Does this thing screw apart at all, could be fixed? OR just get an extended warranty on it if it's available on a site that provides that? Maybe Furitek will replace it, but how long is the wait? I will likely buy it at some point because i really like that it fits everything in very compact and centered.
The side-by-side comparison with the stock redcat motor was surprising! The unity looks huge by itself - I was not expecting them to be so close in size. I’m excited to try it out!
Reasonably priced. Comparable in size to many brushed motors, yet still saves room not having to run an external esc. Looks like it performs well. Win, win I'm in.
@2fmrc Hahaha oh man being a redneck at heart this gave me an amazing, stupid idea: attach fireworks to a couple trucks, like bottle rockets or the ones in the little tanks that just shoot sparks. Use the igniters for model rocket engines to light them off, might need a separate battery for them but I'm sure there's a way to control it from the remote with a little creativity. Then obviously use them to fight! Crawlers are fun, but crawler flamethrower battles? forget about it lol
Does this fit in for the FMS FCX18 LC80 ? And is the furitek receiver combo compatible with the one from fms ? Amazing videos, really love the details that you put into your content. Its very helpful.
I really appreciate it! I haven’t tried it on the lc80 but with some work anything is possible lol. It would definitely need a different pinion. The FMS transmitter should bind up with the receiver from Furitek for sure.
Nice!! Glad to see they made a tiny version for the mini crawlers now cuz I’m loving the 1/10 fusions 👍🏻. Would this motor combo work for the trx4m ripper chassis? I’m currently building one from scratch and was looking for a motor to put in it and I’m liking this. Also thanks for the vids my dude! Love all your vids. Keep em coming! Now I’m also wanting an ascent 18 more and more now 😂👍🏻
@@modernart86 I’d say anything the stock motor will fit in it would work. I bought one of those rippers a long time ago but never got around to building it so I can’t say for sure lol
yeah you can use it on the trx4m but the battery connector is different and reason i like the furitek phython etc as you can unplug and change that..yes you can use adapters , solder etc but a diff wire plug is just so much tidier. also how does it fit on a std ascent 18...will it hit the upper links like the std motor does at full shock compression? yeah also that seperate on/off switch is a let down as the python etc has it built into the esc case so much better, plus the fact as you say if the 2 in 1 goes out you lose both motor and esc, there so not feeling it on the 2 in 1., and have them on the 10ths but there cheap .
I'd like to see someone pop one of these open. Circles are not very space efficient if using regular square boards, so I wonder if they have a special circular board or two in there, or square ones with some wasted space. Either way, the packaging is really impressive.
I hope furitek take note of how much & how good the new Injora stuff is. It's a fraction of the price & equally as impressive imo. I've swapped out 2 mini komodos now for the viper & it is far more impressive. Admittedly, the cedar is better, but again, it's a lot more expensive. Side note, I just ordered one of those wpl c24 crawlers. Have you got any of them? It was only £28 so if it's rubbish, at least the body shell looks good
@@DesignedRhyme I do have one actually! I put an original scx24 esc in it and it made it much better. They actually aren’t half bad for their price. I installed some metal driveshafts and stuff on it but it rarely gets used. There is a chassis on Etsy that I’ve been thinking about getting that fits a trx4m to the wheelbase needed for the body. Comes with sliders and mounts for the c24 body and all! Its like $45 but it would be cool to fit the c24 body to a trx4m
Haha, nice! I ordered the metal upgrades, too, as it was all so cheap. I've got so many spare parts from various RCs. Obviously, not as much as you, but I'm sure I could make something good from it all. Alliexpress is having one of their sales again, so I thought, why not 😅
@@DesignedRhyme I know exactly what you mean! Thats how I end up with a lot of my stuff. I see a sale on something I just can’t pass it up lol. Keep me updated on the c24! @2fmrc Will do mate. You could make some vids going from standard to something really good! As I've got a couple of furitek motors spare now, I might try & bodge one in it. Trouble is if we were to replace everything, is it even a C24 anymore? lol.
So on Furitek's site it says this is just for the TRX4M. Other than the length, is there any reason this won't work in an SCX24 build? I have a very compact cab only 6x6 build and there is really no place in the cab for electronics. I have plenty of room for the length of this motor though. So when I saw this on their website I was hoping you had already dropped one in an SCX24. Thanks for sharing bro.
@@krowe33 they are going to be releasing one for the scx24 soon. You could use this one with a motor mount and correct pinion but they should have one for the scx24 going up very soon. The scx24 is different.
