They won't be able to sustain their cheap business model and be profitable at the same time, so they will be forced to remove features, lock them behind different tiers, and increase prices. They probably won't do it until next year though.
@@fooey88 You could be right.....but for now the problem with Ring is there is no sd card accommodation. Eufy does have some built in memory or use a homebase to store events. Both offer cloud services to keep recorded events in case a device is stolen. But in Ring's case, you have to have and pay for cloud service since day one. There is no other option for recorded events for a Ring product.

It is hard just to have good food on the table, pay utilities that we really need, gasoline, and other basic necesities. While CEOs are getting Yachts and helicopters. I would prefer a camera that you do not have to pay but internet.
This. My car loan (for a near 10-year-old car) is only £80 a month, so I don't want to pay £25/ £30 just to properly view my cameras and secure my home etc. And I would prefer to spend my limited funds on something that gives me enjoyment, such as a twice-monthly paid hobby or even a Netflix subscription, over paying increasing amounts to Ring. A token £5 or £10 a month is doable, but this company needs to remember that many of us are struggling consumers, not money-rich businesses. I mean, they want me to buy their gear, pay for the electricity to run it in-order to send them the info, then pay again to get that info back. It doesn't help that their products are mostly way behind the curve to be honest.
Had a basic for a doorbell; bought a camera. Didn't realize that it was 2x! Should have done my research. Anyway, do they offer any specials (Black Friday, etc.) on plans, or just devices?
I have been a Ring customer for over 7 years and have been paying for subscription... I didn't mind paying for the cloud service I don't like that I am paying for 1080p camera's that have had little or no innovation... I would have upgraded my camera's and door bell but there is nothing to upgrade to! I now have a few Eufy camera's and am slowing moving away from Ring... mainly because the product line up has not improved.
I bought a new stick up cam because of the motion detection. Nothing beats ring detection unless its recording 24/7. Ive had arlo, i currently have eufy and reolink but put ring instead.
This is probably a dumb question, but I am one of those legacy customers who has the older alarm system, which is fine for my needs. I also have 1 camera and a ring doorbell pro. I have been paying $100 a year, which includes a lifetime replacement warranty on my hardware. Plus 10% off at their site. And I certainly understand that it is (was) the deal of the century. While I know that $200 is still a bargain - and I still can't complain - will that provide me with all the benefits I now have? Will it be exactly the same but just a different name and a doubled price?
Good info as always, thank you for your update! I’m a 1st generation Cam and Alarm user. I want to move to Alarm Pro, BUT very weary about buying then Ring upgrading their built in Eero router. Do you have any knowledge when Ring might upgrade to a newer version built in Eero router in the Alarm Pro? Thank you!
I have 16 cameras and lighting system from ring. They were all really cheap compared to competitor especially for floodlights ($100). Paying $100 for ring plus is ah okay with me. All linked device settings and ring motion sensor have my setup in a good place. I can’t imagine doing all this setup locally etc + unlimited warranty ( received one new camera so far)
I’m getting tired of the horrible customer service and awful video resolution I have complained since the day of purchase. And finally a ring employee agreed that the largest complaint was video resolution
Hi life hackster I've got the old ring doorbell Wired would i be getting all these new features and ive been watching all you're videos keep up the good work 👍🏻
Thanks for sharing infor and love your video. I switched from Ring to Eufy because of the customer service. I ordered Ring floodlight and it was back order. I did not get my Ring floodlight 3 weeks later. When I had issue with it, I called and they stated my 30 days warranty was expired for exchange. I told them I ordered the item but it was in back order. They stated the 30 days warranty started when the items was order. They don't care about the customer. They just wants to sell more units.
Honestly probably the only reason I keep Ring is their cameras show auto updating thumbnails on my Echo Hub, other than that they are pretty trash other than the doorbell and even then that is way behind other doorbells, it's just reliable. Simplisafe is a surprisingly good alarm system, I know people that have it in their homes and businesses and it seems to work well. My Wyze cameras are very good and I just bought some of the Eufy S340 cameras for a property I have elsewhere and they are really nice. I might swap out some of my home cameras in the future for the Eufys.
Considering that companies that provide the interactive services for professionally installed systems, charge the dealer less than $5 per month and the central station accounts have the ability to go for about $2 per account, I’d say that $10 per month is pretty sustainable especially for a billion dollar company like Amazon.
Nothing seems to change for Ring subscription in Europe (Belgium anyway). But as you said, the lack of innovation is making me think about switching to Eufy (Ring should wake up and make available 4K 30fps cams, optical zoom,...).
I will be going from 10 a month to 30 for all the services I get now, and I am not happy about it. Do you have any recommendations for Home Alarm and door camera (1) - All my home cameras are the Reolink so I'm happy with that decision, moved away from Arlo 2 years ago
Isn’t Eufy alarm monitoring now the cheapest at $99/year. We’ve been using that for 6 months and like it. And , of course , there is no charge for local security video. What are your thought now on Eufy as alarm system? Thanks for your words of wisdom. - Eric ZORK Alan & Sweetie [ 🤣Professional🤣Poets & Bed 🛏️ & Beer🍺 Vloggers ]
If you look at the economic climate, and every large corporation digging deep into our pockets, the answer for me is simple. I’m removing all Ring equipment and going elsewhere. I already have Reolink for quality cameras and I’ll switch to Eufy for the alarm. Ring would have kept me if they slow rolled this in a ramp to $200, but throwing it on all at once shows me what they think of their customers.
@@LifeHacksterI was just about to ask you the same question about eufy. I just checked. They just added smoke and carbon monoxide listener. With this what is your opinion on staying with ring vs going to eufy as a cheaper option. And a company willing to improve their camera technology. But I do like the looks of rings cameras and their security system looks more clean.
I find it funny that we all want 24 seven recording but for outside property usage and the majority of us have flood cams and they won’t do 24 seven recording come on ring get it together
Currently paying $100/year annually for central monitoring plan. Thoughts on canceling, getting a prorated refund, and then repurchasing the annual plan just before the pricing changes over so that I lock in another year at $100/year? Just wasn’t sure what date I would need to do that (Nov or March).
Also they can make it compatible with other monitoring services so if you don't like their service or pricing you can switch to another alarm monitoring company.
I agree that RING should offer a professional monitoring option separately. I have the Rin Alarm Pro and multiple cameras set up. The lack of innovation does bother me and I have been considering switching to EUFY cameras for the quality and features. For now, the cameras serve their purpose and do what I need them to but a sub free local storage option (like EUFY) would be much better. I would be very happy with ring as just an Alarm itself since it has worked well for me. I don't use the premium features like backup internet or edge. That should mean that I'm getting switched to the 19/mo 199 plan right? Im already paying 20/200 so that's actually a dollar cheaper per year (sarcastic yay)
I am up to 22 ring stick up cameras for now lol. I was wondering do we need to upgrade subscription for that new stick up cam pro model? Or can we still be on the plus subscription for the stick up cam pro to work? And I sure hope ring doesn’t close down!!! 😂😂😂. I never thought of that possibility and what happens to my cameras if they did shut down the app etc. ugh.
It's funny to see that they even capped the 24/7 recording to 10 cameras per location and that's with their poor quality cameras to begin with AND it's only 14 days. That's the problem with these subsidized security cameras. You sacrifice video quality/privacy for convenience. Probably why I love Reolink. All the freedom of choices and more thanks to ONVIF support.
For now I am keeping my Ring cameras, sensors and service but only with the Standard plan. With my Echo Shows, Firesticks integration it makes it a little hard for me to switch at this time.
I am not happy about the price increase as the price doubles, but there are no better features for the user. You are right that we all knew it would go up someday. I just wish they would improve the signal quality and then the cameras to 4K quality. It's the reason I haven't purchased any of their hardware. If they don't update, why buy old tech. Maybe someday they will finally get to 4K. Thinking about the Reolink unit with the cameras on POE and hopefully 4K. I have to watch some more of your videos to check them out.
I just wish they would release a 4K camera. 1080P just isn't clear enough when trying to zoom in on someone's face, because of where my camera is mounted. It isn't that high really, but it doesn't really look like a 1080p image to me.
@LifeHackster, follow up to my question from the other day. Would you go with a wired or even wireless Reolink doorbell cam over the new Tapo combo wired/wireless doorbell cam? I'm going to look into that Reolink NVR system you mentioned, but if I don't pull that trigger on that system, I'm at least going to have the doorbell and outside cameras to start. I kind of like the option of 'eventually' wiring the Tapo. Not sure if Reolink has a dual wired/wireless option to look into.
@@LifeHackster so ideally, Reolink wired doorbell is probably the preferred choice for long-term commitment to home building my system? Do you have concerns about the wireless aspect of these devices? I know that you test and provide great content for us, but outside of creating content, is wireless integrated in your primary setup? I see both Walmart and Amazon are doing some deals at the moment, so is Reolink directly on their website. Preciate it bro...👌🏿
@@MrABS369 Nope. Wired should be your primary setup especially nowadays that bad guys are using WiFi jammers. Wireless only for areas that you cannot wire in.
In the process of leaving Ring. Just purchased the eufyCam S3 Pro (4-camera pack). When Ring announced the price increase a few years ago, I began shopping and researching on/off. Just bidding my time to see what's out there and to see if Ring would make any changes on their end. However, the price increase isn't the sole reason for switching; the lack of innovation and 4K cameras is my other reason. I thought we were going to see the shift to 4K cameras when Arlo released the Ultra and that was in 2019. It's 2024 now with one failed attempt at a drone camera and, we still don't have 4K cameras. If Ring had at least 4K cameras and 24/7 recording rolled out at this moment, I would have accepted the price increase. Now my views and priorities have shifted to more focus on self-monitoring, although I may get Eufy's alarm monitoring at some point in the future.
I also want to say that I love Ring and am forever grateful for the service I've gotten from them... and for putting up with that time where I had them upgrade all of my cameras, at no cost, to the Stick Up Cam.
Interesting thankfully don’t need to know that’s why I avoid the Ring infrastructure and went with eufy. Now if Eufy can just improve their recent products from turning into bricks and buggy software .
I too had Eufy but when I had a visitor at my back door, the video was so bad it didn't fulfill the purpose of the camera. Police said I had a ghost not a person. Returned to an upgraded REOLINK system (had previously) and by far a much better and dependable system. Eufy was not dependable and experienced numerous issues.
I've slowly been migrating away from Ring. I've moved the majority of my cameras to a POE/NVR setup with my doorbell and back yard cam still on Ring. The price increase, non-innovative releases and basic quality of cameras has killed it for me. I just need my doors and motions sensors monitored and I like professional monitoring. I can replace my current cameras with higher quality that record local and accessible via app. So I'll be on the lookout for another provider.
I noticed about an hour ago that my mode settings were gone and all 3 of my cameras turned on by default. I had basic, spoke to a rep and he told me that the mode settings are no longer enabled unless I upgrade. Canceled my plan which I just paid for this past July. You would think they wouldn't make changes to one's plan until the current plan expires. I'm getting refunded $99 from the $149 I paid in July. Started with Ring in 2021 as a supplement to our now ancient Vivint system. Ever since I started using Eufy, Ring has been pretty much redundant, being that all 3 were indoor cameras. Waste of money I know but tonight was a good time as any to drop Ring.
My house is hardwired for my alarm system. I converted it to ring from Xfinity. My question is does any other home security system offer this feature besides ring? I dont use their cameras because they suck.
I'm leaving ring. The increase to $200 was not so bad, but now the alarm service is not included, as you said if they offer the alarm service by it self that would be good.. but $200 for the camera service which no one sits around and watch the recordings, most customers are here for the alarm service, let them know that and see if they might reconsider making the alarm service as a standard alone service
I used to have a Ring Doorbell and Wyze Cameras before I replaced it with the Wyze Doorbell V2 so I can have Local recordings without being behind a paywall like Ring's Cloud (or Local subsription if you have a ring alarm pro). TBH, Ring wants more profit than satisfaction and end up making people leave ring to transition to companies like Eufy, Reolink, Wyze, and others that have Local recording and not having essential features behind a paywall
I’m a bit confused just got the ring doorbell pro not even out of the box yet it was a gift so I read reviews ect and than discovered I needed a subscription my ? Is what do I get with the basic is will record and keep the video for 180 days? So I can look back at who was at my door. Thank you for any advice
I have several Ring cameras and the retrofit alarm kit, which all are under the Ring Protect Plus plan. The $100 a year for professional monitoring was a no-brainer. My previous alarm company was charging $30 a month plus taxes for monitoring. Even at $200 a year, I believe the professional monitoring, extended warranty, and 10% discount is still a good deal. A quick internet search for professional alarm monitoring didn’t find any cheaper alternatives. The great thing about capitalism is that consumers have multiple choices when purchasing goods and services. Let’s face it, most companies are moving towards subscription based services. Unfortunately, it has become the new business model. As consumers, we can choose not to subscribe. That’s the freedom of capitalism.
This is all a clusterfudge. I received an e-mail telling me my price was going to be doubled unless I remove professional monitoring, but I don't have professional monitoring. I also have a red button on my Ring homepage that says "Action required", but when I click it it says, "oops, something went wrong here".
I'm really torn on what to go for, ring subscription puts me off buying ring pro cams, picture quality seems poor to, are eufy actually secure and reliable? I can go wired but need around 6m cable. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
If it works the same as the Uk when they put our prices up earlier in the year, you can cancel your service just before the price increase date and then re subscribe for another whole year at the lower price. The price increase sucks and I’ll likely move to a Reolink doorbell when this years subscription ends but a Ring Pro doorbell is a lot of cash to just discard…
Long time Ring user. Not happy about price increase. But have too much invested in our system. Just installed light bridge and transformer landscape lights. Generally happy with the system but $100 a year was better deal. Ring could have increased “us” to $150 in appreciation of long time customer’s
So I’m not a Ring user - but this is basically my sentiment. Ring became popular not because they are the best - they became popular because they are a loss leading competitor. Just like Amazon is. And just like Amazon - those types of companies will always in the future raise their prices. I totally expect another price increase down the road (not soon, but at some point). And as you pointed out - their competition starts around $30 per month. So I would expect that Ring will “catch up” to that pricing eventually. However, the way they did this is kind of shady. Especially in CA. In CA, they emailed their users telling them that starting Nov 5 2024 (I’m pretty sure I have that date right) they will be moved to the plan with no monitoring. The way it was worded some thought they wouldn’t have monitoring options at all. They have since changed course bc of pressure from the Press and will give a “year free or monitoring” but then they will not have it unless they change the plan. That’s still kind of dirty. Anyway. My basic thought is that Ring was always going to raise their prices. And that’s what they are doing.
I have so much product invested in Ring that it’s hard to switch. Also, my floodlight camera are hardwired and I believe most of the other comparable cameras are plug in or battery.
I originally had REOLINK but moved and decided to use EUFY. But then returned to REOLINK and their NVR system. I am very impressed with their system, the NVR, the resolution, and reliability. Can zoom in, can tell it to detect people, cars, pets or any movement. Playback is simple now and can view my cameras on my iPhone, TV (though this time the NVR is hooked up to a separate TV) or my iPad mini. They have upgraded their cameras and now have a really nice app that was once very awkward. Resolution can't be beat.
Note they have massively cut their costs of the security monitoring as a human doesn't even call you now, it is all a machine. Yet they are doubling prices. In our area cops won't even reply to security company calls without video confirmation that something is actually happening.
What smart doorbell and flood light security camera do you use for your house? I have the battery ring doorbell plus now. Ring sent me that one because my ring doorbell 3 plus audio got corrupted. Idk if I wanna stick with ring doorbell after that so I’m looking for other options rn.
Wow, My email for my current plan (Ring Protect Plus) didn't even show that my subscription will no longer include euro, local edge, backup internet. Are they hiding this from me? Or is there no change to my plan?
I don't use Ring cameras anymore, compared to other brands now Ring cameras are junk, not to mention having to pay to use them. I do use Ring alarm, and have liked it. I just self monitor and use automations. I would like to see a few more intergrations with other platforms like homekit.
I’m going to upgrade my local NVR system and get rid of the Ring service. Yes, I am currently running a dual setup. Both a local wired NVR system and wireless Ring.
REOLINK has upgraded their application and I personally recommend them. I have an NVR and 4 cameras with the option to add on. Purchased a small TV and my exterior is in view 24/7. And all the stray cats in my new neighborhood like it too because I can see them hanging around my back door waiting on breakfast and dinner.
Here’s my issue….i paid for a year of the basic plan, 6 months later they removed options and required me to upgrade to a “plus” plan. How can they just remove options that I already paid for?
Just reinforces my opinion that Ring is garbage. I actually decided to pull the plug and order a couple of Reolink's Lumus cameras for places I want less visible cameras and their WiFi NVR. If its built in Wi-Fi doesn't cover where I need I'll just connect the cameras to my mesh network and connect the NVR to my LAN via ethernet like you showed in your follow up video. Any future POE cams can just connect to a POE switch. Glad you did that followup video because on second consideration it's a pretty darned nice NVR for $170 USD.
Chatted with ring. In the Netherlands ring pricing for mobile backup will have to be paid seperate, next to ring home standard and premium. Starting 5/nov. But they don’t know pricing yet. They promise no change in functionality for ring plus to ring basic but i see this differently.
All I did was install loud azz sirens for window breaking /shatter and have door handle locks and bolts and a 22 pistol for mess around a find out security 😂
Hi Can make it a video with Tapo C425 KIT? And explain how long the battery last from full charged and what notification to not use it to much battery! And making a video to explain to us how to saving battery and long lasting battery! Thanks
It's a bit confusing that you said I need to pay around $30/month if I want to keep professional monitoring as well as the camera recording, but the email I got says the plan with the alarm and professional monitoring will cost around $20/month. Not sure what the matter here.
If you have the PRO alarm and want the other features that I mentioned like backup internet, eero secure, local edge recording and most likely the 24/7 recording, then you need the premium plan and if you add the professional monitoring, then it will total 300 bucks a year. If you don’t need the other features if you have the pro alarm or just have the regular alarm, then it is 200/yr.
Thanks. I will be moving out to another platform as the black Friday comes to purchase other cameras. I did the calculations and it will payback given I only have cameras and do not want to pay 200/year for that

@@LifeHacksterthanks for the reply. I’ll keep investigating mine. might have to switch out the HB3 or the ssd to see if that’s the issue. Keep up the good work. You’re the reason I switched to Eufy. 😉

Ask yourself if you really need the professional monitoring? We ditched that when they put up the prices in the UK. Apps on all the families phones, tablets etc work just fine without it. If the alarm ever goes off everyone gets notified and setting and disarming from the app is often quicker than typing the pin into the keypad.

anyone know if Eufy has any plans on having a NVR? want NVR for storage and for viewing on TVs
Eufy doesn’t have any home assistant integration. That’s a killer for me. Totally closed ecosystem

Thank you!
Thanks so much for the breakdown. Going from $10 to $20 a month is fair for what you get, especially compared to other options for me. Thanks!
What are the best home security cameras without subscription plan? Thank you.
Do you think you can do a comparison video between ring alarms and eufy alarm system.
I’m getting tired of the horrible customer service and awful video resolution
I have complained since the day of purchase. And finally a ring employee agreed that the largest complaint was video resolution
Hi life hackster I've got the old ring doorbell Wired would i be getting all these new features and ive been watching all you're videos keep up the good work 👍🏻
I’m not really sure if Ring is going to add 24/7 recording on their doorbells.. hopefully, they will.
Thanks for watching!
Unfortunately, footnote 5 states in the Netherlands, you need a seperate subscription for the mobile backup next to basic. But no info on pricing yet…
Ring should make a local storage option without subscription
No, you should sell all your Ring devices and buy normal cameras that don't require paying them to share your private recordings with them...
I will be going from 10 a month to 30 for all the services I get now, and I am not happy about it. Do you have any recommendations for Home Alarm and door camera (1) - All my home cameras are the Reolink so I'm happy with that decision, moved away from Arlo 2 years ago
I only have used and tested the Ring Alarm but I really wished they offer a stand alone professional monitoring.
Isn’t Eufy alarm monitoring now the cheapest at $99/year. We’ve been using that for 6 months and like it. And , of course , there is no charge for local security video. What are your thought now on Eufy as alarm system? Thanks for your words of wisdom.

That’s who I’m moving to since it’s separate from cameras.
I haven't tried their professional monitoring... They need more type of sensors though like smoke and or fire alarm.
@@LifeHackster I wonder if existing First Alert zwave would be able to connect in.
Thank you for addressing this. Time to change.
Thanks for watching!
Currently paying $100/year annually for central monitoring plan. Thoughts on canceling, getting a prorated refund, and then repurchasing the annual plan just before the pricing changes over so that I lock in another year at $100/year? Just wasn’t sure what date I would need to do that (Nov or March).
Hello, In my house I have Eufy and reolink indoor and outdoor
Do I need one NVR ?
Or I need two
What kind of NVR works for both?
Eufy has a homebase and Reolink a hub or NVR. There is no NvR that can connect to both brands.
@@LifeHackster Thank you❤️.. but I see you display all cameras in one screen
Companies are falling out of favor. Don't de-bundle products or services. Then nickel and dime us with the same features later 😭
Ecobee is the cheapest alarm with monitoring. Big flaw there is if the power goes out, you have no alarm.
Is out this camera tapo c501gw 4g lte?
I actually don't know.
I switched to Eufy and now towards Tapo and I’m happy I did. No subscriptions
I am up to 22 ring stick up cameras for now lol. I was wondering do we need to upgrade subscription for that new stick up cam pro model? Or can we still be on the plus subscription for the stick up cam pro to work? And I sure hope ring doesn’t close down!!! 😂😂😂. I never thought of that possibility and what happens to my cameras if they did shut down the app etc. ugh.
If you only have Ring cameras and not the alarm, your subscription price is not going to change. Newer models will be on the same plan.
what would you say is the best wifi 24/7 recording camera?
I’ll go with with Reolink wired/plug in WiFi cameras.
The thing about Reolink is that they have an NVR while Tapo doesn’t at this time. My doorbell recordings are stored on the NVR inside my house.
Can you use the ring alarm as a standalone system without subscription?
Yes. Self monitor.
So I'll be on the lookout for another provider.
yep, got that notice too.
I'm not really sure if other alarm brands have the retrofit kit.
Just to be clear, ring standard + monitoring is 200/yr.
I agree with you about capitalism. We have choices.
I don't pay for a subscription and just self-monitor my alarm when I'm at work. Any change for folks like me who self monitor?
Nope. No change.
After the new Eufy products reveal I am switching.
So if my ring plan renews on february 6 and this starts march 1 will i pay $100 for next year?
Yes, you probably going to get 1 more year..
This is all a clusterfudge. I received an e-mail telling me my price was going to be doubled unless I remove professional monitoring, but I don't have professional monitoring. I also have a red button on my Ring homepage that says "Action required", but when I click it it says, "oops, something went wrong here".
The error happened to me because I was using a VPN. Turned it off and it was good. Pissed me off when they do that
I'm really torn on what to go for, ring subscription puts me off buying ring pro cams, picture quality seems poor to, are eufy actually secure and reliable? I can go wired but need around 6m cable. Any help/advice would be appreciated. Thanks.
Eufy is pretty good but if you go wired, take a look at Reolink and Tapo also.
This is the reason why we should not let corporations turning anything into subscription
Eufy doorbell, zero subscription 3 years still going strong 👍
Long time Ring user. Not happy about price increase. But have too much invested in our system. Just installed light bridge and transformer landscape lights. Generally happy with the system but $100 a year was better deal. Ring could have increased “us” to $150 in appreciation of long time customer’s
True.. or just eat up to cost of the legacy customers than handling the PR challenges that they are having now.
what about wyze?
Wyze have their own issues.
Wow, I had no idea that 24/7 recording was so limited. Ridiculous!
I agree with you on this.
I have so much product invested in Ring that it’s hard to switch. Also, my floodlight camera are hardwired and I believe most of the other comparable cameras are plug in or battery.
A lot of floodlight cams are also wired in... like the eufy floodlight cams.
I ditched Ring for Eufy last year. It was the right move.
what if we get rid of the cameras and just th alarm
Unfortunately, at this time the alarm monitoring is an add on to their camera plans. Hopefully, they will add it as a separate option.
I just cancelled my ring subscription and purchased a reolink doorbell and outdoor cameras.
Good choice!
lol yesterday I pulled 4 ring cameras due to this. Going all reolink as well.
I gave up ring and went with eufy
Note they have massively cut their costs of the security monitoring as a human doesn't even call you now, it is all a machine. Yet they are doubling prices. In our area cops won't even reply to security company calls without video confirmation that something is actually happening.
question is whats a good alternative to ring alarm
Everything but ring.
@@sendo427 nope it’s not that simple ring alarm
Is actually pretty good
I really haven't tested other alarm systems but I wish Ring would just make a separate option for the alarm monitoring by itself.
@@LifeHackster I’ve been looking but can’t find anything suitable to swap too. I wish eufy would improve their alarm
What smart doorbell and flood light security camera do you use for your house?
I have the battery ring doorbell plus now. Ring sent me that one because my ring doorbell 3 plus audio got corrupted.
Idk if I wanna stick with ring doorbell after that so I’m looking for other options rn.
I currently use the Eufy Floodlight Cam E340 and for the doorbell, Reolink doorbell.
@@LifeHackster thank you! That will help me narrow it down. I’ll go check out your videos on those two products now.
Wow, My email for my current plan (Ring Protect Plus) didn't even show that my subscription will no longer include euro, local edge, backup internet.
Are they hiding this from me? Or is there no change to my plan?
I’m assuming you have the regular version of the Ring Alarm and not the PRO. The pro is the one that have those features.
@@LifeHackster No, I have the Pro.
I don't use Ring cameras anymore, compared to other brands now Ring cameras are junk, not to mention having to pay to use them. I do use Ring alarm, and have liked it. I just self monitor and use automations. I would like to see a few more intergrations with other platforms like homekit.
Good thing I'm switching to a full Reolink System next month! I've learnt alot from watching your videos. Thanks! Bye Bye Ring 1080p!
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for watching my videos!
Chatted with ring. In the Netherlands ring pricing for mobile backup will have to be paid seperate, next to ring home standard and premium. Starting 5/nov. But they don’t know pricing yet. They promise no change in functionality for ring plus to ring basic but i see this differently.
Thank you for this
Any time
All I did was install loud azz sirens for window breaking /shatter and have door handle locks and bolts and a 22 pistol for mess around a find out security 😂

Hi
Can make it a video with Tapo C425 KIT? And explain how long the battery last from full charged and what notification to not use it to much battery! And making a video to explain to us how to saving battery and long lasting battery! Thanks
I haven't tested that model yet.
Thanks for sharing. I don't use Ring.
You’re welcome 😊
I did the calculations and it will payback given I only have cameras and do not want to pay 200/year for that
WOW i WILL STAY with my reolink NVR with free recording 24/7 pay once for the NVR
I am going to move away from Ring, maybe pretty soon.
Hey @lifeHackster do you have any problems with audio from C24/E220 outdoor cams when in 24/7 mode downloading from homebase 3? I dont have any audio when its from the HB3 but fine when in solo mode?
Do you have sound recording turned on on that camera.
@@sendo427 Yes all on works fine in live view but loses audio when I download the clip. But only when DL from HB3?

@@LifeHacksterthanks for the reply. I’ll keep investigating mine. might have to switch out the HB3 or the ssd to see if that’s the issue. Keep up the good work. You’re the reason I switched to Eufy. 😉
@@cl1ff0 try turning off audio recording and turn it back on and maybe it will refresh that setting or if there is a option to restart the camera try that.
Damn I just bought the alarm to add to my system.
