    The bad thing about having a local storage to where the cctv videos are saved....when the burglar knows where the base station is...they will rip it apart and get it. That's what happened in my friends house. They have a CCTV setup and a base station to where all of the videos are saved. That is why now....they have a new CCTV system with cloud storage and not local storage.

    If I already have basic for the year and get plus do I just pay the difference? Or do I have to pay the whole $100?

    I have the basic protect plan. It takes up to a minute to show live view and I miss who is at my door. I was wondering if I upgrade- Will it work faster so I can actually see who is at the door?

    • @asksafewise
      @asksafewise  2 месяца назад +1

      Good question! But I don't think upgrading will speed up that process. It might help to do a quick internet speed test in your home to make sure your Wi-Fi isn't lagging.

      This is wrong lol. I have 4. I believe the maximum is 10. (and notice I said believe, because I am not 100% sure as to the limit as you seem to be even though you’re incorrect .)

    In my opinion, ring protect is a rip-off and i dont think it should exist. It makes the camera useless. Thanks for the video!

      Doesn't it actually make the cameras more useful?

      Stop being a brokie. Why would you expect ring to provide a cloud for all your useless security footage? People will complain about anything. You can either afford a security system or you go without one.

    My girlfriends brother had to move back in with us. I know he’s been unplugging the WiFi router to disarm my camera in my room so he can go in and snoop around. I just bought the protect pro plan. When I’m gone he is the only one in the house smh. If he unplugs the router will the cellular backup run off his phone to continue to record or how does that work? He keeps stealing from me I’m about to resort to violence but please someone answer this comment.

      Set up a separate spy camera with decent quality so you can have proof. Dont bother with ring to catch the thief in the act. Plenty of cheap spy cameras around. Good luck and hope you don't have to resort to violence. Stay safe.

    I think, dat yah need an update video on Ring Security Program. I ain't got dis issue wit my Ring Security system....
    I download the 2 min video clip , dat it records , in me phone. (without yearly subscription)
    I go live, anytime, (without a subscription)....and I get an alert and it records while it happens, as long as I go live option , on the phone...
    I haven't figured out , how to see my camera's on the laptop , yet....still working on dat. But no probs , with my phone
    2:06..I didn't know about that.....I guess that's how RING makes up , for the cheap costs??
