Thinking about getting the EZ MOD for my Qanba Pearl. I was wondering though, with the EZ MOD, can I still use the blue ports on the UFB to individually wire the pushbuttons for cleaner cable management instead of using the default wires that come with the mod? Also, does the UFB only fit one way? Or can I put it the other way around where the blue terminals are facing the pushbuttons?
I just bought my first Arcade stick and was the Obsidian, and i am totally getting this board the next year, At first wasnt entirely sure if it was worth the $140 dollars, but Low latency and Switch, Xbox 360, Xbox one. change my mind. I just have a question, is this Board updatable Like if A Ps5 ever gets released, you can update compatibilty with the board? Thanks and Good LUCK!

question: if the Blue wire was for touch pad ,L3 & R3 what was the White one for? i recall you said it was for some touch pad stuff also now im confused O.o,
EDIT: NVM Touch pad tracking not working no matter for any one in the FGC ,still working touch pad was what i wanted to know.
Hey jasen, I just installed the EZ mod on my qanba obsidian and I am very happy with it. I want to install the kaimana rgb PCB, but I noticed that the UFB on the EZmod kit has the 20 pins on the other side of the board. do you know of a way i could work around this?
Jump the screw terminals on the UFB to the Kaimana. 1P to 1P, 2P to 2P, etc.
Hey Jasen, I hope this finds you well. I found this video because I was planning on buying another obsidian to mod in order to replace mine that had a fried pcb board. With Arcadeshock's WIDE variety of ways to customize the obsidian now, will this work with the astro city light up panels??? Thank you for your time

Hi Jasen, can you help please? I got a PS3/PS4 Quanba Obsidian as a gift and I was trying to mod it with a Brooks UFB board I already own. I thought it was going to be all that I needed, but sadly I ran into problems, which led me to your video. A bit bummed that I may have to spend some more cash due to the complexity of modding this stick, but I'm sure it will be all worth it in the end. Anyway, I'm interested in the EZ Mod package, however I'm a bit confused based on what I see you installing in this video versus what ArcadeShock is offering on their website. I can find the rectangular board your UFB gets attached too, however I cannot locate that other long board that gets installed at the top of the stick. Is that available? I cannot locate it anywhere and it seems you can't fully complete this mod without. I've reached out to Arcadeshock for answers, but thought I'd ask you as well for a little help.
Rodney John it’s a full kit. When you get the EZ MOD from them it comes with everything you need.
How were you able to use the original usb cable? Everything I've seen about brook boards necessitates an entirely new one
Just watch the entire video, you will see there are a lot of cross connects between the EZ MOD and the UFB Helper Board.
There is a cable that connects the ufb helper board to the ez mod board, and another connector on the ezmoe board that the original usb cord plugs in to. They are connected through this series of connections instead of using a usb directly connected to the ufb.
Hi i have an Obsidian but thinking of getting a Dragon. Do you have a EZ Mod PCB for the Dragon? Also which stock PCB do you prefer the Obsidians or the Dragons if you had a choice.Thanks
I prefer neither, tbh. The Dragon isn't EZ MOD compatible. Not to the level I want it to be so it looks right and functions well. Its very over priced for what I think its a lot of gimmick and no bite. If you want to drop some cash on a great fight stick that is future proof, get a Panzer Fight Stick.
sorry if this appears redundant in asking; but will there be a EZ mod for the Dragon in the future? I already have one however i'm pretty sure my stock fight-board is defective. I've already replaced the USB 3 times and it continues to just goes out and doesn't turn back on for once it begins acting up for a period, I'm beginning to think my only options are a new fight-board or collect dust.
Niko K.A Niko K.A i would fit a Brook UFB in it. Im sure you can fit it in there. Ok you might lose the LED functionality but you can get them working another way.
No. I will NOT be developing one in the future. As I stated above, it will take a lot of time and I'm certain its nearly impossible to maintain the stock look with an EZ MOD because of the gimmicky cover panels inside that severely limit options. I'd say reach out to Qanba support and ask for help, however, they have proven that their service is unreliable. Specifically, ask Doc Jamma re: his Obsidian that was shocking him. If you are brave and want to do surgery on the Dragon to add a UFB, plan on a lot of soldering to surface points on the PCB so you can route wires to the UFB.
Hey, Jasen! Hope you are well! QQ: I see on FocusAttack that is says that your EZ MOD is compatible with the new UP5 upgrade. How would I install considering the port used to connect the UFB to the UP5 is taken up by the connection to the other EZ Mod board at the top of the unit. Is there an easy thing I'm not seeing?

@@vysethebold - interesting FA is talking about my EZ MOD since I don't do business with them. But I am glad you got the answers you need. Disconnecting that one wire and connecting the PS5 upgrade chip is easy. I think I even have a quick video on it.

I don't plan on it, no.
Make a Brook mod for the Madcatz Ego, DragonSlay Universal, GameSir C2, LeEco LEGFS-201 controllers. The case is excellent, but the internal board is bad.
I just installed mine with only some minor hiccups, and it is fantastic! Some questions:
1) What’s up with the switches on the long PCBs? Are they exactly the same as the original with 3 and 2 steps on the left and the right respectively?
2) Where can I get 2 button caps that fit said switches? The originals no longer fit and that almost derailed my install for a time.
Thanks for making a great product. If anyone is unsure about ease of installation, I can verify that it’s pretty simple if you have the necessary tools.
Dox Fill - the one is only to keep the cover in place. The PS3/4/PC BUTTON isn’t needed, so a 2 position switch was used. The caps are specific to the obsidian, you can reuse them.
I have a hard time getting the ps3/4 pc and tournament switches to fit on the obsidian. We are having clearance issues the switches and noticed that my unit has two legs where the plastic part of the switch casings. I'll have to send you images.
A on and off switch would be Awesome in that ps4/ps3/pc

I use it all the time for when I plug my fight stick to old arcade boards like the neo geo or anything on arcade
And it sucks to get up and unplug it every time you need to reset your button layout

No; you still would need the replacement board for the top and the base board the ufb plugs in to. Best you can do is buy the kit and save the ufb you have for something else

My touchpad click and LED buttons don't seem to be working.
Probably something hooked up incorrectly. Validate your wires are installed the correct way.

There is no firmware for the EZ MOD. But you should always keep the UFB firmware up to date, yes.
