I dig my 125 and agree with your reasons. I don't see me ever getting rid of mine. It's fun because the point of the bike for me is learning to keep momentum and learn to ride an underpowered bike (for my weight) so I never have to worry about wasting money on engine mods and trying to make it more powerful. That's not it's purpose.👍👍
I love my 23 yz125X. It's the most fun you can have on two wheels! Small bore bikes are great to build your technique and confidence. You forgot to mention the reliability/simplicity of a kick start and a carburettor.
I’m just like you, I’ve got a yz250 and a 125. I’ve done a complete frame up build on both of them. I’ve been out for a couple months because I broke my back on my cousins bike, but hoping to make them bikes scream again soon.

Very true! Thanks for that 👊🏻🤙🏻
Hopefully gonna get a 26 125 next year. Been wanting one for years, just got a new bike this year so I'll have to wait until next year
Nice, what did you get?
@@RIDEreviewRELOAD 2024 yz250f. Thing is awesome

Bro that sounds gnarly! Hope your ok man
I have the yz125 and yz250x but I think I’m better on on the 125 because I have to ride it hard lol the 250 is nice on hills lol
I feel the same.
I had a 2003 yz125. I traded it straight across for a 1998 yz400f and tbh…. The YZ125 is no longer my favorite
I feel you I had an 03 as my first full sized dirtbike. Last year of Steel frame YZ
@@RIDEreviewRELOAD I love the steel framed bikes. Something about the old style bikes that makes me gravitate towards them
Ya im in my 40s and looking to get another 125 . I can ride a 125 faster than a 450 by far
Yes sir, 450s are fun and gobs of power, but something about small bore bikes will always have a certain appeal to me.
You’ll probably have a bigger smile from the less cc I’ve owned both and the YZ125 was great fun to flick around it felt like a bmx compared to my 450
I have a1997 Yz125 mint condition garage kept all original parts. Far as parts Yamaha has parts for days nomatter the year…
Right on
not one redline
