Recently dropped big cash on a 2019 SGS with two-tone paint and completely agree with your 5 changes. I'll add 2 more that wouldn't cost Harley much money. 1 - cover up the fugly front axle nuts with black caps. 2 - put something better than the $.99 grips on the bars. I understand they want you at the parts counter immediately (HD = Hundred Dollars), but when you drop $30K on a bike you should get a little more.
r ypma spot on! I didn’t leave the dealership until the crap grips were replaced! I’m still not sure I made the best decision buying a Harley when the Indian Cheiftain clearly was more for the money
I own a 2019 HD SGS. Completed several mods to personalize my ride. Klock Werks Wind screen, Mustang seat, Legend shocks, Street Cannon mufflers with full performance exhaust and Stage I SE tune, Smart Tune Pro tuner, KST 12 inch bars, heated grips, highway pegs...not done yet... Enjoy
Before I picked up my 18 SG 115 Anniversary edition I had them do a stage one, wim module, heated grips, and the antenna in the faring. Picked up some Ciro3d front turn signals and rear lights as well. Still working on getting the LED headlight.
That's a no brainier question. I bought a new 16 road glide ultra. Since then I have spent a lot of up grading it. That's the Harley Corp plan all along.
Good video bud. I watched a lot of your gun videos so the motorcycle videos is great. I’m working on something similar myself. What camera and mic do you use?
Change the fairing to a fixed Shark nose! Use 13” shocks in the rear, make Bluetooth really work from the factory. Docking hardware standard; taller windshield and some accommodations for taller riders. Tether the gas cap. Lift out storage tray in saddlebag.
And the Indian chieftain is not a harley davidson ride what you want but but im not riding a( Polaris) for that kind of cash no matter what all it comes stock with bottom line they can call it what they want its not a real Indian and its damn sure not a harley
Chris M not sure what you think is a real indian and whats not but i can tel you you get what you pay for from an indian. So i agree with you..indian is most definitely not a harley davidson lol.
The lack of power locking bags and forks on non-CVO models is one of my big complaints about the touring models... the reason why I say that is because there is absolutely no option to add it after the fact either like there is with everything else on the bike, there is not even any 3rd party aftermarket options for this. Why is power locking bags such an exclusive thing that's only reserved for CVO models... there is even options for the 117 motor with a stage 3 or 4 kit but no power locking bags.
Even though I'd never buy the special for the fact that it's a blacked out look which has never and probably will never be my style I agree with you on everything but the the phone capable to tie into the bike like you can with most cars these days but that's my personal preference on how I ride I do it to except the cellphone and the whole social gatherness I like the CB option so you can ride with a group and communicate on things like gas and dangers in the road and that's about it but I also love my music so I have to have tunes coming from the speakers but as far as the blacked out look everything should be black and I thought they all came with LED light at my local dealership they do which just may be something they do and jack the price and automatic locks should have been a thing with Rushmore project I'm surprised it didnt happen then anyway that's just my comment stay save and always watch for those who are not watching for you.
@@snakebite6511 no not many people use a CB and more most people use sena bluetooth headsets which is usually only good with full face helmets which I don't wear and with them when you're not talking to each other its just dead air or you hear what they hear and I prefer to listen to my music from the speakers not from a headset so with the CB you you have to hit a button to communicate back and forth so the conversation becomes limited to things like I need gas or giving directions not last night I got drunk and went home with a 2 that I swore was 10 or conversations about the area we are in and past trips we had there on other bike rides like you would do riding with someone in a car. thats why I personally prefer a CB on a bike
There is only one thing I dislike in this new SG model: the chromed parts disapeared almost completely. I think every HD should maintain the tradition. It should return to chrome.
there are so many options out there that people want to add their own style to the bike. Ive seen people add a $50 LED headlight and ive seen people add $700 LED headlight. Part of owning a Harley is having the ability to change anything i want to anything i want and make it work for me. Personally, i like Harley just the way it is and being able to add anything
People need to stop whining about what they think Harley should or should not have. I own 3 Harley's, 2009 Rocker C, 2014 Dyna Wide Glide & 2021 Street Glide. Part of the enjoyment is personalizing each bike to my taste and not have it look like everyone else's. Harley is a "For Profit" business, they make the best motorcycle around which is why we buy them, but to also have the ability to upgrade and personalize to anything we want, i dont want my Harley to look just like the guy across the street There is a reason i dont ever buy "Special" models, id rather use the money to personalize and get what i want, i dont need the 114, there isn't much difference between the 114 and 107 anyway. Whether you buy a Street Glide standard or Special, you still need to upgrade the shocks, seat, full exhaust (headers & mufflers) air filter and it still needs a tuner so to me, the special is a waste of money
A street glide standard cost 23k out the door. There no reason that literally everything you named shouldn't be on every street glide for that price tag.
Seriously, you're whining about things like chrome accents and storage compartments while riding on the horrible stock Harley suspension? I finally purchased the Revo shocks for my 2017... Dude, Harley should be ashamed!

How do you like those 12 inch bars? Any protection from the wind on your hands?
Some wind but I wear riding gloves for the vibration. Heated grips also helps.
Amen brother! Don't know how many times I've looked at that compartment on the left side and thought-MAKE-IT A LITTLE STORAGE UNIT!!!
Got more out of this video than I did with the HD website. Thx.

Agree on all points especially the headlights and a 12volt charging point in one of the saddlebags
You can add that yourself for $10.
I spent 100 dollars on Amazon and switched to all leds on my street glide. Best decision ever.
Great video. You nailed it in all points. Thanks.
Keep the SG Spec Vids coming ! I own one too , Love it , but I’m trying to make it better , a little at a time
That's a no brainier question. I bought a new 16 road glide ultra. Since then I have spent a lot of up grading it. That's the Harley Corp plan all along.
The good part is no matter what you want, you can get it.
Good video bud. I watched a lot of your gun videos so the motorcycle videos is great. I’m working on something similar myself. What camera and mic do you use?

They did start putting docking hardware on in 2018
Then you buy the Road Glide Ultra
Tether the gas cap so it hangs down the side of the tank and scratches it over time?
Change the fairing to a fixed shark nose? Lmao. They already do. It’s called a road glide lol. Wow.
The biggest reason Harley doesn't do it is so you can buy their parts, add ons etc. Number on thing I hated on the Street Glide was the grips.
I get some of the things but like I said I'd buy some of these things if they could be wrapped up in the deal.
@@HegshotRides You and me both. Miss the firearms reviews
We are still putting out gun reviews regularly man. Come check out the new one I just put out
I agree with 1-4 but totally black is boring, a few chrome accents lend a little contrast. In my opinion.
Fair enough. 👍
Some people don't care to bling.
The Indian Chieftain Dark horse has all 5 standard.
Was thinking the same thing

I’m a glad it’s not a Harley! Harley is nothing but over priced fake heritage.
I get my 2020 street glide special this weekend and antenna is first to go. Add the heel shifter and visor
Looking at buying a SPS soon. What did you pay OTD and did you add any extended warranties?
My 2008 gold wing has locking bags !
I have a 2019 SGS first thing that went was the headlamp and all billet lighting. They want our freakin money

13 inch shock with a lower kit. I can hear the bumps in your voice. Get the same shock but inch taller from the eg..no more tractor.
Where can I get the willie G black gas cap cover?
There is only one thing I dislike in this new SG model: the chromed parts disapeared almost completely. I think every HD should maintain the tradition. It should return to chrome.
I strongly agree The Street glide Special should come with LED lighting , not sure but are they trying to keep the price down ?

I think LEDs, and other needed accessories are a nice profit for the dealerships, and is why they don’t come from the factory! ☹️
Yeah and some of those things I understand. It cant come with everything.
LEDs all the way around should be standard on a special model.
bro ..... please tell me where to get that Gas Cap cover??? its HOT!!!!!
You should be able to find that one from a Harley Dealer. I know I have seen stuff with the skull on wher I went
Ive been thinking about a street glide special and found your video informative. I also own an android phine but everyone caters to iPhone.
A street glide standard cost 23k out the door. There no reason that literally everything you named shouldn't be on every street glide for that price tag.
I would change the whole bike for the Road glide the real king of the road.👍👍👍
The wim module is dumb. There's no reason I shouldn't be able to pair a set of wireless headphones through bluetooth.
You can get all that stuff for a price. Hope you can ride year a round , so you can justify the money spent.
Windscreen creates too much buffeting.
Seems like Harley is putting less on the 2020’s...
paid $25k for a bagger spend thousands more for upgrades. can't justify it!
bigger motor

You lost me at LED…. Wack! Handle bars are first.
Buy an Indian, it has everything you mentioned and costs less too
Lol
Harley company is in such a death spiral, I predict they go bankrupt and fold inside of 4 or 5 years from now........
