Looking back on the replays, the first 10 seconds should never have been given to Verstappen. Norris again took a very late lunge on the outside to claim the "apex." Norris was never making the corner and had full steering lock, he counter steered it through the grass and shouts he was pushed off. Bad call but the FIA knew it would be under pressure again if they didn't give Verstappen a penalty. The 2nd one was justified though for a 10 second penalty.
Yaaa Carlos is so smart that he gave up the first position in the first corner and run out of track timely. Otherwise he might get passed by Norris in the next turn

yup, dive bomb, not hitting the apex and no chance of making the corner without going off the road. All classic signs of no intentions of making the corner, but instead, running your opponent off the road. We've been seeing this for quite a long while now and there's a reason why other F1 drivers like Kimi, Hamilton and Vettel have all labelled Verstappen dangerous.
Hass showed us that it is possible to reach the highest level, but here they managed a successful race without mistakes and with an impeccable strategy. I'm proud of both of them. I expect that in the last 4 stages that are left to be contested, they will do the same 😊
I think they amended the rules for this week. You no longer get the benefit of being first to the apex if you sent it so crazily that you didn't make the exit. In one, Max wasn't even first to the apex so that was clear. In the other, Max was first to the apex but only because he Leroy Jenkinsed into the apex with no hope of making the exit. Both well deserved penalties, not having that as a rule was bananas. Also, wonder if he's going to have a hard time breaking himself out of that habit.

yup, dive bomb, not hitting the apex and no chance of making the corner without going off the road. All classic signs of no intentions of making the corner, but instead, running your opponent off the road. We've been seeing this for quite a long while now and there's a reason why other F1 drivers like Kimi, Hamilton and Vettel have all labelled Verstappen dangerous.

Stewards left the door open for drivers to push others off the track after last week and this is the result

Luckily this time they gave swift penalties like they always should have.
I think they amended the rules for this week. You no longer get the benefit of being first to the apex if you sent it so crazily that you didn't make the exit. In one, Max wasn't even first to the apex so that was clear. In the other, Max was first to the apex but only because he Leroy Jenkinsed into the apex with no hope of making the exit.
Both well deserved penalties, not having that as a rule was bananas.
Also, wonder if he's going to have a hard time breaking himself out of that habit.
