The audio and night time video was definitely better on the 2nd gen. As for daytime video. It did look a bit overexposed. But nothing too bad. I’m sure after a few updates it’ll be fixed. I’m just glad the privacy cover can be removed. If one is looking into a indoor cam and price isn’t an issue. Would you recommend the 2nd gen?
Not realizing what was going to be entailed as I started the activation process with Ring on my phone, I ran into a situation when the camera was not turning the blue light on. I tried to back up but it would not do that. I just stopped the process thinking I could go back but that was not an option evidently. So I just stopped. Now I want to know if I can retry with the same camera? Will it set me back to the beginning with that camera. Does it know the process was not completed? I have been watching some videos now on it so want to try it again.
I have the new camera.....your video does not cover how to hang it up on the wall. I cannot work out how to mount it!! How to remove that gray base!! Even the Ring website doesn't show how to mount it!! The mount for the original one was great.....and easy!!!
@@onemanband8340 Yes I was. Unfortunately I can't explain as this was sometime ago and the Ring camera is at my Mum's apartment thousands of miles away!!!
There's a siren button on the home screen of the app and on the live view. It sounds like a car alarm, it doesn't sound that high but doesn't sound that low neither.
I threw everything away but I imagine there are instructions. There is typically a piece below it that you wall mount then you slide the camera in place. I've placed mine in a unique spot so no need to wall mount.
All of my Ring original indoor cams have color night vision! I use (2) of them behind the glass to view outside and they work in color and detect motion. Based on your video I don't see any reason to replace or upgrade the version I have. In the Ring app you can set a camera NOT to record or view depending on your mode. The ones inside my home are set NOT to record or view when I am home. I have premium Ring protect plan as well so not sure if this is an option on the free or base plans.
You could factory reset and try again but that will require new setup once again if you want to do that. I’m sure you already know but password is case sensitive

I've been looking at these indoor cams for over a year. Snagged the 2nd generation on Prime day for $30 each. I'm glad I waited!
Great deal
Maybe I should wait

Were you able to mount it on your wall?

How does the siren work? You didn't mention that.

I just got the new ones, how do you wall mount it?

I can’t figure out how to wall mount it either. No instructions and bottom plate doesn’t come off
@@micnguyen2864 i legitimately think it is not made to wall mount.
