Epidemic Sound - No War - Gavin Luke
Hi, Al. This video is a dub of an essay meme about Jimmy McPerson, the most influential person in World War 2. Please show it to people who will like it. Thank you.
History may have forgotten Jimmy, but we will not
Never forget!
Damn
jimmy is unforgettable

Amen. 🙏

Wise words, Phony...😞
Perchance
I know history is written by the victors, but Jimmy McPerson was so influential he was able to move Harlem to Chicago and Tokyo to China. Such a shame history didn't remember this
And he made the emperor be chosen by election
He was ahead of his time 😔
to be fair during ww2 japan did control a decent portion of china

The text makes no mention of China though lol
The teacher doesn't even question the samurai and ninjas
They were too world weary at that point to care.
Edited for wrong 2.

Or that Hirohito's name is "Maximoto" now.

“Some might argue he was never a documented citizen” is the greatest bypass for losing marks from not doing a real person I’ve ever seen. Because if the teacher says he wasn’t real, then they are one of those people.
As the prophecy foretold
THOSE people... XD

Truly the person of all of all
This deserves an F in History, but an A in creative fiction
Creative NONfiction. Jimmy McPerson did in fact do all the things that Jimmy McPerson did, but history forgot him, so Jimmy McPerson is not part of history even if all he did was real.
Idk about an A. But a C, sure why not
I'd give him a c+ for this, not an a

"Peter, your dreams do not count as submissions"
Love the "Very Cute, Peter" at the top. Usually they'd say "see me after class", but this makes it seem like Peter's done this enough times the teacher doesn't bother anymore.
Teacher secretly enjoys the shenanigans
I think teachers take their job too seriously. This kid obviously knows he gets an F, the teacher is literally an expert on history. Why not get some enjoyment out of it? I had a teacher in high school show the whole class a project a student did that year because it was the worst thing ever made. He spelled the name of his topic wrong and the phrase "hardcore diarrhea" came up. Why get mad?
@@skeetsmcgrew3282 We kinda have to take our jobs seriously or else we get fired and lose our salary
That said, it’s still important to laugh sometimes and to take a joke, especially one like an essay that isn’t disrupting the class
I found another of Peter's work titled "Biography: Walt Whitman" from 6-01-2000 were the teacher ask him to come see them.
He did several of these, and all of them are hilarious.
This was written in 1999. That means this person could now be a parent helping their kids with their history reports.
Oh God no…
Imagine if his kid is the guy from Mario the man vs. Mario the idea
He's making sure Jimmy's story is not forgotten by future generations
i doubt this is real lol
OH GOD
Honestly the timeline of Jimmy’s life is the most maddening for me. His parents were young slaves when he was born, which means that Jimmy needed to be born before the Civil War ended, which would mean that Jimmy would have at least have been in his mid 70s during WW2.
Part of the joke, I think 😊
Oh yeah there were absolutely no slaves after the civil war, yep, yep.
there's like nothing on the timeline that actually stops this story from happening through
Surprisingly enough, most slaves were rescued during reconstruction. There were obviously a few holdouts and, Heck, there are still enslaved people in the modern day, but the vast majority of slaves became free at most a decade after the Civil War
Being in his mid 70s just makes him more badass.
Never forget Jimmy’s parents who were on the verge of curing cancer. God bless ❤
I love how that part isn't even questioned.
I like how the teacher didn’t correct how his parents were on the verge of curing cancer
Can't prove that wrong. Clearly all their lab notes got burned up when the Japanese took them out.
Why would they? As far as anyone knows, Jimmy McPersons parents were on the verge of curing cancer
Even the teacher had hoped that some part of this fiction story to be true.
I mean, that could have been true
Or the battle in Tokyo against President Maximoto of Japan being referred to as the battle in China.
Actually, he wasn't forgotten by history!
My grandpa always celebrates the life of the guy who killed Hitler
Oh no
New take on the "Hitler wasn't all bad, he killed Hitler" joke. Amazing 😂
10/10 No notes
Well hold on a minute
If your birthday is April 20 and you celebrate it, you're also celebrating Hitler's birthday. If your birthday is April 30 and you celebrate it, you're also celebrating Hitler's death.
Average argentinian grandpa moment
"If Jimmy was forgotten by history, how do you know about him?" "We will be taking no further questions at this time."
quite simple actually, Peter is in fact Peter, rather than history
given that Peter is not history, it is entirely possible to recall the legend of Jimmy and his heroic actions that fateful day
the Kid: *"Of Course I know him, **-he's me!-** he's my grandfather!*
"my dad works at nintendo"
time may have forgotten jimmy, but we are not time
I love how the teacher called the student out on all the historycal and geographic inaccuracies, but did not comment Jimmy's feats, because they could not be proven wrong.
Peter's statement about Jimmy McPerson killing Hitler implies that Jimmy's real name was Hitler.
I mean we DO have evidence of hitler's death
I really admire the commitment to ignorance, not only choosing to make up a person rather than choose a real one, but to boldy know nothing about what actually happened in WW2. You can really tell they got more bored as time went on and fully started to commit to making things up.
This person is bad at history, even by us standards
@@floof7680 it's a joke
At least he vaguely knows who Hitler was
Like, he could have just said it was some field medic that went into the field to save people. Something small in scale, but heroic, and JUST plausible enough to say "Well I visited my grandpa in Florida and this was their neighbor"
But no. He went straight to killing Hitler.

According to my tier-list/history-book, Jimmy was not one of the heroes of all time
@@user-tz6yd7dw5b and thus, the hero was unsung.
I like the part where Jimmy McPerson said “It’s Jimmin’ time!” & jimmied all over the Axis Powers in WW2.
I love the genuine confusion questions by the person grading his paper like
"how do YOU know about this guy"
Duh because he IS him
Becuase he isn't history
I love teachers who, instead of just writing it off as an F, casually correct these masterpieces. They seem chill.
Hey, their job is to teach, if that kid remembers one of those corrections for the rest of his life, he did his job
the thing is, these ain't even corrections for the most part. Samurai? Ninjas? No issue. The fact that the person is literally undocumented and has the last name "McPerson"? No issue. The fact that the fake name Mr. McPerson used is literally never mentioned? No issue.
This isn't even them correcting the paper, instead it has the same energy as that guy who is just a pathological liar, and sucks at lying, walking up to you and telling you about how his uncle helped put the first man on the moon. You don't need to critique him, he's patently lying, so you just sort of smugly sit in the corner taking pop shots at the bits you feel like making fun of.
"Not many people have even heard of him" That's gonna change after this video.
I love how he just gives up on calling Maximoto by his name and just calls him President Japan.
My favorite part is the teacher not correcting Jimmy fighting "samurai and ninjas" so now all I can imagine is Samurai and Ninjas in jets attacking Pearl Harbor.
they have machine guns, but its just a ninja strapped to a pole throwing kunais and shurikens
I love how the teacher skipped past the "young African slave couple" part. Slavery ended in 1865, and if we assume Jimmy was born in 1864, he would have been 77(1941-1864) years old during WW2 . Fighting the samurais, ninjas and even Hitler in his 70s, what a great man!
I made a comment about this but missed the young part so I came to the conclusion that he was born around 1906 and his parents were born in 1864 which would mean they were around 42 when they had him. I like your conclusion better lol
I like how me and the professor just says What? to "like all black youths"
Jimmy is certainly one of the war heroes that have existed
Some would argue!

I like how after the “Oh God no…” they didn’t even bothers to correct the author about the story anymore until the end
I know this was definitely written ironically, but man it’s fun to imagine that this person actually thought that this was how WWII happened.
The voice in this one was perfect.

This man definitely got a C for creativity
Reminds me of a little story from school. Some smartass kid didn't like his assignment, and handed in an essay which was so spectacularly, hilariously, and very deliberately wrong, that a bunch of teachers held an hour long meeting debating whether to grade it F or A. Those were the only alternatives. I think they decided on A.
Note that the teacher did not mark him for mentioning the Japanese Imperial Army containing samurai and ninjas, that part must be unquestionably true
"Ohh God no..."

An unappreciated hero 💔
Why must the good die young 😔
I like how it clearly says he infiltrated Japan but later on says he fought and died in China, but somehow the teacher did not even acknowledge that trough all that madness of a paper
Or how black people weren't allowed to join the military even though there has been well documented black soldiers in WW2.
No, you don't understand. He did battle in China, but he died killing Hitler in Japan. It was all part of his plan, the details just weren't included in the essay
@@Dreadnautilus The teacher did acknowledge that.
@Dreadnautilus he literally acknowledged that.
I love how the teacher goes from doing his job to getting really invested in the story
2:25 he was my great great great grandfather!
The fact this was in 1999 before the idea of shitposting was as widespread as it was today
Shitposting has been around in some form or another for a _long_ time. I mean, have you _seen_ the goofy nonsense in the marginalia of medieval manuscripts? Hell, I bet shitposting has been around since the first hominids figured out the concept of scrawling pigment across the wall of their cave!
Shitposting always existed. The internet just allowed everyone too see it
I love that the only fault in the entire last section is that the writer referred to the leader of Japan as it's 'president', and not as 'emperor'.
Everything else was flawless.
Hirohito was baisically a figurehead in his palace while the army and the navy ran rampant and he knew if he tried anything he’d be coup’d (it actually happened but failed when the generals found out he was about to give the surrender speech). The prime minister had the real power. That should’ve been the correction
Thank you for bringing my life to life. I hope modern historians may once more discover my existence.

This is truly one of the most heartbreaking and emotional stories of all time. Merry Christmas!
I hear Jimmy McPerson even partook in the christmas standstill of World War 1, despite the fact he hadn't even been born yet.
I mean if his parents were slaves when he was born, that would mean that Jimmy would have to been born some point before 1865, So based on the timeline Jimmy would have been middle aged by the time WW1 started.
I like how towards the end the grader just gives up and ignores all the other mistakes. He's just so tired...
WHY didn't I ever have any teachers who were awesome enough to write "Oh God no..." on my writing assignments?

It's okay, most have forgotten, but we will not.
Jimmy was such an brave man, and it's so saddening that the teacher doesn't know and henceforth won't be able to teach the incredible story of Jimmy McPerson.
What makes this even better is thinking about this as them ranting about it with the teacher trying to reply.
Jimmy McPerson was great
The Eric-Cartman-style voice you do for this is just perfect
"A deadly plan. For revenge." Is actually the next Bond movie title
R.I.P. Jimmy. We will always remember
Jimmy McPerson was truly the person to ever exist
I loved the part where he and

This person actually existed. I'm not joking. His original name was James McPherson, but he took on the alias of Jimmy McPerson after joining the US Navy in December, 1941. He was part of the precursor to the Navy SEALS, and did in fact kill a german HVT, though the identity of said person remains classified. Thank you, US Government.
Love how the grader just doesn’t even bother with the samurai and ninjas
or the fight between Jimmy and both president japan and hitler in Tokyo, China.
The attempted american accent is what got me.
I love how the teacher lets the “countless samurai and ninjas” bit pass without comment! xD

This really needs to be adapted into a feature film
I would unironically watch this movie.
That teacher has probably laughed their ass off throughout the entire time they were reading that. lol
I like how for the last paragraph the teacher just stopped with the notes. Could have put down that that's not at all how or where Hitler died, or how the writer seeming confused Japan with China. But at that point it's like "well their already getting a zero"
I love how the ending basically has the same impact as the TFS "how did you know about the parts you weren't there for" joke
When u tryna write an action movie plot but your attention span is too short to write a consistent story
I love how the teacher eventually just stops questioning it
I absolutely love the way “Oh God no” was delivered at 1:41
Jimmy may have been forgotten by history, but luckily I’m not history. I idolize the pure bravery and fighting spirit Jimmy had, and i will never forget him.
List of other inconsistencies not pointed out by the teacher:
- The "young African slave couple" Jimmy was born to was on the verge of curing cancer.
- Countless samurai and ninja in WW2.
- ...who's Maximoto?
- President Maximoto becomes President Japan halfway through the fight
- Man did battle in Tokyo, and then teleported to China at the end.
He’s just that good, he teleports. Also, nobody said you can’t cure cancer if you’re a slave. They could have escaped.
President Maximoto really needed to become president.
I’m actually impressed by how competent the grammar and spelling is.
He is truly one of the people of all time.
Jimmy deserves a spot on the next Sabaton album ASAP, more people need to hear about this influential but forgotten man.
Jimmy McPerson was truly a person in history
Jimmy McPerson also fought in World War 3 and 4, and cured cancer. Jimmy McPerson will always be remember along with "president Japan".
