Working hard so that I can move out of India. Although I love my country but can't keep working like this without any hopes from the government. I come under 30 percent tax slab but struggling to meet ends in a city like Pune. I also dream of buying a house for me, taking care of my parents. How am I gonna be able to do this. There is absolutely no benefit provided to me. Seriously waiting for the opportunity to get out of India. Both my parents didn't even had an annual income more than 1 lakh. I have seen really tough times. And finally after slogging when I am able to come out of that situation, the govt is sitting like an eagle to snatch away everything. Salaried employee here, I fall in max tax bracket of 20%, so a decent part of salary goes to tax, then I pay GST for everything I buy. so 2X tax. Same time there is a corporater, who does no agriculture but claims loss in agriculture and heard(allegedly) he pays less then 50K tax and roams in Fortuner and has a servant who takes care of him, holds his umbrella, gets him water etc... That is why the issue is where 2% of the population pays IT and Finance minister in last ~7 budgets just squeeze this 2-3% of population. If they had real concern they would introduce policies to increase tax coverage, say even 5% of population is covered under tax bracket that is (not scientific) around doubling the current tax collection, should this not give leverage to reduce tax for salaried folks in future budgets...but Nooo...all governments just believe in squeezing this salaried bucket...
Most of those 2-3% people also misguided by politicians/religion, otherwise those 2-3% people also can motivate/educate another 5-10% of voters and if that’s happen then it will show the result.

We are already paying so much, and now we have to pay on our savings too. Short-term gains are taxed from 15% to 20%, and long-term gains from 10% to 12.5%. How is a person supposed to save and survive? Even if a person pays taxes for the country's progress, what do they get in return? Corruption. Forget about state infrastructure, what about central infrastructure? The Prime Minister inaugurates the Pragati Maidan tunnel, which gets flooded in the first rain and is of no use. It’s a total waste of middle-class taxes. Why should I now give my savings to them as well?

Salaried employee here, I fall in max tax bracket of 20%, so a decent part of salary goes to tax, then I pay GST for everything I buy. so 2X tax.
Same time there is a corporater, who does no agriculture but claims loss in agriculture and heard(allegedly) he pays less then 50K tax and roams in Fortuner and has a servant who takes care of him, holds his umbrella, gets him water etc... That is why the issue is where 2% of the population pays IT and Finance minister in last ~7 budgets just squeeze this 2-3% of population. If they had real concern they would introduce policies to increase tax coverage, say even 5% of population is covered under tax bracket that is (not scientific) around doubling the current tax collection, should this not give leverage to reduce tax for salaried folks in future budgets...but Nooo...all governments just believe in squeezing this salaried bucket...
Most of those 2-3% people also misguided by politicians/religion, otherwise those 2-3% people also can motivate/educate another 5-10% of voters and if that’s happen then it will show the result.
Don't be that surprised there are people who have 2-3 big cars yet apply for EWS. And irony is they have the certificate for the same.

A salaried person pay 3-4 month salary in taxes and the increase in income is not keeping pace, and inflation is rising every year. We are already paying so much, and now we have to pay on our savings too. Short-term gains are taxed from 15% to 20%, and long-term gains from 10% to 12.5%. How is a person supposed to save and survive? Even if a person pays taxes for the country's progress, what do they get in return? Corruption. Forget about state infrastructure, what about central infrastructure? The Prime Minister inaugurates the Pragati Maidan tunnel, which gets flooded in the first rain and is of no use. It’s a total waste of middle-class taxes. Why should I now give my savings to them as well?
