push the gray casing with both thumbs away from the up arrow. You might have to push down a little on the gray casing as you are pushing towards the down side of the casing
You just saved me a lot of frustration! I couldn't find this info anywhere. You are a scholar and a gentleman....may the Valkyries carry you to Valhalla when your time here is done.
Great detail with all the information I needed with exception of how to remove the bottom mount plate so it could be wall-mounted. Seems like the outdoor stick up. Cam’s were pretty simple. This one seems to be different.
Two questions. I have just the one device subscription plan. If I was to get this second camera, what features would be eliminated if I don't upgrade my plan? I know I would not have cloud storage/capture...but what features would be gone? And second...if I was to set the camera up and install, but then normally have the camera unplugged and not in use, will it work when I plug it in...or would I have to do a full set-up each time?
I purchased 2 of these and they do not connect to my wifi, it keeps saying password is wrong (even when it is correct). My wifi network runs both 5ghz and 2.4ghz, some devices run in the 5ghz and I attempted to install this on 2.4ghz but no luck! Did you have any difficulty before going live on your channel? Ring are sending new ones out but quite surprised, usually very easy set up!
Can I use it without wifi? I do not need to record or anything. Just need to watch from a different location. Not sure if it can be plugged directly into the TV or not.

Thanks! I could not find how to do this either.

It would have been very helpful to know how the new generation unit mounts. Even Ring chat support can't seem to figure it out
Address was showing not sure if you mind or noticed but definitely wanted to let you know.

Same issue with me !!!!!! I don’t know how to fix it !
I think you may have to "tell your router" to use only 2.4ghz upon setup.
Does the 2nd generation have Familiar/unfamiliar face recognition ?
Is it able to connect to any WiFi? I know some security cameras require 2.5 GHz.

Is this camera wireless or does it always have to be plugged in ?
But does the Privacy cover mute the mic too? I assume it does, but you shouldn’t have to reconnect every time you cover it.
Yes, it does. It auto reconnects after about 2 minutes but for the video I just pressed the reconnect button to make it happen faster.
Ok but how the hell does it mount lol
I was looking for that too, this video is useless lol
@@philrides27 I found it. You gotta push the gray casing up and it comes off. Mount that on the wall then the camera clips onto it
oh my god, thank you!!! I could not figure out how to get it apart either.
That is why I am F'N Here!!!
@@154angel154 take the gray casing off by pushing up and it will come off. Mount that casing first
