The problem is if u eat only rajma and chole Or any daal than it's balanced as it have 20-25% protein other 70-75% content is carbs but when u combine it with rice and chapati our diet becomes more carbs focused. And don't forget we also have aloo matar ki sabji, gobhi aloo which is all carbs and sugar Also we consume much sugar also in tea and milk in Western up people consumes ghee bura( powdered sugar) with rice.
The believe system is doodh piyo ghee khao body bnao that's what we hear from our parents or grand parents. Also whenever we eat protein sources we prepare it in a very tasty way with oils, masala and all that too with naan, lacha, rice which not at all balanced some people eats a lot of rice with chicken curry or fish curry which again make it carbs dominant.
Thanks for pointing out the truth. I get it that he kinda has to pander to his Vegetarian Hindi belt audience but he is skipping the calories bit very conveniently.

I am not below poverty but I calculated I am taking less protein than recommended as well as my whole family and my friends and their families you can say it doesn't matter if you are poor or not if you are vegetarian like middle class family who can't eat paneer 3 times a day or take curd with every meal you are in protein deficit. And supplements is taboo in india

Absolutely correct, we are getting enough protein from cereals but they are not complete proteins, but we can combine different food items to make it possible
What about calories and trust mixing cereal is not the option
Mix any incomplete protein in gaumutra, it will become complete protein

You won't likely get enough protein from cereals due to soil depletion unless you buy the highest quality.

Hi sir I have a confusion about combining protein food to get adequate about of protein to complete the amino acid profile.. For example rice (incomple) and chana(incomplete) do I need to take them together or can be taken at anytime or what should be the time gap between them to complete the protein profile ..I've heard the our lever store amino acid whenever we take a incomplete protein the stored amino acid come forward to complete the protein
