32 dohc engine but less than 30k...newer g80's are too heavy tho at 4500 pounds...
Price shouldn't matter when your title is fastest American V6s. Don't know why people get there panties in a wad over the price of a hand built super car.
I owned a V6 Camaro and now own the V8, and Im not gonna lie the V6 is more nimble as it is lighter but the V8 is just a second faster 0-60. I had a 2011. Got 32 mpg highway at 80mph, sounded great, and was a beast over 3500 rpm. Only complaint about the engine was you had to floor it to get any performance. Below 3500rpm, and it felt like an anemic 4 cylinder. Probably explained the great gas mileage.

Not a fan of the V-6 but BMW and Toyota have already shown that you can get tons of power from a straight 6. Even the Ford Barra could handle a 1000hp with a stock bottom end. There smoother, lighter, and they handle better in the twisties because of the weight distribution.

Too bad too many people bought Ford, Chevy and Dodge V6 (and V8) cars while the best overall option Cadillacs were highly neglected (‘old man car’ and such stereotypes). Now we look at the used car market and there’s 1000’s of Mustangs for sale, way fewer Camaros but so so few Caddies.
i had a '21 Challenger GT awd, and the 0-60 taking 6+sec is huge cap. the fastest 0-60 i did was i think 5.3 - 5.6 seconds, stock tires and did it randomly so basically not perfect conditions. i miss that car, decent power, good looks and good fun.
My b man, I try to only ever look at tested times from Car&Driver or MotorTrend and that was the time C&D said they got. Tbh though I was pretty surprised when I saw it was above 6, I thought those would've been on par with the 6 Camaros
I own a 16 ATSV coupe auto. It’s got a ZZP remote tune and it’s a super quick car. 10sec 1/4 mile times are possible with small weight reduction and a good set of drag radials.

Its kind of funny how 0-60 in 7 seconds is considered slow in this day and age when that was actually fast in the early 2000s... i honestly wouldnt complain if i had v6 charger/challenger that could give mine and wifes '04 durango (5.7l v8) a run for its money. @SpeedyB2K I had that car back in college bud, it's not 5 seconds 0-60 keep lying to yourself. And I wouldn't call it fast either. A v6 camaro with 305 hp does 0-60 in 5 seconds. The malibu wouldn't touch it

I'm a huge fan of the Turbocharged/ Supercharged 3800 V6 setup. Reliable, quick, and Reliable! I've seen them put into a little Pontiac Fiero putting down a respectable 250 horses in a car that weighs less than 3000 lbs. It's my humble opinion that if Pontiac would have just used that setup stock, we might have seen a good car from them besides the Vibe/really a Toyota.
Nice, but i have never been a fan of turbos. I really feel that a Supercharger is where its at. The turbos make so much heat... and then you have 2 of them. Ive also never known turbos to last very long without major servicing or replacement.
i have a 16 ats4 none V 3.6 8 speed auto coupe, man its quick AF for what it is and dodges cones with some of the best. paid 25k for a car with 44000 miles on it, wicked packages for sure
Been looking for a 2019 Pedestal Edition, happy it made your list untill your honorable mention, '87 T-Type Turbo. I've haven't had mine out since my college kids were in kindergarten. Sucker for a coupe. 👍🏽, never even looked at a Lincoln, bigger tires, Audi looks, what a sleeper! Nicely done.
those lincoln’s remind me of an XF jag and a genesis . Those cadi’s are so good looking, i just can’t stand gm. Those 2020+ automatic V6 challengers ACTUALLY feel faster than a manual 5.7L just a little bit older getting to have driven both and throw them around a bit. I love the V6 stangs , wish they had the 3.5tt, they have like no turbo lag , it feels great. If you have not driven a SHO, it feels like someone stuck a 6.7 Turbo diesel in a 2 door awd f:150 when you tune them. Jerky as all h** like a track hawk. I almost bought a 15’ 750LI with 50k miles with the twin turbo 8 cyl and it just oddly didn’t offer as much as the taurus did and i ended up spending a lot less.
Frustrating that someone at GM or Cadillac thought offering only a ~660hp supercharged V8 or a ~470hp turbocharged V6 was the way to go with the CTx-V Blackwing lineup. How about the C8 V8 LT2 engine (with a manual option of course) for simplicities sake. Probably about the same price as the CT4 Blackwing since turbos are complicated engines vs. a simpler V8.
missed a great opportunity to put the chevy impala on here, 07-13 models are quite a force to be reckoned with, they can go toe to toe with some v8 cars and they push out 305 with 262lbs ft of torque hp stock with a V6 engine, mine is 3.6 L and comes pre-tuned for e85 and not only that but can hit every bit of 140 mph no problem 😅 but you got a great list tho 👌
You got awfully close to what I chose as the best on-balance. The Cadillac ATS (non-V) 3.6. Same chassis as the 6th-gen Camaro, same engine, and inexplicably it's cheaper on the used market. An oft-overlooked benefit of the LFX/LGX is that they also make full power on 87 octane. It's even what GM recommends in the manual.
Personally, I'd prefer a car or truck with a small V8 over a turbocharged six or four cylinder any day. Bring back the baby V8's like the Ford 260 or 289, or the Chevy 283. And although I don't care for Mopar, their 318 V8 motors were known to perform quite well.
If your going with older v6 cars: how about the 1989 oldsmobile cutless coupe with a v6 twin turbo, or how about a 1993 Plymouth Sundance Duster- with the 3.0L minivan engine backed by a 5speed manual... or the 1990's Dodge Avenger with a 2.7L V6... or the Chrysler SRT-6 Crossfire in the mid-2000's?... some honorable mentions in the domestic cars.
Pretty decent video, but I don't think turbos should be compared to naturally aspirated cars. Because if you add a turbo or a supercharger to a "regular" v6 you'll instantly make big improvements to its numbers and times.
That's a fair point. I didn't wanna dial it down too much cause I thought it'd just be an interesting mixed list but maybe an NA V6 video should be something for the future🙏
I have a V6 Mustang. You can get pretty good power out of them with a turbo, and E85. Fun car with cheap insurance. I think that a large single exhaust sounds best for a V6.

My first car was a 1989 Super Coupe. It was so much fun that as soon as I finished school, I flew across the country to pick up a mint 1995 model. Both were manuals, and a blast to drive.
I bought a new 93 Super Coupe
I had a 2018 ATS-V… worst decision ever was getting rid of it. I loved that car
I love that you threw the Grand National in at the end.
This is a good list. Cadillac has come a long way since the 80s and 90s.
Agreed! I really love what they're comin out with
Explorer ST, Edge ST, Syclone/Typhoon, Thunderbird SC, Contour SVT
I’m surprised the G37 wasn’t listed on here.
I only kept American cars on here

I bought my 2017 ATS-V in 2020 and I plan on keeping it forever.
Stage one tune with drop in aFe filters has the bhp up to 500 at the wheels now.
Make the switch to e85 and ya like 550-600hp
That sounds wild! Awesome car man🙏
Too bad too many people bought Ford, Chevy and Dodge V6 (and V8) cars while the best overall option Cadillacs were highly neglected (‘old man car’ and such stereotypes).
Now we look at the used car market and there’s 1000’s of Mustangs for sale, way fewer Camaros but so so few Caddies.
@@georgevesta1703 we make 630whp and ~700whp on E85 with our ATS-V's.

i miss that car, decent power, good looks and good fun.
My b man, I try to only ever look at tested times from Car&Driver or MotorTrend and that was the time C&D said they got. Tbh though I was pretty surprised when I saw it was above 6, I thought those would've been on par with the 6 Camaros

The 3.7 V-6 actually made its debut on the 2011 Mustang. I know because I own one. Great little engine!
You're right about that, i'm not sure why I didn't include the 11s and 12s. I also had an S197 for about 5 years lol
The 11 and the 12 had 305hp
With Cadillac the stock 3.6 in the XTS is quick, it's tuned exactly like the Camaro.
I’m glad you added the Ford Fusion sport. I would’ve recommend it as an honorable mention otherwise. I own a 2017 sport and they are definitely a fun car to drive. I do also know winding road magazine was able to clock a 4.99s 0-60 stock on the street in a 2017 sport
When I first heard about em I was really surprised with how quick they are and that's nuts. I also really like the shape of the newer Fusions for some reason, my brother in law had a blue base model years ago
@@LibertyDrives yeah they are great cars. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking into getting a cheap sleeper. And I also really like the new fusion design especially the sport, which they made a little more aggressive in the front and gave real quad exhaust tips!

Good stuff, just curious as to why you didn’t include 1/4 mile times… that’s the bench mark to tell fast from slow.
Hey man, sorry, I don't know why I'm only just seeing this but that's a great idea. Definitely should keep that in mind for future videos. Thank you!
I liked this list. A lot of these are great options for a daily or for a small family with a good bit of speed. Thanks for sharing.
Of course brotha, thank you very much!🙏
Honda 2013-2016 V6 . Normally aspirated, 87 octane, 34 miles per gallon if you keep it around 70 mph. Honda quality, low maintenance, legendary resale value, Last of the 2 door Accords O-60 5.6 with the 6 speed auto. Including turbos in with the normal asperated engines is like guys competing in women's sports.
I use to own a 79 dodge Aspen wagon with the 225 slant 6 not sure what the HP was but it do 120mph not to shabby for an old station wagon 😊
I mean they aren’t “cars” but the GMC Cyclone and Typhoon are impressive V6 performers, especially for the era… Pretty good list man!

But you redeemed yourself!!!
I was thinking how could he not mentioned the most iconic legendary V6 of them all!!!
The Buick Grand national and the gnx!!!!!
And of course the GMC cyclones and typhoons!!
I can’t lie I clicked on this waiting to see my SHO lol but nice production and commentary dude. Gained a new sub👍🏻
Aye thank you brotha😂🙏 You've got one awesome ride and I appreciate that
Its kind of funny how 0-60 in 7 seconds is considered slow in this day and age when that was actually fast in the early 2000s... i honestly wouldnt complain if i had v6 charger/challenger that could give mine and wifes '04 durango (5.7l v8) a run for its money. Id be rather impressed actually, just my $0.02. :)

3.6l LY7 V6 on a 2009 Chevy Malibu does a 5 second 0-60 stock, costed me 7,500 for a one owner 09’ LTZed w/ 75k miles, still the fastest V6 front wheel drive in the road 🤷♂️
More like 6.5/7 seconds 😅 nice try
@ more like 5 seconds bud, good try 🤡
@SpeedyB2K I had that car back in college bud, it's not 5 seconds 0-60 keep lying to yourself. And I wouldn't call it fast either. A v6 camaro with 305 hp does 0-60 in 5 seconds. The malibu wouldn't touch it
@ I own one bud, watch the 0-60 and then you'll realize how wrong you really are. No front wheel drive non-turbo V6 is beating my Malibu.

Aye thank you very much brotha!!🙏 I appreciate that and best of luck with gettin your new ride💪
Acura NSX should be top of this list. American made, under $200k and runs mid 10’s. 2.9 0-60.
The Nissan Infinity Q50 and Q60 have twin turbos and are fast. 400 HP and 0 to 60 in under 5 seconds. Fun to drive.
@Jack-fr9bk it’s not a V6 and is much more expensive. But yes it is faster.
@Jack-fr9bk And much more expensive.
@Jack-fr9bkIn 2025 you'll get 18k. That's why BMW isn't a good value, but it still might be worth it, who knows,
@Jack-fr9bk Yeah, probably.
I wouldn't mind a Q60 Red Sport, but it's too one-dimensional and the interior is old.
My C5 Corvette gets 30 mpg highway, with a built LS1 V8. I'm happy with that and it's still a V8.
That's wild! I'd be very happy with that😂

Thank you very much, I appreciate that man! The GN's are awesome but the color on those Pedestal Editions is unreal. I love it
Smaller engines with a turbo tend to prematurely wear out timing chains because of the excess stress.
Syclone! It had a 0-60 of 4.3, if you are gonna mention the Grand National then why not the Syclone?
those lincoln’s remind me of an XF jag and a genesis .
Ford Tbird SC 1989-95 are rare and happen to have one ...😅
missed a great opportunity to put the chevy impala on here, 07-13 models are quite a force to be reckoned with, they can go toe to toe with some v8 cars and they push out 305 with 262lbs ft of torque hp stock with a V6 engine, mine is 3.6 L and comes pre-tuned for e85 and not only that but can hit every bit of 140 mph no problem 😅 but you got a great list tho 👌
"First of all, you're stupid," HAD ME ROLLING.
For half a second while reading this, I thought you were hittin me with that😂😂🙏
I can’t find the 3.0 0-60 MT time for the ATS-V. I saw 3.8 maybe? And Zero to 60 doesn’t show a 3.0 time.
The Genesis G70 3.5TT should be on this list.
Thanks for mentioning the GN!😎
Absolutely!😂🙏
I own an SHO and I LOVE it
They seem like awesome cars!
I love how the Buick Grand National came in and stole the show
I have a V6 Mustang. You can get pretty good power out of them with a turbo, and E85. Fun car with cheap insurance. I think that a large single exhaust sounds best for a V6.
Never seen a turbo V6 stang but it sounds like a pretty wild ride😂
@@LibertyDrives Prcharger supercharger kits are available.
