I have a ring outdoor camera with the basic subscription. If I don’t want to add a subscription to the indoor and keep the subscription for the outdoor can I do that even after I add it to my same account?
Because 4K is so important for consumer security videos that will only ever be viewed on a tiny smartphone or Echo Show. This massive brand knows far more about its market than you ever will. Grow the hell up.
1:27: You do realize 1080p *is* 2K, right? That's what I get for watching a tatted teenager try to explain technology to rest of us who have real college degrees.
These camara’s are junk 3 weeks old and just died battery charged just won’t turn on. I’ll stick to blink and nest best out there and better motion detection.
Amazon reviews suggest otherwise and these do not run on batteries. And everyone who is anyone knows that Ring 2nd gen is better than Blink and far better than the overpriced Nest garbage. Do they pay you to leave this comments? LOL!
Yes, my camera must be an older model as it’s a little bit different than the one you’re showing here I have two of them one died but one seems to be working fine still with the solar panel these ones do have batteries.Nest cameras are very expensive but I’ve had one for five years and it records 24 seven and never had a problem with it.
I would have liked this more if you'd have touched a bit more on how to install. The QR code and how to pair with my wifi and then how to use the software a bit. Anyhow, good clip.
We currently have Nest indoors and are thinking about switching. Nest has a home/away mode that I can turn the cameras on only when we are away. Does Ring offer this feature?
Not able to open the base cover, so not sure how to screw it on wall
I came here specifically for this. I just said eff it and used the gray 3M double sided tape.
Slide it the opposite way of the arrow
@@jacobaragon7220thanks that’s so dumb that it’s not printed anywhere.
Omg, I’m watching this video because I couldn’t remove the bottom to attach it to the ceiling!
Can it be used without wifi if you plug it in directly to the TV? Thank you

Just picked up 2 on sale now for $29 each.
Where did you purchase them? Thanks.

Do I have to pay another 3.99 on top of the 3.99 that I’m paying every month for the ring doorbell camera?
One ring to see them, one ring to hear them, one ring to record them, and a master ring to bind them. LOTR.
How to do the two way talk from the cam itself!!! 😅
Can you turn off just the audio?
So if there was a thief inside the house and saw the camera, they can just swipe the privacy cover?
Remove the cover. All intruders would have to do is unplug the camera.
Yes but you would already have them recorded up until the time they swiped it.
It being a wired cam is a deal breaker for me. I'm cutting down on plug in tech and want mostly battery powered.
Video Quality really doesn't matter because we're not making home movies, A court room judge will not be asking for clearer Video Quality
A massive brand , that’s still stuck on 1080p

How is HD a bad thing?
@@GretSeat never said HD was a bad thing. Just that their stuck on 1080p . At least doorbell got upgraded to 2k.

1440p is 2K...
Looks like you didn't learn about screen resolution at your college or elsewere.
Lolololololol Imagine being that up your own arse, judgemental and WRONG! 🤣

Blink\Nest are decent, but Ring cameras are by far superior. But if you found something that works for you, then just stick with it.
Purchasing one today on sale and I just wanted to double-check the features and whether it is worth it. Thank you for an informative video!
Literally no details on how tf to mount this dumb camera.
I never caught if it is directionally mounted...don't wanna mount upside down if there is such a thing. Directions say nothing either. Am I dumb? Lol
Did not find the info about how to screw it on the wall
Is there a way to rotate images if mounting from a ceiling?
you can do it via app im almost certian
I love it, I purchased one Friday as a trial and error, then purchased 2 more Saturday. The video is so clear!
can i take off the bottom of the camera and drill it down without breaking it

I know it says indoors but What if I leave it outside ?
I looked it up they're not weatherproof. so if it gets rained on it's probably going to get damaged.
@@helix9268They have a version for outdoors.
Use brains if you have them. How does the camera know its outside or inside? Americans are zombies, that's why nothing makes any f.. g sense

It does
Can I monitor from anywhere worldwide using my phone without a subscription?
Yeah , but you can't access recordings with a subscription.
You have access to live view and get motion notifications
How long is the cord?
